We need JP 63 and sundown salt 6 comparison
@@newmoney8128 I agree. @wal I have a JP63 sitting on my bench. Do you have access to a SALT 6? Could be a really dope video.
@@RealPivotTV man hopefully @wal will do the video because JP claims there the same I'd like to see how close they are
@@newmoney8128 man I’m right there with you. I don’t know if they are the same maybe output power but the salt amps are made to work with low voltage everything I have seen tell me the JP amps like 14volts and don’t like low voltage. I could be totally wrong though 🤷🏽♂️
@@RealPivotTV I agree with you there I've had a few JP amps I had the JP33 and it really didn't care for a few future songs that have a lot of low base and no salt lamps you have to get a custom box made for the combo you put with that salt and the subs by sundown. But I would really like to see the comparison between those two
If you could take this amp back to the 90's you'd be a god of car stereo!!
All respect to Price, but he is not an electronics engineer, just a bass enthusiast. What kills me is he alone is leading the big watt amp revolution, while the classic amp names are just fading away... yall remember Orion? Precsion Power? Hell JBL?? its like the dudes that been in the game for decades are hard-pressed to do anything amazing and here come Price, leveling up on all them fools. He's literally got designs upon designs. 7 channels, 5 channels, 4 channels... all under-reported rated powered, and beautiful (if u like Skittles colors, lol). Mad respect to this dude!! Seriously, major Thanks JP!!
JP smashes it every time. I'm glad they send you their gear. Just continually blown away by how good they are.
Thanks Big D Williston appreciate your page continued success always
Yessir
Thanks for watching and commenting with positive vibes!!
I am impressed they did the right thing, other companies would have marketed 14,000 watts . As long as there is truth in advertising and decent sound quality it is a no brainer
Another great beast! 👍🏻
How watt prices have dropped during the years. No excuse nowadays to get a cheap Pyle / Pyramid.
Everybody don't have budget for a 800 dollar amp still.use what you can afford
Yeah but you can get a great amp like the Recoil 2500 for $175. You don't have to go Pyramid but you can definitely fine some good stuff nowadays 😁
Love it man!
That JBL is crazy! Pulls 12A at idle with the fluorescent light connected 😲
Before LEDeeze I guess
I'm surprised this amp didn't flip a breaker for the power company during the dyno.
the setup uses LTO battery as a power source. no breaker too if i rmb correctly
Sold me on that new clip tech 😳
Input / output and practically an O scope on your amp
Priceless 🔥❤️
fosgate amps have the same clip input/clip output but are much pricier.
Beast Mode, the demo was knocking shit off my desk!
I got to admit, JP out there selling good amps at great prices, unlike some of these people on youtube *cough Gately*
Jp makes great stuff
Ehh overpriced for sure
There nice they smell easy, the speaker instert terminals strip super easy aswell on them. Overall there all right my jp23v2 they get down, but they get pretty warm really quick
@@PedroKing99good but you needed plenty battery power or lithium though
@@jrockaz548 u are crazy
@@JohnnyCashCadillac got multiple jp amps all put put more than rated power
That remote knob is sweet! I rarely even use those, but if they were like that one, I definitely would.
I’m hoping one day. We will actually see a hurting get put on those woofers
Bought a skar rp1500.1 2 years ago when I first put the build in my 98 s10 extended cab....and it never gave me a mins trouble ....but I was a teenager in the early to mid 90s so I remember the old us amps and how cool those big boys were ....so I bought a jp23v1.5 and it's a beast for the price caught it on sale for 249 around first of the year ...and it seems to be a very good amp ...build quality and features for the price I don't think you can beat ....sure there are cheaper amps that might even do same power but for the money the jp amps are a incredible investment....i have run mine for hours and never heard the fan come on or seen the temp over 116 usually runs around 106....at full volume....granted I am only a little past half way on the gain ....because that's all the power my American bass xr dual 2 12 needs or seems to be happiest at ....so yeah as you say jp for the win ....great products
You do realize gain has nothing to do with how much power an amp puts out right? Its matching the input section to whatever your head unit is outputting. So say a Kenwood Excelon with 5 volt preamp section the gain would stay all the way down and still put out max power. Just an fyi
That has got a sexy old skool look to it man, the red pops and even has that oldskool vibe!
I’ve been really on the fence about buying a D4S amp…. But those numbers are just beautiful 👌
him being in the game with sundown and known which biuld house companies to goto Korean biult if I'm spending the money jp def the direction I'd go
I have 2 JP23's. With all D4S mids and highs, D4S power/ground, etc. Brother, these amps, videos, and pictures don't do them justice. The output that these amps put out are insane and sound freaking awesome as long as you know how to tune your equipment.
Down4Sound just keeps proving that they are the car audio brand everyone should be buying. I need one of these but with less power lol like 1k per channel.
Perfect amp for my Tweeters 👍
I wish I had 2 of those amps. I would run 1 amp on 2 subwoofers and 1 channel on the other amp on a 3rd subwoofer and the other channel for my mids and highs.
I remember seeing one of those JBL/Crown amps in someone’s rig at an IASCA sanctioned event back in the day.
couldnt imagine needing 6k watts to run the mids and highs, all for under 1k.....tech has come along way
i love the clip in part to synch your gains.....
Powerhouse for sure, that Clip in light is a great feature as well 👍
That's a powerhouse indeed!
Takes me back when I was going to mobile dynamics in phoenix and Alma gates showed up with their bronco. It was before there was any mids and highs just bass. 6 jbl crown amps. I got to sit in it and they played it to about 160 with me inside it. Seeing how small amps are now is amazing
Right on. Power supply is more important then any piece of equipment.
I checked about an hour ago for a video and no. Went and soldered some things and came back and 💥 thanks for the Sunday entertainment!!
Great video…. Nice to show something for the other components in an audio system
Clap in is so importent though. I wish other car audio compaines will have that type of ciruit.
For mids and highs, that 1kzh test was iffy at best. I still love D4S
Haven’t seen any dyno tests of B2 amps. One of the most interesting in my opinion please review the REF FOUR 4 channel please!!
Big D, I can’t wait for your videos on the new jp amp lines) mini maxxx, and marine line
D4s4life baby! Thanks for all the vids D wizz
Big D ..We need to see JP 63 and Sundown Salt 6 comparison
I dont know what you were talking about with the quad box not being hella loud Big D. I had on some high quality earbuds and the bass was insane coming from the quad box. 6000 watts should get you into the 150's with the quad box in the right car. Anyways great video as always bro. Love JP's amplifiers. They pretty much changed the game. Way to go JP. I had been a d4s customer for years before this, but the next amplifier I order is definitely gonna be a JP63
Yeah man. I have a 8 inch crappy Skar hooked up to my office computer and the quad box was rattling my walls!
@@RealPivotTV That's awesome. I was thinking about doing something similar with a pair of American Bass XR 12's in a 4 ft³ ported enclosure and an Orion XTR 2500.1 I have laying around from an older stereo, but I'm honestly afraid I'm just gonna knock everything off my walls with it, lol. It did a 148Db in a Trailblazer with a small 32Ah LiFePO4 lithium bank, and a 270 amp alternator, and the sound quality was really good on the AB XR subwoofers. Guess I'll try to stuff that old system into the trunk of a cheap hatchback and have some fun with it. Maybe add 2 more subs and a few more lithium cells, plus a JP63 and see how she goes.
@@catch22frubert that’s a lot for inside your house. If you do it you will need power supply that can provide some voltage to that amp
Dang, that triple color clip light is extremely cool. Does the incredible D4S bass knob work with that feature? Wouldn't be shocked if it does but I think I may have found the only missing feature, one I didn't know existed, lol.
Willing to bet it’ll be incorporated into the remote by next year!
Huh a JP, I wonder if it will do it's rated power lol
The clip indicator light is a game changer every amp should have
Pretty serious stuff when power cable starts flexing 😮
I always look forward to your videos, I use them to inform myself on what ammo I should get for my money. Keep up the great work....
Being old as dirt, I am skeptical of all of these new brands but the D4S stuff is sure intriguing..
Great video. Those JP amps don't mess around👍🏼👍🏼
Not sure what you do with amps that are given to you for an independent test acter the test is completed. If get rid of them, id surely appreciate this JP amp. If you need my details for shipping (which i will be more than happy to cover the cost), just shoot me a message and i will reply. Truly do enjoy watching your videos. Im surprised you havent been approached to do voice overs for commercials or movies. Anyways, thanks again for the videos and testing you do. Keep up the good work my man. Big A outta Heeere!!
That JP amp is crazy nice. But that JBL amp was a tech marvel. Let's not pretend they are the same please.
Clip in feature is pretty cool. Sam (Barevids) said that shouldn't matter because the amp will filter it out, but I'd rather play it safe.
Not generic caps - low cost, same as thermal interface.
It is nice to see that if other amps have 85° caps it is highlighted :)
@CLICKONPROFILE866 great 😁
Long time sub, still get excited seeing new vid drop.
Holy bejeezus!! This amp is MEGA!! It would be nice if the efficiency was a little better...but holy crap this thing brings the POWA!
Always good stuff! Just got a JP43 and its a beast. This one is the beast master.
That amp is a beast !
Le'ts do this. In that nice red.
Man you've been subscribed to my channel for over 10yrs....thank you!!
Thanks for all the testing & videos. Its great that you do all your testing the same. Curious
amp dyno stops at 5k yet testing results show higher...
Can you please explain
Tyvm appreciated
Was about to say this myself....
He said the dyno can't measure more than 5000 Watts at 4 ohms but can measure 10000 Watts at 2 ohms
That clip out put is a great idea
i love the taylor swift concert footage in the open.... big D knows his shit
I was there...Nashville 👌. And thank you for being a subscriber for over 8 years!!
@wal i wanted to go to the last few... i was at 1989 and struck out on tickets ever since.... does it say i been subbed for 8 years!
@@mcf3778 yeah it tells me on the video page in the comments. I'm not sure why that's the only place but it's awesome to see this! I'm not a big concert person, but the Swift one was pretty amazing. My wife got the tickets but it was through a reseller and I don't want to know how much she paid...so I didn't ask 😊
Power is much cheaper today than it was back when the JBL A6000 was made. However, the JBL was still more powerful delivering the 3000W x 2 at 2 ohms rather than 1 ohm. The JBL was probably cleaner power also. D4S really isn’t an SQ brand by any means. They are made for power and big bass, not really anything else.
Yep, back in the day you didn't have to run massive electrical in your car to hit 150db.
When I see things like this it makes me think it might be worth selling my m4a and grabbing a couple of these. I'll still probably keep the m4a but this is tempting
12:27 I think the word you’re looking for is “throbbing” 😂😂😂😂
I have 2 x A6000s and a A3000.... im not trading them out for this amp, but damn this thing is no joke!
Those ratings look like Pyramids ratings on eBay back in the day
JL used those same samha caps in the slash series, I’ve never seen one go bad so I guess they’re good enough.
That is awesome wow. One question at 5000 watts you said you could not test over 5000 watts with the Dyno but you went past that with the second part of the test I’m just trying to understand how the dyno works and where it’s limitations are. 😊
It can't measure over 5000W at 4 ohms, but can do 10,000W at 2 ohms
@@wal
Ok. Thank you for the info 😊
Over 1% THD at 1 ohm? Yeah... thats a fail for a full range amplifier. Still a fantastic amplifier for the price.. but even subwoofer amplifiers manage well below 1% THD... so for it to not count up cleanly, thats a hard pass for me.
Holyholy crap man ive just fell in love man say it aint so man... that amp colour with the lexan looks right on oldskool... ive gotta buy one now dangit🔉🔉🔥
Unless you are listening to test tones, dynamic power may be more important than a 1khz test tone.
Me personally I feel like this isn’t necessary for mids and highs with the huge footprint and current pull. It makes more since to get a sound digital 8k or Stetsom 8k or 6k just my opinion
This amps a beast!! Imagine this on your door speakers with a ton of speakers 😂
Def a serious amp. 2would be perfect for my system
Thanks for being a subscriber for over 3 years, you rock 🤟
power up 💪 thank you for the review 💜
Thanks.
Dyn burst test on 1 channel only would be intrresting
Why do I watch these videos at 3am? I don't even listen to music, let alone want a car stereo upgrade. 😄
That cable flex, now that's something you don't see everyday!!!
Hmmm 12:07 looks similar to my JP10.4 even though it’s not rated at 1 ohm it still does it, very well actually 😉
This amp can put that quad box thru hell !
Lawd that’s a lot of power for a 2 channel amp!
The amp not counting cleanly is definitely a cause for concern. Sounds like an interference issue inside the amp. Even with the outputs on a resistor bank, and nothing wrong with the bank, it should count clean. I would need to see a schematic, but I’m willing to bet there’s a filtering/emi suppression issue.
Won't be no schematics, this is a ZEON brand amp. They will provide no schematics. Its Korean....barely. S and I will provide schematics as long as you are their customer.
@@XM913CG D4S is regarded very well, making an amplifier that introduces enough noise to where it can’t count properly sounds like a major oops.
probably great for jp's shop trucks doors
I just wish D4S would warranty the broken back panel that came on my jp34
This amp is sharp
Crazy numbers here BigD👍 wow!
Hi my friend
Your video is always interesting to watch anytime and anywhere.
Can you test a yamaha stereo amplifier on your dyno for example ns 303 from yamaha
Nice!
Thanks for watching and commenting and also for being a subscriber for over 4 years!
12:17 try two 1 ohm loads on a bridged JP10/4 😉
awesome it has a 10x switch because i was looking for something 3000+ for some tweeters
Seems insane I know...but some use dozens of tweeters in these big systems. And thank you for being subscribed for more than 8 years!!!
Nice love your videos!
Would recommend the Orion 5500
Would love do a review on the Terminator 1X6.1 Amplifier?
that is so crazy power amp...wow!
Big D cane you test ( audio system Italy AF8000 ) greetings from the Netherlands .
Imagine using this for door speakers 😂
It's like having a V8 powered blender! That's a LOT of power.
I just bought a JP77 but next sub amp im desiding between the jp43 and jp32.2 but at least now i dont have to run the skar amp but i want a half ohm test of the jp77 sub side
Will you ever test high dc voltage audio amps? Tramps hv 20k chipeo?
But we already know Jp makes great amps
Hey man I have a question for you I have a taramps 3k hd and and 2 dual 1ohm Rockville punisher wired at .25 ohm. Do you think this would damage my amp, the amp is turned down very low because this amps is insane on power! Big shot out to you and your channel because without watching ur vids I wouldn't of know how much power this amp has. it runs fine amp doesn't get hot no clip light or protection goes on. Would value your opinion cuz ur a pro!
I don’t recall hearing what class this amplifier is. The efficiency numbers in the first test suggests a class D.
A hidden pro of this amp (like the massive 4 channel you tested several months ago also) is this is a modern class D. Most of the big class D amps are still using 20 year old PWM driver tech that can’t reproduce a full range signal, so the tech is reserved for subwoofer amps. But it’s 2023 and standards need to evolve like they have here finally. All the new huge class D amps-even ones intended for subwoofers-should be using modern PWM circuitry like this. Hope amps like this set a new standard
It didn't count clean at 1khz, I don't know how full range this really is.
@@timmturner it was probably just slightly above 1% THD because it jumped up at the end to rated. You won't hear 1% THD from an amp on anything but extremely high end speakers or studio monitors. Speakers that costs tens of thousands. And even then wthout well trained ears you'd only hear it playing test tones and not actual music
@@darrylpioch2055 what I'm saying is at higher frequencies it may be worse
@@timmturner and class Ds have different distortion levels at different frequencies. Any frequency that's a lower harmonic of the amp's PWM switching frequency will have a lot more distortion. That 1K could have been among them and it might have a lot less distortion at 15 or 20k
Digital Designs was using that remote first.
Didn't you have an Orion 5k hit 13+ .5 ohm
Do you have a guide or something detailing what these tests represent? I am an aspiring electrical engineer and I'd like to understand better what you're showing here. Great video!
The certified tests are to show what the power rating of the amp is as certified by the manufacturer. So when they put specs & information in the manual that the amp produces an RMS power of say 500watts per channel that it is Certified from factory to either produce that wattage or close to. Some companies try to be truthful and also tend to down rate the actual power rating put out by the amplifier. So in the manual they would say it's certified to put out 500watts RMS when in actuality it is producing 580watts RMS. For reputable brands it's a safe zone so they don't get called out for lying.
Uncertified tests are just that, uncertified. So where the amp would be Certified to produce 500watts RMS per channel or close to, its' Uncertified rating would be that 580watts RMS that's actually being produced while in use.
The Burst tests are to show what the amp will physically put out in a small duration of time while playing a tone track. An amp will physically play at a power rating far above what it's made to produce while in normal usage. Then it will level off to its' certified power rating.
I hope my ramblings are easy to understand. I was also using examples to get the point across so it's nothing related to the video. I am neither an engineer or a professional audio technician, just someone who finds audio of all types interesting. :)
