    In my video, I took some of the bulgogi stew out of the my clay pot and put it in a smaller clay pot since I wanted to serve it for one person in this video. So my clay pot was not hot at all. You might wonder how I could hold that hot pot without any oven mitts.. hehe so please make sure that you wear oven mitts to hold the hot clay pot. 😉

    i love your videos. i make and pack all kinds of 찌개 and 반찬 to my boyfriend (he lives alone in usa) so he can enjoy during week and he can feel not too much homesick and he loves my cooking thanks to you and other korean youtubers showing me how to make delicious homemade korean food

      Wow, your Korean bf is so lucky to have you. You are so sweet to him. I'm sure that your Korean food will comfort him for his homesick. When I got married, it was my big joy to cook and feed Korean food almost every day for my American husband. Since he enjoyed my food a lot, it made me want to cook for him more and more. I can feel the love and energy from you too..maybe you feel the same way I had...hehe THanks

    I grew up with this style of eating and now that I'm independent, I can appreciate the time it took to create so many side dishes. I love this style of eating because of the variety and you feel more satisfied with less cravings this way. Thanks for sharing :D The bulgolgi stew looked really fancy!!

      I always wondered how different the authentic Chinese food .. compare to the Chinese food we can get in the restaurants in America.. :) What was your favorite food from your mom when you were little ?? ^^

    • @Ladeliciadelinda

      Aeri's Kitchen Chinese food is very similar to Korean. Three side dishes, bok Choy, soup and rice. We have "soong" (can't write Chinese 😣) which are basically banchan. My mom was a bad cook but my grandma was great 😋👍. My favorite dish my grandma would make are plain rice crepe rolls. She would add green onions and dried shrimp in them sometimes. As for a dinner side dishes, my grandma often made so much variety. Steamed fluffy eggs, whole fish seasoned in a soy sauce soup base, tripe, salt and pepper whitebait or anchovies. 🐟
      On special occasions my grandma made these fried Mochi balls stuffed with minced pork and Chinese radish.

      hi Huong Nguyen,
      Oh, you don't have to say sorry. I'm not familiar with many other countries' food either. :) About your question, there are different ways to enjoy dried seaweed in Korean cuisine. You can season and roast it and eat it rice as you thought.. you can just roast it and wrap the rice with kimchi and soy sauce too.. you can put the seaweed in the soup as a garnish.. you can make kimbap with it..which is rolled rice with seaweed with other ingredients.. :)

      I'm sorry but .. I don't think you buy this same set of meal somewhere.. you can order your choice of soup or main dish with your rice at a Korean resttauran, then they will give different kinds of side-dishes they serve for their customers. This particular meal name is "O-Cheop-Ban-Sang" in Korean... but it's just a traditional meal name but not a name for kit of side-dishes you asked..

    All the food on that table is for one person?Can a person really finish it all? I'm not being sarcastic just curious. I usually eat a three course meal and is full. Trying to figure out how koreans stay skinny with a table set up like that.

    • @aeriskitchen
      @aeriskitchen  3 роки тому +2

      It have been changing...but traditionally,.. Korean eating culture is sharing side dishes on the table... so each person will have his / her own rice and soup...but the rest of the dishes will be shared with others on the table.. it is especially common at home... but nowadays.. more and more people have own seperate individual side dish plates or serving spoons for side dishes too as western people would do... anyway... I just wanted to show the traditional Korean meal setting in this video.. btw.. yes.. Korean meal has many different kinds of side-dishes for one meal... :)

      @@aeriskitchen Oooooh! Ok that makes more sense. I imagined going to korea and trying the food and being considered rude by not being able to finish this entire meal lol. My stomach was getting full watching you set the table, so I'm glad to know the side dishes are shared. Thanks for your response. I enjoy watching your videos and so far have made Japche, kimpap, ttokpoki, kimchi, jjajamyong and a few more. I look forward to trying to make the side dishes. Best wishes to you and your family 😊

      You are right... lots of dishes to wash.. But.. not like western meal.... we can share the side dishes together on the table in Korea.. so that helps little bit.. still lots of dishes though..hehe

      lol.. I agree with you... especially Korean cooking is more complicated ... but I have to eat Korean food everyday.. hehe If you have some premade side-dishes and kimchi in your refrigerator.. actually it's not to bad to prepare Korean meal :)
