I've started doing these before my shoulder and chest workouts with the kettle bell press and holy crap my shoulders feel so much better. You're a savior dude
Do you do any other shoulder warm-ups?
I have been doing it for only two days and I saw amazing difference and improvement.
I am doing his recommended exercises to back and knees too and they are not hurting anymore.

I do banded shoulder exercies like these everyday. Dont sleep sleep on stability/ mobility exercises. Also dont underestimate resistance bands... arguably the most versatile and bang for your buck equiptment

I added these to my routine shoulder warm up before presses and it’s a game changer. I feel so much more stable and my shoulder pain during and after has completely disappeared.

I've been doing this exercise (only difference is that I go all the way up with straight arms on the banded press) for a couple of days and my shoulders and elbows have felt fantastic. Thanks for the tip.
Today done first time this exercise - it was painfull - and it helps imediately!
Ive done a lot of exercises for my shoulder pain but this one really worked
Game changer!! That one and the single DB press on a flat bench with a loop band around my wrists have transformed my shoulders from constantly aching to virtually no pain at all…. Ever!!
What's the resistance of the band ?
@@ABHISHEK-mk5gj You can either use a long theraband and tie the ends together or use a mini loop band both work well!!

@@jonpall3760 2 Times a week and 4-5 sets in a workout
For accessories moments i mainly do rear delt work like face pulls and rear delt dumbell fly and also I swing Indian mace to keep my rotator cuff strong all these 3-4 sets once or may be twice a week
This is WRONG on so MANY lvls. Those nipplerings should be gold and there should be a gold chain from one to the other. Anyway, Imma try the exercise

Left has less external rotation mobility but has flexibility

External rotation band drill holding 3s before raising into ohp position holding 5s (repeat for 5 Reps)
I do band work every night before bed for my shoulders...... It works miracles.
Been doing this and it helps. Can do incline dumbbells but still doing landmines for shoulders
I have just started weight lifting, 7 weeks ago. First 4 weeks on arm days the instructor had me just use bands for my shoulder that was constantly in pain and popping out its socket even doing everyday tasks. My life is changed, shoulder stays in place and no pain anymore.

Nice 👍🏻 ya I’m with ya on that one. I’ve been reading shoulders & building programs with your book in conjunction with a few other studies. Don’t worry, you’d approve. I’ve made amazing rehab gains in just a few days. This should add nicely. Just a bump in the road, but I thank you greatly. Sometimes it’s underneath the side of the pec against the ribs it seems.

I hurt my shoulder BENCH PRESSING when i was little. About 30 years later just learning about this. A few sets of different rotator exercises is literally the difference in extreme pinching pain 9/10 to 0/10. It's insane. Everyone should know this and make it mandatory if youre strength training

There's a progression to extend from that finishing position to vertically overhead (if you have the rom without pain)

Im still amazed sometimes by how some people can be that strong but at the same time have a specific spot thats really weak.

I felt really strong almost painful contractions on this exercise which is a good thing because i have had no luck cueing external rotation in the past, something else always takes over and I can’t progress.

Would this help with frozen shoulder (shoulder rotated forward and scapula following)? Gonna try it anyway. Couldnt hurt. But was wondering if frozen shoulder was his diagnosis.
I have similar problem with left shoulder rounding forward and scapula following with some winging. Did you fix it ? How has your progress been if any ?

Turns out I also have this problem. Guessing those face pulls I’ve been doing for years aren’t the solution.
I'm trying to understand if this exercise must be done in the range of motion showed in the video or if I think extend the arms all the way straight over the head, another video concerning rehab of sovraspinatus inflammation/injury showed vertical arm extension overhead instead of ending the first half at 90 degree with vertical forearms. any answer is really welcome!

When I through a football the back of my shoulders hurt. Would this work on healing my movement?

How high should you raise up overhead while doing the band external rotation
I've the same issue unstable external rotator. Whenever I lift it looks same like this strongman one arm goes higher than other and struggle alot to finish the rep.
Also during bench press it looks same struggle alot to finish and the affected shoulder come forward to finish my rep.
Strength has also decreased of affected shoulder .
Should I do the same band exercise?
Can my rotator cuff muscles be weak?
