  • SHOULDER PAIN that NEVER goes away?
    .
    Does it hurt when...
    You wake up?
    When you workout?
    When you drive?
    Reaching up into your cupboard?
    .
If you’re done with shoulder pain FOREVER, you need to watch this video.
    .
Most shoulder problems can be fixed permanently, yes, you read that correctly, PERMANENTLY. The way you do that is by going after the cause of the problem, instead of just relieving the pain.
    .
Shoulder impingement is a broad term, but for the sake of this video, it’s referring to the compression and subsequent irritation of the Supraspinatus tendon.
    .
To keep the anatomy simple, the tendon gets trapped between the already tiny amount of space that it has to travel through in order to get to its destination. And the head of the humerus (arm bone) pressing into it from the bottom.
    .
It’s like trying to feed a rubber band through a pair of pliers...it’s only a matter of time until that tendon has a blow out.
    .
The lead up to a catastrophic shoulder failure is that pinching aching shoulder pain that keeps you from moving your arm anywhere near overhead position.
    .
A few things need to happen, in a specific order, to ensure that your shoulder impingement is gone forever.
    .
    1. Turn off the surrounding muscles that are going to war with your own movement.
    2. Create some space for the tendon to move.
    3. Retrain shoulder position to the new normal.
    .
One piece that’s often overlooked is rapid concentric movements to strengthen tendons, so at the end of this video, I address that too!
    .
    1️⃣ Loaded Torso Drop: 3 x 15
    2️⃣ Loaded Cross to Overhead: 2 x 10
    3️⃣ Loaded Cross Sweep: 3 x 10
    4️⃣ Wall Vee: 3 x 15
    5️⃣ High Speed Band Pull: 3 x 5
    .
Do this 3-4 times a week🤩and join the army if you haven't yet - smashwerx.com/join-smashwerx/
    .
    Love you guys!
    .

I found you 4 days ago. I left a comment then removed it. I’ve done your exercises for the past 3 days...and I’m sitting here doing my own thing and just realized ...I have no pain right now!! So I came back just to let you know.....This is beyond me, bc for a year my shoulder has made me literally angry.
It amazes me how someone like you can fix me and yet....obviously doesn’t even have this injury. . A million TYS!!!!

Did you have shoulder impingement ?

  • @imambaybars3405

I've had impingement in both shoulders for years now, and have tried many different exercises without much relief, the only thing that worked for me is hanging from a pull-up bar, (best with neutral grip for static hanging or classic grip for swinging) for a few minutes which can be broken into shorter periods but should add up to at least 2-3 minutes for beginners, relieves about 60 percent of the pain on the first day, and gets better with time but you need to be consistent with it. There's a shoulder surgeon who wrote a book on this treatment after conducting trials on his patients and most resolved it without surgery just by hanging.

I had impingement on one shoulder due to bad swim technique. Hanging also worked for me. The great thing about hanging is that it is so easy.

Yeah I agree mate, I’ve got a partial tear in supra spinatus and labrum, also bursitis. Hanging has made more difference than every other movement together.
Also doing a sub scap release under armpit seems really good too.

I had impingements on both sides, but at different times. Can't imagine how much it would suck to have them both at he same time.

What fixed my bad shoulder impingement was physio bands, followed by dead hanging on a pull up bar, and finally Macebell 360s and steel clubs. No more pain, and bullet proof shoulders stronger than ever.

@Ilir Cami Depends on the setting you work in, but yes, TBI is a common diagnosis to see especially in the hospitals. As OTs, we tend to focus a lot on the upper extremities when it comes to biomechanics and rehab. But it’s only just a small percentage of the vast amount of areas we can address in this profession.

@Ilir Cami there are quite a bit of techniques we can use, and it depends on the setting and the specific task. But here is a link that talks about OT and TBI. Hope it helps! I battled my shoulder pain for over 6 months I went from my doctor to my chiropractor to physical therapy with little to no success. I came across your video yesterday p.m. I performed the exercises outlined in your video while watching you do them and by the end of the video I was able to move my arm and shoulder past a point that it hadn't been in over six months! btw I am not an emotional person by any stretch, but this sense of relief made my eyes tear up a little. I say that only because you help to get rid of a problem I had and honestly thought I was stuck with forever. My shoulder is not at 100% YET but at least I know it can be thanks to you. I am continuing your exercises today and moving forward. THANK YOU!

I broke my leg with an axe and had to walk in a cast for several months. Long story short it messed up the way I walk a bit and that compounds my back pain for years and the past couple years or more I've been feeling real debilitated and like I'm fighting an enemy that knows my every move so I can never win merely inflame my back. My good arm has been dwindling away as I've had such a lack of range of movement and so much inflammation. These techniques are the only things I've been able to get RELIEF. Simply hanging from a bar fixed my impingement issues. Suffered for six months before discovering this simple fix. Simply hang for 30 seconds three times before and after your workout. If you can’t support your body weight use a low bar so you can use your legs to support some of the weight.

Hi Trevor, I have battling shoulder impingement pain for more than a year. I was just about ready to see a physical therapist but came upon your video about a week ago. I carefully watched your video 2 - 3 times and wrote down your exact instruction. I completed fixes 1 - 5 every other day as you suggested. After day 2 I was feeling much better and after day 3 I was amazed at the results. As you suggested, I will be doing fixes 1 - 5 three times a week for the rest of my life. I am 65 and have a few other issues from years of sports/exercise and injuries. I look forward to better knees and other injury/weakness locations. Thanks so much and I will be getting the word out concerning your awesome instruction. Thanks again!

Really enjoyed this training/therapy. My shoulders felt a lot a relief just with a couple times of doing it

Trevor, thank you! For 12 years I have battled my shoulder impingement, but no more. Massive improvement in mobility and pain level. G-d bless you.
