What is the gel like substance you apply when you say you are applying low melt solder at the beginning of the video?
Flux
What happens if you pull a pad off?
Do you have any videos on how to fix a lifted pad from one of those iPads? Thanks!
Did you ever find out? I’ve got that issue right now.
where do you get the microscope from? Thank you!
His website has it man lol, I got it from there and it’s pretty awesome ngl 😄
Great vid. Wish me luck!
3:53 That was brilliant 😮
I just wanted to thank you! I’ve never soldered anything before and you made it look so easy! So I tried on an iPad with a broken charge cable and I just fixed it! Super excited! Definitely liked and subscribed! Please keep making videos!!
accessory not supported problem while charging can u fix it?
Your videos are to short, I barely get into the vids and there over.I really dig what you do but man that are to short.
I was wanting to know how to fix a broken cable. I can see a broken wire on m cable mini side.
Thanks and keep up the great work! Is the technique for this basically as you have mentioned before: 410 iron when mixing unleaded with low melt, 350 air when removing connector, 350 iron to solder connector back with leaded?
Are you talking about Celsius or Fahrenheit?
How much will this cost
super!
Good
Hi my friend. Great video. I´ve done same repair than you in my Ipad Air and the flex charger port is already installed. I´ve checked the connections and it seems all are correct but once I´ve connected the charger to the new USB port (5.2 volts.), I´ve detected 1.4 volts. only in the motherboard battery pads (without the battery fitted). Which voltage should be in these pads? 3,7 volts?
I cannot fit the battery as it´s gone. It´s dead. Before to purchased new one, I need to know if the repair is properly done but that 1,4 volts make me suspect that something is wrong. Can you help me? I´ll appreciate a lot. Thank you.
With respect, the reason you had problem with seeing the alignment windows is because you filled in the alignment X with solder. next time if you use care not to fill in the alignment X with solder, you will be able to see the X through the window, and align the cable perfectly without making holes.
Did you poke holes on the connecting pads are did you buy that from somewhere like that?
Nice work, Nice video! Which cam do you have on your microscope?
Salam and greetings from Germany!
Great video as always, man! I've avoided iPads so far, opting to take in only Android based tablets that don't require heat and adhesive kits to open/close them. I'm pretty nervous about working on these and I haven't been able to find any cheap dead ones that I can practice on yet. :(
Great job sir, awesome.thank you for video
bruh u deserve a gold medal for your vids they are so good , thank you u earned another sub :)
