That penny comparison really highlights how crazy the work you do is. It is so impressive you are able to do such clean and successful work on such tiny components.
You're a magician. You make these very complicated repairs look like child's play.
I can't help but smile at what appears so easy when in reality it's quite hard looking at the work under a microscope makes it all look so large and accessible...but like all things it looks simple when done by a Master....
Apple's anti repair tactics should be illegal.
its not just apple, other manufacturers also use overfill and underfill, but i must admit that pesky charging flex is a dirty move by apple.
I thinks it’s more to do with waterproofing
Uh no. I like my waterproofing very much. When you ship millions of devices glue and protective coatings result in less damaged PCBs and waste then any amount of fixing could make up for.
Yeah get some pitchforks too and act like your android manufacturer friends are angels
@@thenextension9160 then the solution is a low temperature melt glue...
It's amazing how an extremely tiny chip, can make all the biggest difference.
Wicked AWESOME job!!! I didn't know much about the soldering of components onto a PCB, but after watching your for a few months (maybe a year... I think I discovered you when I was down with COVID last January) I've learned a LOT. BIG RESPECT for someone with your talent. And SCREW APPLE!!!! That glue and all those pins on the connector are simply to make it as daunting of a repair task as possible.
absolutely crazy how apple will go to any length to not give access to repair your device, but great work.👍
Look like you got a new camera. Much clearer. Awesome work as usual!
Never would I buy an Apple device. If I ever win one or am gifted with one, I will sell it. The measures they take to stop you from fixing your own device is insane. They just want you to keep buying multiple devices from them. Don't fix it, just buy it again and again and again.
Apple is the most sinister company. Wish people would abandon them honestly until they change practices
Yes Alex, I do enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Have a happy and peaceful holiday season.
You have amazing talent and knowledge. Glad you are so willing to introduce others to that kind of intricate work. I would have been glad to have been your student, only I grew up an older generation. My hands and eyes aren't good enough for the fine ( micro) work.
Awesome work as Usual! Great Videos too! My Mother has an iPad and if it breaks then you or Rossmann will have to tackle it.
Great result!
Freaking love your videos. Learning a bunch every time.
Good job Alex, Big Boss… Better than factory… great video..
I used PCB Way quite a bit in a prior business. Always very good service, pricing, and delivery times.
I'm really liking the new video editing and transitions. Great work all around.
Biggest issue I have run into with older iPads is that stupid home button , it never goes back properly after display replacement. Apple and their desire to glue random things , only thought about it while you’re talking about how apple likes to glue things .
I can't lie, I just saw the connection type and gave up instantly but you made it look so easy.
Very nice work, sir!
Neat job liked lot Thanks Happy Christmas 🎄 days
Excellent workz....all the best Brother.
Good job mate 👍
The new camera angle is much better, great video btw.
Well done.
Better than factory. Amazing job! 😁👌
another great repair. awesome!
great repair would love to get this good
Nice work, very impressive.
Question of curiosity: how can I make sure I’m not cutting any tracks when removing the glue from the chip?
Thanks for the response in advance!
Hi Ali let's use tricolor liquid to clean that glue(humecine) before desoldering.good luck.
Another fantastic fix x
Bro great I have learned how to remove this kind of flex safely thanks for sharing the knowledgeable video ❤❤❤😊😊😊
great work Alex
"Better Than factory" Outstanding job!!!!!😁👌👍
The table you work on do you want it to absorb heat or reflect heat?
Well done Alex
Wich motherboard is more advanced Iphone 15 or Macbook pro in term of VIA connections, Package on Package systems.
im waiting for part two of past video
My brother has an iPhone and a MacBook Air. Once I asked him, why he bought an Apple. The answer was: "All my colleagues at work, have Apple phones and products." He is a doctor. I am a land surveyor. I use my laptop for work. Cad programs and so on. I bought a Legion 5 gaming laptop, with a 2060 RTX for 950€ almost three years ago. At that time he bought that MacBook for 1400€. And essentially it is an overpriced Gucci purse for reading emails. It has a fraction of the processing power and capabilities of the Lenovo. And from all the videos I seen, Apple is made to break after the warranty expires, and to be as difficult to repair as possible...or impossible. Just come and buy a new designer purse from us. We are not scammers. No way.
Another great video. I appreciate the skilled hands.
I enjoyed watching your work,it’s truly a micro surgery,thanks a lot.
thank you my teacher
Where did you get the big white magnifying lense with the light?
i used to work in a repair shop and i absolutely hated replacing that flex cable......
could you not solder the flex cable on the same way you would a chip? apply solder to the pads, line it up and then use hot air to melt the solder making connection. Wouldn't it provide better contact too given that there is no glue anymore.
Good Working sir
New camera for video recording? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
your skills are amazing, i have seen other shops doing this repair and they needed a micro CNC machine to remove the chip properly by milling it from the PCB with a special milling bit.
Woa, where? I havent seen that done before
Use liquid flux on these connectors. You get glue in same package so this wont be held with solder just.
The pinnacle of skill.
You are a true artist!
Yes... Job well done and amazing job.
i have a tv, the display is not on, the backlight led are on, I open the tv and stare and dead end lol, I dont know what to do, also i cant see tiny parts, cause my eyes are blur.
Dang unsoldering 60+ points at once with an iron? I didn't even think that was possible. I Guess low melt really is magical lol. I Literally kept thinking, "ok when is he going to get the hot air"?
Works great for DIP packages too.
amazing job !
hi, flux which you'r using, what is the brand and model? is it AMTECH NC-559-V2-TF ? thank you.
northridgefix.com/product/amtech-nc-559-v2-tf-flux-10ml-syringe-plunger-2-needle-sizes/
Insane skill set. Wow.
When will we see rufus in the store. I am ready to buy one.
Hi, very interesting. One question:
5:26 (and at 5:50), you are saying that the melting temperature is about 48 C, but the Low Melt Solder Pack of 6 Sticks (your link) has a melting temperature of about 160-200 C.
How does it come?
I don't get it either. 48 degrees can't be true...
@@L33t3n it is true. There are special alloys with that low melting point just for this porpouse.
Heey! It's so relaxing to watch your videos! Greetings from Slovenija! :)
Amazing true skills👍
Yes the song is back!
I don't understand how does the low melt solder mix with the regular solder if the regular solder can't melt at that temperature
lol, you heat at the higher temperature .
To achieve better than factory results, we need a chisel tip for the nf mini. Should offer nf hooch for cleaner than factory results.😂
What cleaner solution do you use to for flux residue, ipa 91% doesn’t work as effectively for me
99%
will glue remover eat the pcb?
ITS THE ZOHAN I KNOW IT! Great job I've been watching about 2 years u are def by far the best THE ZOHAN even
Awesome👏
Genius!
Hard work but do simply awesome
7:05 are that not transparent windows ? we see dots tru them looks more closely,,,
Yes, he literally called them windows.
A job well done as always... Love from Pakistan.
Could use a laser to just "burn off" the components 1 by 1, then reball and solder down directly 🤔
FYI, hand sanitizer works great for turning glue goopy enough to scrape off without damage in most cases.
But hand sanitizers are sticky, and release some fume.
They are basically Alcohol...
In the video he uses heat plus alcohol and some mechanical scraping - very effective.
hand sanitizer is made with: water + alchohol(about 60%), and some kind off gel usually glycerin if i remember correctly. you want to use 99% iso to not leave any residue. but the hand sanitizer would evaporate less fast so if you have to avoid mechanical scraping for some reason it could be effective to have long-lasting alcohol(sanitizer) sit on the glue to react with it longer
Hand santiizer is always ethanol based, isn't it? denatured, of course.
If it is then it will be little different to isopropanol for that purpose.
how many syringes of Amtech 559 do you use in a day (on average)?
Alex you can"t remove the glue with ascetone ?
Cured underfill on iPad 5 is the hardest I came across. Must be carefully cut with a blade and hot air to separate chip from components.
Yes, this is far better than factory!
I live in the UK I wish I lived in the States just so I could send you something to fix 😆
This is why I try to use wireless charging as much as possible.
Behold! A big reason why my money and Apple products are never seen in the same place together. Thanks Alex.
that's incredible!
Ustam Alt yazılara türkçe ekleyebilirmisin? Kanalı yeni keşfettim
And Alex started to use premiere pro 👍👏👏
" And orders almost ship out, same day"
Why not use heat gun to remove?
they glued the chip wtf . anyways you are good as always
Gluing those components together is just a new level of greed and evil. Never will I own an Apple device.
this man is so dangerous , he make it look so easy that feel u can do it , good job Ali
Another pro job.
How does big boss keep up with you? I imagine taking apart a device and putting it back together takes much longer than you repairing it.
Nice Video ! B T F ! BetterThanFactory !👍
That glue looked to be pretty soft. I've run into some really hard glue and wondered if you have advice for that?
Combination of hot air and you will need to cut it off
it is hard like a rock in a normal temp. you need to heat to to 200 C to softer it
WOW! AMAZING! Better than Factory! XD
Artiste
apple lied for PR reasons that they were embracing repair.. it shows in their designs still ongoing.
You are a wizard
Why dont't they just dip the whole board in epoxy? It's over 9000 dust and water resistance.
Apple should paste terracotta around the whole board and bake it fr
good man
Alex, You must be an amazing dad. Lucky children. Go. Be brilliant!
