Great video! Just purchased a 22 F150 XLT, 2.7 4X4 w/302A pkg. Replaced my 17 year old F150. My first Mod was that flex antenna and then front Weathertech mats. I use amazon unlimited music via my phone or SiriusXM, so I'm not concerned with radio reception. Those RC seat covers are next, then going with ceramic tint on the glass and then rhino lining for the bed.
Great video and channel here Greg. I have similar mods on my f150. Oh, I’m a new subscriber to your channel man. Love it. 👊🏼💪🏼👍🏻
That antenna saved me so many time in a low underground garage because if that antenna is just touching the garage ceiling or metal bars up above means your truck will pass through without any problem, if more than the touch, then it will damage your cabin top. I rather keep OEM antenna.
Agreed, same happened with me
Did the antenna and regretted it, went back to original. As soon as I left town it lost most channels. Husky floor liners are pretty awesome for sure, love mine! The clips were a little off but they did fit; make sure it's warm out when putting them in.
Lol. Never saw your video and those were the first few mods I did as well. Same antenna, and consol organizer. Did weather tech floor mats. Will look into some front seat covers.
One you forgot, (which is crazy to even need) is rear wheel well liners.
I gotta get a small antena. I have heated/ventelated seats and no kids so no worries on my seat cover. I may end up changing out mats from the weather tec ones mine came with but mine have good coverage. So far I love the truck.
Brushless car wash only! Can’t believe you take your new truck to an automatic car wash. Wouldn’t have to worry about the antenna.
After market Antenna will break off easier driving in the bush/tight trails difficult to remove the threaded insert that’s where they beak.
I would add: tailgate assist shock and catch can oil separator
Great video. 100% agree with the mods. 1 comment and 1 question. If you live in an area where corrosion can happen. MN NE States etc; put never-seez or some other anti corrosion film on that antenna stud. Ask me how I know. Question. The seat airbag’s still works.? Also will the headrest speakers still perform as intended? Thankx. ❤
Am I the only one who prefers the regular antenna? Think it looks old school and can tell how much wind you’re driving into by how much it’s bending
Need to be able to put a orange ball on top of regular size antenna so can be seen over snowbanks
U can go through the car wash with the stock antenna even if it touches the car wash
I have a similar antena on my 19 platinum and it works great. No "frequency" issues to speak of. I do enjoy the leather heated and cooled seats so no covers but I do keep it cleaned and conditioned. Definitely kid proofing the new truck! I understand
We have leather seats in our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and between the dog and the kids there in pretty bad shape. Really kicked myself for not putting seat covers on earlier than we did.
I also have a 2022 F150. Antennas going to work great in a wide open parking lot however...the Antennas length effects the frequencies and ability to pull in weak stations clearly. Once you leave the lot you will have loss of stations and strength. The dividers fit like a glove IF you order the right one and follow directions. Weathertech is THE way to go. You get what you pay for. If you just spent $65000 to $75000 for a truck and you have to go cheap on mats...you miscalculated something. Seat covers over beautiful leather seats....no.
Honestly haven’t had issues with the antenna locally, that said we will see how it works on our road trip through the Rockies.
You are absolutely correct about the antenna. It will not pick up as much energy as the factory antenna.
My personal opinion the bullet antennas are way more visually appealing but to each is own and if your wondering what’s a good brand i link under the comment my personal favorite that I’ve ran on all my Ford trucks and they work amazingly
I see you have the same front cowl problem ( lifting up) by your antenna and fender that I have had problems with. I have had mine replace 3 times by the dealer. Ford Manufacturing defect.
I don’t get the seat covers , sure it “protects” the original seat but u never see the original seat so what’s the point unless ur trying to keep the truck fresh for the next guy when u sell
MY first mod is always Screen ProTech for the fingerprints
I got tux mats and they cover 95% of the carpet
Wondering about seat covers with air bags in seats. My Santa Fe has air bags in seat so seat covers not recommended. Thinking about getting F 150. Great info.
I knows some of the rough countries and other seat covers come with airbag openings in the seat cover.
I can’t believe it’s not leather is the best seat covers for seats with airbags
My ‘21 XLT owners manual says not to do seat covers when equipped w/heated seats. What’s been your experience regarding that?
@@djh1010 Heated seats work fine
The "mods" seem more like accessories. Watch out for those air bags with the seat covers.
Nice video I just picked u p the same truck do u have the link for the seat covers

What level are you running?
What colour is that F150?
Where did you buy antenna looks cool

Nice truck, is that antenna flexible?
Yes it is, we've taken it through the car wash several times with no issues. Link to it is in the description.
Hello. I like your video, is there any chance to get your business inquiry?
I don't know why all cars don't come with WeatherTech you pay enough for the car or truck
I know it, really frustrating that a 60+ thousand dollar truck and you have to make modifications to make it more user friendly and practical.
I wish the seat covers didn't have the branding on it
Just curious - does the 2022 still have axle rust like the 2021?
Yes
@@tonyskillz No. Picked up my '22 Powerboost Lariat in May and there was zero rust underneath anywhere. Why do you ask?
Your active air dam hasn't screwed up yet?
The F150 is perfect it doesn’t need any mods.
I wouldn’t consider these mods, more like a must
Links to your antenna?

That antenna took like 23 seconds not 5
No seat covers for me. I paid extra for leather. I'm going to sit on leather. No kids here.
I have the Rydeonair
13" with no frequency deficit
Who puts seats covers on new leather 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The weird thing is he has an XLT so the seats are already cloth and better looking than the RC covers I think
@@justicejayson1568 you know what, I didn't know the XLT only comes with cloth ?!? I have a 2021 XLT but it's a Roush with leather Roush seats...
Good video your to old to wear your hat backwards on yourube
That's the first thing I thought when I saw this video also.
Why would anyone buy this truck when the ford lightning in coming out tomorrow lol
Yea sure why not just wait 5 years to get the Lightning....
If you do nothing but cruise around town and commute to work then go ahead and get a lightning. If you want something that is actually practical then get a normal F150. Imagine taking a road trip with kids and being like 'ok lets stop for hours to charge!' 🤣. Or you could stop for 2 minutes and get gas. Do you also realize that the Ford Lightning is geared towards the top 5% of income earners and not average people? If you are not well into the 6 digits for income and you buy a Lightning you are short more than a few IQ points
An electric vehicle wouldn't work for me. I need more range than it can provide, and cold weather lowers range as well. If I tried towing 8k pounds in winter, I'd have a range of about 100 miles. That just won't work.
For the majority of truck owners, the Powerboost makes more sense. The Lightning is a beautiful truck but it's not for everyone......
Husky products super sucks. Every hisky machinery i ever bought broke down....
I’m removing mine, who listens to radio.
I have 2022 F150 Powerboost with only 3900 miles, within one month engine overheated, onboard power not available, jerky or shudder transmission, sitting at dealer for one month, no available parts and Ford customer service is no help, don't buy this!
I have the 22 powerboost with no issues
BULLSHIT Martin........ I don't believe you.
Useless video… these aren’t even mods
