The title says 2021 F150 and in your intro you say a 2020 F150. I am looking for the 2021 mud flaps and wanted to be sure if I used the part numbers given here that they would be the correct ones. Thanks for the video, watching this will sure help me with the installation.
You get caught in the moment and there's not a lot of people that want to put on videos teaching other people how to do things I do that every day multiple times a day so things sometimes get a little exciting
@@FordBossMeI completely understand. It certainly wasn't my intent to find a mistake and point it out. Just wanting to be sure what year truck I was looking at and getting the correct parts. Nothing but appreciation and gratitude for the effort you and others put into what you do here. Thanks for the response!
Without a doubt best video in these hands down. Thank you FYI 2022 trucks ( I got one ) only comes with 1 hole drilled in the rear so you either drill it out or leave it alone
On 22 XLT had to drill through the plastic piece behind the wheel for the second hole, kinda a pain with the wheel on. Also only two push in fasteners on the underside of the rear fender so take out both not the 1st and the 3rd. But this is a great video, much better explanation than the hieroglyphics that come with the flaps. Straight and to the point, made install much easier and quicker.
Great video. I just installed these mud flaps on my 2023 F150 following your instructions to the T and the install went perfect. The instructions in the box were clear as mud, just like most of the instructions Ford sends along with their accessory parts. The only difference I encountered was my truck (2023 Super Crew), only had 2 push pins to remove on the bottom piece of the trim versus 2. I’m thinking that was because of the short bed. Nonetheless it wasn’t a problem. I mounted the metal bracket on the 2nd hole instead of the 3rd and it worked out perfectly. Not sure I like the design though. I can see mud and snow getting jammed in between the top of the mud flap and that bracket but we’ll see.
Thanks for the install video, the printing in the instructions was so bad that I couldn't tell what any of the pictures were of. It was over 100* today with high humidity so I'm glad I didn't have to stare at the parts and figure it out for myself while working outside.
Thanks for the video. I installed Ford flaps on my 2018 and the process was almost identical. The 2018 kit came with only 2 screws each side for the rear instead of 3. I think if I used a 2021 kit it would have been better with the 3 bolts instead of using a plastic push plug in the other hole.
You have the new kit the early kit didn't have that, Things change and directions are changed in ANYTHING to make things better If I tell you something is a certain way that's because it IS
The rear mud flap kit I got from Ford included two clear plastic strips to prevent aluminum / ferrous metal contact on the brace, possibly leading to corrosion.
Great video made install easy and fast. On my 2021 XLT. Well would have been fast if I didn’t have to spend a hour looking for the 2 bolts I dropped in the grass. LOL. I used the Ford points and got front and back mud flaps and rear wheel liners for $85 all genuine Ford parts and doesn’t void corrosion warranty. A couple of tips I used the handle of a screw driver to push the clips on easier on the hands and just seemed easier all the way around. Also push the mud flaps tight against the body of the truck while putting clips on and tightening the bolts to the body.
Marcin97 I bought from the dealer using Ford points I received when I bought the truck. It fords reward program. You get points for things you buy and for service visits. I got 42k points for buying the truck and at my dealer that was worth $210 in discount.
Well done. I'm usually pretty good with this kind of stuff but the instructions that came with the flaps are lousy. The fronts were easy but the back ones? Did Ford conspire with IKEA for the directions and then threw out the plans and let someone that has never been near a truck draw them up??
Nice job. The materials for the rear flaps I purchased from my local Ford dealership included two strips of adhesive tape, and the instructions indicated the tape is placed between the fender and fender molding. Since you didn't mention this, I didn't add it...probably doesn't make a difference.
So the two pieces of stick-on film are to protect the paint that you put the clip on and the zip tie I don't know but what I can tell you is the kit may change little by little as it progresses
Good video. Do these flaps stick out a little further to aid with wider rims? Just put a set of 10" wides on my 2021 and it's clear that I'll need a good set of flaps.
Hi Fos Boss Me, great video! buddy out of topic.. by any chance do you know if the sunroof panels of a 2021 F150 are the same for the 2020. dealer does not help and I have broken the 2 pcs and currently there is a back order, I measured the glasses and the opening of the moonroof and measure the distance of the screws of the glasses and to me they are the same. any thoughts?

a question on a purely none related topic, I'm trying to find out if - when I order and receive my 2021 Lariat supercab, will the graphic in the dash be a supercab or a crew cab? If you had any knowledge of this, I would appreciate it.

I found it easier to completely remove the black plastic skirting to line up the holes on the skirt and mud flap to drill the hole.
