Walking in Ampney Crucis

A small village in Gloucestershire dating back at least a thousand years, athough it wasn't called Ampney Crucis then, there's something uniquely restful about this gentle Cotswold village. The kind of place where you cross the road and find sheep grazing the land. About three miles east of Cirencester, it has a pleasant pub overlooking Ampney Brook.
This extra slow meandering, however, doesn't go that way. I went to the church that is about a million years old and then through a narrow path taking me to the main street through the village.

It was a beautiful day for a walk. The sky was amazing. I really liked the opening images of the WWIi memorial. The gardens were brilliant. The town looks wonderful. I love your description that you can walk across the road and see a field of sheep. The pathways are always wonderful and the incredible architecture. Thank you for this wonderful tour. Thank you. It is always great to read a message from Indonesia. I always feel that landscapes develop a strange and unreal texture when they differ greatly from those of our own country. I only know Indonesia from videos and it always looks amazing... Something we only really experience in magical films. I wonder if England takes on that same aspect there.
