      Really. We should stop idolizing people. Other than the assassination of JFK, which was truly devestating, she was no saint. She did what many women of her kind of background did; she married Onassis for money and stability. She had affairs with married men ; RFK, Jr and Maurice Tempelsman (that affair began 4 years before he and his wife separated and he was still married while they were living together). I admire the fact that she held a job, which she obviously did not need to do financially. She raised 2 well adjusted children...not easy to do. But people should stop putting her up on a pedestal.

    I was around then and I don't recall Jackie ever "mourning the loss of Aristotle!" She married him for money and protection and he married her for the "trophy wife" status and prestige - period! From what I recall, she did everything possible to avoid him - he'd fly to NYC to see her and when she found out he was on his way she'd fly to Europe. Then he'd fly to Europe to catch up with her only to have her leave before he arrived - this was not a "love story" by any stretch, more like a "business arrangement!" We have a way of sugar coating a lot of our history.

      This is exactly what I told my friends: She was a really despicable woman! She came to this planet only to Dress up, show up and manipulate Man to have a rich lifestyle without doing nothing. Maria Callas said in a interview that Jackie Kennedy was very bad luck person and brought misfortunes in every person she has close contact! She's stole Onassis from Maria Callas...The love of her life!😢😢😢

    Onassis was a marriage of convenience & Aristotle who was able to afford & promised Jackie to keep her life & children’s lives to remain private from all the public eyes & gossip. That is what Jackie wanted & Jackie got for the rest of her entire life, thanks to Aristotle & let’s face it he had more money than the former President.❤

    You, I’m certain, have access to more intimate knowledge of the life of Jackie K Onassis , but I think my memory of her attitude toward her second husband was reported as being more mercenary and calculating then loving. She was busy elsewhere when Onassis died , she didn’t spend anytime mourning but she did secure substantial monetary security to live life in the manner she felt best suited her needs and satisfied her desires. I’m curious about the time she needed to fulfill her philanthropic obligations, as mentioned. How and what did she do in that regard? The Grey Garden’s saga made me wonder about her empathy toward others, even her own relatives.

    • @bar10ml44
      @bar10ml44 Місяць тому

      I believe that's quite untrue. There was no hidden agenda between Aristotle or Jackie. He wanted her style and contacts she wanted security for her children. The shock of that JFK's death would have haunted her 24/7. Thousands of women have married for money and security and made no secret of it.

    Ive read numerous books about her from growing until her death. She was a wonderful mother fearing the lives of her children more so, after the death of Robert Kennedy.. I met a lady in up state New York who worked for her. This lady spoke of her as being generous and kind. We all survive our circumstances im the best way we know how. I just know there's no way I would have been able to be in that car the day she lost her husband. The trauma of that day will never be forgotten! She handled these set of circumstances with such graciousness. She made mistakes like we all do .She was the only queen we've ever had leaving a legacy that we never be appreciated by everyone.

    Hee hee hee… Jackie was no simple woman, nor was she a romantic. She was a shrewd investor, a spirited individual and no man’s fool. She learned from her mother to not marry for love, but marry for money. Both of her husbands were despicable lotharios who paid her handsomely for the veil of respectability she brought, and for her eternal silence.
    Sadly, like so many women of her ilk and era she chose to replace food with cigarettes to retain her sylphlike figure.

    • @laurablack7183
      @laurablack7183 Місяць тому

      She was Jack Kennedy’a fool. He slept with every woman he could lure into his bed, which were many and often. I think the humiliation she endured caused her to create the fantasy of a ‘Camelot’ that never existed. The Kennedy’s were not a family whose history inspires in terms of morals or integrity. She was not above staying with a man who had little regard for loyalty or commitment to his marital vows, so she was, in a manner of speaking , a man’s fool.

    Isle of Scorpio: Onassis stipulated in his testament that the island should never been sold. In case that one of his heirs would not be able to afford the maintenance of the island, it should go either to the state of Greece or to Olympic Airways. Therefor, the contract with the russian (in fact, his wife), is a rental, not a sale. As the greek legislation allows land rental of up to a maximum of 99 years, the price of the rental was fixed to 1 mio USD per year plus interest. Meanwhile, the island is subject to tremendous works and destructions by the russian, although works stopped since a while, leaving craters and destroyed landscapes. Furthermore, Scorpio is now a hotspot for boat tourists.

I don't want a special video about a particular historical celebrity, but it would be very interesting to reveal the connections and network of many of the people you show in more detail. It becomes clear again and again that the Onassis, Kennedy, Radziwill, Agnelli, Grimaldi, Bourbon, Churchill families and many Hollywood legends, film producers and presidents are/were closely connected through family ties or close friendships. More about this would be super interesting.

    "The Red Gate Farm" was my favorite. I would say it is alot of upkeep though but who would care with all tht moneyand other peole to do all of yoru work? You can find other artistic adventures to dabble into. Love life to say well for so many years and not be too sick to enjoy it all! She really did get way too think in later years and I never noticed that before.
    Seems tlike the more you have the more you want, and never are you content. That is quite sad though, as you just cannot figure out what it is you really want. The apartments were fine and easily maintained, but probbly not as private? But some people like attention and being looked at, as they have so much to show to others.
    . Lucky people who launch onto something early in life, and it just happens to click, and there they are, rich as anyone could dream. This is very interesting, and I love watching to see just how the other half lives, and think what I would truly have wanted, if them.

Jackie's marriage to O was a legal document which specified how many times a week he was allowed to have sex with her! And who "owns" all that junk now? Being so "rich" makes those people miserable, and/or sick. The more simple, unselfish, and uncomplicated your life is, the more you care about other people.

      If it wasn’t for Christina?! You must be kidding. Christina hated Jackie and would have loved to disinherit her, but she negotiated with Ted Kennedy over the will which did not give Jackie enough, and Jackie got 26 million. Onassis was going to divorce her, but he died before doing so.
