Gen 7-8 Toxapex is as close to the perfect OU pokemon as you can get.
Lando-t?
Gen 7 have z moves and megas to take on knock off and mag was around that why pex was better on gen8
4:31 That is Mega Charizard Y
Mr Fish and nuclear goldfish were oblivious to its defenses, and gave 0 fuc**
This is like Bill Russell highly defensive but also an offensive backbone.
This music bangs bro
This video is fantastic man, great style an all that
I remember facing that thing in battle spot and dude jus didn’t wanna die
Toxic
Baneful Bunker
T Spikes
Knock Off
Scald
Haze
Recover
The only thing that held this Mon back was that sometimes it would be forced to switch due to it's low HP and that could be exploited. One of the most annoying mons possible... Unless you're in pokebilities and get all three abilities, so you set up T Spikes and spam Venoshock
Man, I don't care what other people think, Pex is my favorite mon from Gen 7, and it's not even close. Sure it's annoying as all hell to fight, but also has a great design, fantastic typing and a really fun Ability in Merciless. 9/10 I love this thing
This mon is my sole reason of favouring dracovish as one of my top mons
and then Game Freak decided "Fuck this Pokémon in particular" in Gen. 9 and took both Knock Off and Scald from it and also nerfed all the recovery moves.
Toxapex not even hated anymore no scald & nerfed recovery
I just caught one in a 6 star tera raid. It was a ground type 😈
yeah Haze is a BITCH to deal with
I'm SO GLAD that mon got nerfed into the ground.
It's still a threat tho, that Haze and Toxic that can never miss are still really good. So long as you have hazards and play around the 8pp Recover, it's MUCH more manageable.
Toxapex, Gyarados, Swampert, Peliper, Azumaril, and Basculegion.... mean team for a gym leader
I used to get weird looks everytime I say Toxapex is my favorite mon. Sure, it's incredibly annoying in gen 7 and 8, some may even call it *toxic.* _heh_
But he's just a chaotic, introverted little guy hiding in his wittle dome. I wanna go in there and pinch in his wittle cheek.
He kinds of reminds me of myself and is probably the pokemon that resonates best with my personality.
Great video, good format and educational, enjoy it
I love her, she's my child. Learn to disrupt my stall, scrub.
I used stockpile, toxic, infestation, recover
Whats the outro song?
Honestly, Toxapex was to OU what Yuumi is to LoL. Is not impossible to defeat, but it demands such unfun playpatterns and specific answers that it should have been banned just to make the game enjoyable, but Smogon are not developers and IT SHOWS. At least GF is not the stubborn of riot who will refuse to make her able to take damage like regular champions, and decided to make it very passive so it now has actual counterplay.
What’s the outro music?
I love toxapex, the design and lore is cool, would probably be on my ideal ingame team
Does haze clear poisons, burns, etc?
No
i cant wait for sun and moon remakes
Pex is like half the reason I quit competitive. Not to say it's objectively broken or not but I have never seen another mon that made the meta less fun
Imagine quitting comp over 1 mon lmao😊
@@oofjeff3735 says the dude who probably used toxapex, you have no idea how rage inducing it is idiot.
As you can see, The Agency is up 5-1.
I dont care if hes bulky
Let him merciless venoshock
This video is way too late fam. With no scald and 8 recovers, it's not even remotely crazy.
It's fine now but not "hated".
It was a vid about gen 7 and 8 tho lol
@@pokeaimMD Shouldn't the title be "hated" then? I don't know how popular older gens are on showdown, but I thought most people played current gen.
Gen 7 and 8 are still incredibly popular in tours and PS. Same with Nat dex and pex is still a rank atm. I think the title still fits fam
Omg that's such a useful video
😮😮😮😮
Thank you aim
my favorite 3 pokemon are breloom, sableye and toxapex 😅
RIP Scald
Toxapex is so fun to play with, it's one of my favorites
Regen, toxic, baneful bunker, Haze, infestation= 🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂
Why do i always love the hated pokemon. Toxapex, gliscor
Tox is one of my favorites.
title is wrong, smogon absolutely loves this ugly shitmon, thats why they ban all its counters, even now that pex is nerfed
Hol up they banned every electric, psychic, ground type, and wallbreaker????? Damn smogon really did it this time.
The big stall ninjas are inside your house
@@alexisreal Every special wallbreaker. Physical ones just get burned. Truly a design of all time.
I would have taken a nerf of regenerator to 25%
As a longtime mono poison main, I love pex :)
Gonna be honest toxipex is one of my favorite pokemon and just wanted to see if others felt the same way didnt know others so strongly hated it
I love Toxapex's design tbh
toxapex is literally my favorite pokemon its so adorable
I remember when Freezai uploaded a video explaining the downfall of Toxapex at the start of Gen9 and I was just laughing waiting how long he would notice he was so wrong for that vid. Toxapex is and ALLWAYS will be a major threat/staple OU pokemon.
Its not a major threat or staple in gen 9 ou, yeah its good in ou but its not used all that much in ou
well unpopular opinion here, but this video sums up a lot of reasons why i love toxipex
