All of his opponents are obviously like 13 years old and have awful sets, which when paired with insane decisions (Tera ghost on the Calyrex????) gives an easy sweep

Unironically, i remember watching these videos 10 years ago in 8th grade. It's your videos that got me into competitive mons. Been on Pokemon Showdown since its inception

I used Arbok constantly in R/B playtroughs and it never disappointed me. I also used one in UM, it ended up being one of the most reliable party members in the playthrough.
Amazing to see Arbok taking down two of the scariest legendaries. Thank you for the great content! I've been learning a lot from your videos. It was great learning about the custap berry and put it to good use in the Trick Magic online competition on my Annihilape. It granted me several unexpected victories with rage fist.
I've always had a soft spot for Arbok, probably because it was my first trading card (With the Pokemon description and episode debut, not the TCG), so seeing it nice and buffed all these years later makes me happy.
Damn that Arbok brought a tear to my eye.. I’ve never rooted for a sweep so hard in my life. Neglected gen 1 snek rise up.

I remember having PU fun with a Glare/Gunk Shot/Earthquake/Sucker Punch Arbok back in the ORAS days, so I'm really excited to try out the new buffs Cubellios got this gen. Fun set!

This Arbok is exactly how I use to use my Zygarde snake like form back on USUM and SWSH days
Arbok taking down two of the most broken mons from last gen is not what I had on my bingo card.
In fairness tho he did get to set up vs the kleavor. But it was cool none the less.
Also the people he fights have 0 idea what is happening.

I love your battles so much, it's so refreshing to see some more obscure Pokémon used. It'd be great to see some more VGC format battles, but I know it's hard to get wins and stay original when everyone's spamming legendaries and paradoxes!

If you're a nuzlocker, Arbok is a sleeper hit in FRLG. Intimidate, Glare, Toxic, etc. Banger Mon.
The sneks are also frustrating to fight coz they always manage to get Shed Skin to work. Meanwhile when our sneks have it, it does nothing.
Even more so in gen 1. Gets swords dance too
I feel like having intimidate, decent bulk (including intimidate) and leech life could be SOMETHING in PU

Arbok definitely calling the shots in the match. Last time was Gunk Shot, now is Scale Shot.
Glare is a really good move for Arbok as well.
Come on let’s face it, no one deserves this boost more than arbok. One of the coolest pokemon designs deserves a much needed buff.

I’m actually so happy about this! I was always a fan of the mon’s design since I was young and tried everything I could for my friends with firered to trade all the ekans to my leafgreen game! Glad she’s finally buffed now

@@Roaming22222 No, Mythicals are the title for the ultra-rare pokemon that are only able to be gotten through an event/gift of some kind, with an exception of Deoxys in ORAS. They also are not needed to "complete" a pokedex in game.

Arbok is probably one of my favorite gen one pokemon. It’s just so middling and awkward. Basically just a fodder pokemon that the ai uses so the player has a exp punching bag. The venomous cobra pokemon doesn’t even learn poison fang without breeding. I’m glad to see it get a W despite all it’s flaws.

I used to rock a careful intimidate arbok with black sludge using Coil, Gunk Shot, EQ, Sucker Punch with max HP and max SpDef in Sun and Moon. He wasn’t INSANE but definitely put in some work

Your content brings me back to the ORAS days, man. My favorite thing was building odd teams to whoop up on ubers spammers. By far my favorite was an all Gen one doubles team during the Primal days.
Long story short - nobody expected Choice scarf Cloud Nine Golduck paired with a Lightningrod physical Raichu. Golduck could OHKO Groudon or Mega Ray Charles, and Raichu mopped up Kyogres left and right. 😂

Hypnosis is a lot like yawn, in that it takes 2 turns to put your opponent to sleep
I want Smeargle to make a comeback in the modern games to see it doing what the Kleavor was doing at the start, it just gives that signature move to one more mon and spreads out the team diversity imo.
You can do it with any mon with mimic.
