You are a world away from me I was fasenated by your story of endless toil to restore as much as possible of a 100 year old building constructed in the most primative way by poor people wanting to try and make a better life. As far as I am concerned you deserve high prase for the job you and your family did.

I started out watching this video thinking I will probably skip through it because it is too long. Guess what, I ended up watching all of 1hour, 5 minutes, and 3 seconds of it. Congratulations on achieving your goal. Very beautiful house.
You are an army of one bro, every video is amazing in that 99% of it you have completed solo. Man what an accomplishment. It’s taken huge amounts of effort and resourcefulness. Well done, I’m just so impressed by what can be reused and how well it turns out. Got a great supermom. That poor Soviet chair 😂😂
The photo stills are a great presentation. It should be done publicly as art and history show! Link it in your channel ,more stuff. Gray zone is great name, we call them mud room or entry way. The old board floor is beautiful and unique. I understand your wanting to use laminate/composite flooring. You have a right to be proud! There are wood structures that are over 800years old. The construction is different. Usually massive timber framing. There are examples of log houses in the USA that are 400yrs old and restored well.
Andries, I have come into your channel arse about face, I thought it was all about a weird guy in Estonia who bought and repaired machinery but as I enjoy your content I am venturing back into your early stuff and although I think you are still a weird guy, your very likeable, very funny and more, very versatile, you’ll have a crack at any thing and you do a great job. Dr. Mr Pants, just got done watching the history of the farmhouse and I wanted to thank and congratulate you on the video. The enormous amount of time and effort and information is absolutely mind blowing 🤯. You are the Estonian equivalent to Andrew Camarata my friend. You deserve 100 times the subscribers that you currently have, but you will always have mine and I'm sure many others because of your personality and humor while tackling one major project and problem after another. Blessings to you and your family and keep the content coming, thanks. John from the State of Virginia, USA. Love the Soviet beast ( tractor) PS have you ever thought about getting or looked into getting the tracks that are made for the bobcat, that fit over the tires? That thing would then handle better and probably be unstoppable in getting tasks done.?
I've been watching all your videos and I gotta tell ya, you've worked a miracle on this giant domicile and it's really interesting to see some of your techniques, just amazing. You made a joke on one video about the only heat you had inside was a chainsaw and I'm still cracking up every time I think about it. Great job. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞

AP...the incredible amount of hard work and dedication can only be matched by your creative solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems. Well done! You've created a beautiful home for yourself and for your family.
Thank you, i love problem-solving, even if my solutions r not the best, but i do like it. Glad i got it this far by now. Got tons of little ones running around in the family now and it's great that they visit the old farmhouse more and more although they don't live there.
This really is an enormous amount of hard work. I remember doing things like this when I was much younger. I no longer have the ambition to take on big projects but your hard work inspires me to finish some of my little projects. Keep it up for as long as you can! I am not surprised that you have a regular job in addition to this. I don't know if you have revealed what it is that you do in another video but I hope that your employer's appreciate the hard worker they have
Glad i have inspired you to finish off some of your project :) Yes i have a day-job as well, work at a local plywood/veneer factory as a shift supervisor/foreman, its a relaxing job, until something breaks 😂. I never said anything to my co-workers about my YT channel, but they have found out about me some way or another by now.
What a beautiful home. You can see all the love and pride put into every corner of that home. Excellent! You should be very proud. And thank you for the history of this amazing home and renovation. Take care from Canada eh!
You did an amazing job! All that hard work, blood sweat and tears put into it surely payed off - it’s impressive! . I loved hearing about the history and seeing the before and after photos. How awesome it is that you were able to renovate this home that holds so many memories for you and your family. Thank you for sharing! God bless 💕 Ps., I absolutely love the wood on that staircase!
Ants, what a project you have inherited from your grandparents….. I’ve watched several of you episodes so far…. Now I know where coming from….. the farm house is very important restoration for you and your family….. more please…. Loving this…… and yes your building experience does show….. 👍👍👍😁
Wonderful video! You answered so many questions I've had about your beautiful home. Was sad to hear your father passed away. While he was here, he must have been so proud of you. I had a few tears when you spoke of visiting as a child and how you got so excited before each visit. Was great to see your mother, she's very pretty. I love how you saved so many original features, especially that fire wall. It's stunning. Very impressed how you saved all the exterior walls and managed to get the roof so even. The amount of concrete you mixed...OMG! I'm not surprised the video took you 2 months. Good that you saved so many "before" images, and your effort to put everything together was a monumental construction job in itself! Your narration, as always, was perfect. I really, really enjoyed this video. You are an exceptional craftsman, and a very special man. I wish I could meet you some day over a cup of Estonian tea...or whatever you drink there. Thank you for all your hard work and sharing your dream.
Hat off! It's really hard doing all these project by yourself, I can tell out of own experience. Sometimes one wonders how to keep motivated, yet the next day or so, just starting again. There is so much satisfaction in enjoying own work :) Enjoying your vids and respect bro :) Greetings from the Netherlands.
Wow! What a BIG job! You have a tremendous work ethic!! I replaced the entire outer wall of my first house, using hydraulic jacks to support about 4 feet at a time - but my house was small and already on a concrete slab - and I did not have to work on the roof. I didn't think I would ever get done with it! Yours was well over 10 times the work, maybe 20 times! You are the man! Where I live, we have wood-eating insects called "termites", and they had eaten part of the wall - this is what got me started. And we have rats with fluffy tails that climb the trees (squirrels) and the rats had ruined the siding by chewing on it.
Ahh man the amount of work does not matter 😅 any work on old buildings any work that benefits it is good 😅. We don't have thermites here. Climate would kill them yearly
Ants, I’m amazed how you have evolved the house… it looks and feel like a family home you’d want to live in and raise your family…. Wow…. I’m going to continue to follow your journey 🎉💥⚒️🔨🍺👍👍👍🍺😁😁🎉
It is amazing that you still have working shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and a good back after all that, holy shit!!!! I do love your stairs too, they’re beautiful. The second story is nothing short of amazing work. The roof, yes, that gigantic wonder of the world....what a feat you conquered that, you really did, huge amount of total respect for you, that’s unbelievable!!!!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful construction and demo history of your home!
Thanks Nena, yeah health has been pretty good apart from some gerd problems, but thanks to a gerd surgery that has been sorted out now nicely :) Glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent video as usual. So sorry to hear you lost your dad. I lost mine in 1994 to cancer. He wasn’t always the best dad but I loved him and still miss him.
What a great video.May your past relatives rest with great pride,at what has been accomplished. And all your family treasure what you have. Thanks for sharing with us!
This is amazing, youve done one heck of a lot of work and it looks great. Youve got to be one of the most talented hardest working people ive ever seen.
Chapeau - as they say here in France - I take my hat off to you. We have been working on our 400 year old granite house here over the last 20 years, which has included re-slating the roof, so I have some idea of the work, effort, blood, sweat and tears you have put into renovating your grand-parents house. They would be so proud to see what you have done. Your channel deserves 100's of 1000's more subscribers. Red Poppy Ranch has 350K plus - and you are far more interesting, entertaining, informative and funny. By the way - did you forget to mention your wife when listing all your helpers? Serious error!
wow 400 years 👍👍👍 One question, is the house fully made out of granite? walls as well? We have a bunch of boulder houses in here Estonia, but iv always wondered how they are in cold weathers? No i did not forgot to mention my wife, because i don't have a wife 😉
@@Ants_Pants Glad you didn't leave anyone off your list! Yes, the house is 2 stories and all four walls are granite - about 75cm thick - outer and inner skin of granite blocks with a rubble infill, all under a slate roof (which would have been thatch in the 17th century). It's in a part of Normandy famous for it's granite - the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is made, in part, from 'bleu de Vire'. Our nearest big town is Vire and - yes - the local granite has a blue tinge. Other colours available on request (eg grey and pink). The walls are well insulated now, but they offer a substantial thermal mass. A little bit of heat goes a long way - as long as you don't leave it unheated for a long time. Then it takes an age to warm up! Mind you, it's not as cold here as Estonia - we rarely, if ever, drop below -10°C The building is an old water mill and the walls that once supported the wheels are thicker still - over 1m - through which passed the axles of the water wheels. People built with what materials were to hand and back in the day the place was stiff with quarries. Our commune (township/parish/administrative area) is down to some 350 people. At the beginning of the 20th century they prepared a lunchtime meal for 1200 quarry workers. All bar a handful of the active quarries are long gone. I actively look forward to your videos and wish you great success - you deserve it.
Awesome change! Your farmhouse is beautiful now and it shows that you spent a lot of time working there! Congratulations!! I loved seeing the whole process. Thanks for sharing this beautiful video👍.
Your "absolute nightmare" was my great and interesting entertainment. Thank you for sharing. You can be very proud of your achievements and sacrifices for your family.
Wonderful improvements. That all was a lot of work. Thank goodness that your family helped you. Even if someone just cooked meals or brought out drinks. You are very talented and resourceful. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing.
This is the best video you have done! The pictures, storytelling, quality, tempo, jokes (cusiness😂) are all on great! It really gives an explanation to why you have the mill, the tractor and the excavator. And it explains your skill in renovating the other log house, all the mistakes were already made in the main house!😉 Truly inspiring and reminds me a great deal about my favorite videos from Andrew Camarata.
Ant this was a crazy amount of work for yourself. Hats off to you with such a beautiful home for you and your family. Thank you for the tour of your homestead, very impressive looking building and land
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to create a video from photos, to show the journey of all your work to transform the farmhouse. Its really impressive to see all you have achieved, largely by yourself, with a limited budget and limited equipment. It looks great, and its good that your are preserving all the old buildings on the farm, rather than pulling or letting them fall down, and putting up modern characterless versions. Love your videos and your humour, keep them coming!
You should be extremely proud of your accomplishments. This is a huge project and most people would have walked away or if they had the money hired contractors. Should you ever need employment I'm sure there are many who be glad to hire you as a project manager. You are very skilled, ambitious, and your work ethic has no limits.
I’ve been watching your channel for a while now because of your sense of humor and work ethic, I had no idea you were so dedicated to your family and carrying on the traditions of your grandparents. Very proud of you and looking forward to future videos.
What you have done is a credit to you and your skills. Always remember there's never a problem you can't solve, you simply have to find the solution. Look forward to your future videos. Your dialogue makes me laugh and my day, keep it up.

*- You did that, Andris.*
*- Wow! Prodigious work capacity and tenacity of spirit are you.*
You did an amazing job. Should really be proud. It's a really nice property
thanks
Thanks
You did an amazing job! All that hard work, blood sweat and tears put into it surely payed off - it’s impressive! . I loved hearing about the history and seeing the before and after photos. How awesome it is that you were able to renovate this home that holds so many memories for you and your family. Thank you for sharing! God bless 💕
Ps., I absolutely love the wood on that staircase!
Thanks for watching, me too i like it very much, it's a bit steep but hey i love it too much to change it out :)
Wow, what a massive project and a huge improvement to the house as well! Well done! 🙂
Thanks
Ants, what a project you have inherited from your grandparents….. I’ve watched several of you episodes so far…. Now I know where coming from….. the farm house is very important restoration for you and your family….. more please…. Loving this…… and yes your building experience does show….. 👍👍👍😁
Yes thank you sir
Thanks David. tea, beer, cup of coffee , water, whatever that goes down and doesn't kill me if fine by me 🤣
Thank you very much!
Wenn ich sehe was du alles kannst+ gemacht hast komme ich mir erbärmlich vor. Tolle Arbeit
Thanks friend ❤ dont feel thay way
Is this anything you cant do ? ? A am amazed . You are not afraid for anything and the result is 100 % ! Keep up the good work Mr Ant !
Well i am afraid of one thing :D and that's releasing new videos, get like a little panic everything i release one, but other then that all is good 👍🤣
Climate would kill them yearly
enorme le travail effectue chapeau
Ants, I’m amazed how you have evolved the house… it looks and feel like a family home you’d want to live in and raise your family…. Wow…. I’m going to continue to follow your journey 🎉💥⚒️🔨🍺👍👍👍🍺😁😁🎉
I try my best 😅
Hästi tehtud. Suur tänu video eest!
tänud
He wasn’t always the best dad but I loved him and still miss him.
sorry to hear that :/
What a great video.May your past relatives rest with great pride,at what has been accomplished. And all your family treasure what you have. Thanks for sharing with us!

You are a man who sees solutions, not problems. Your never give up attitude is extraordinary. What a legacy you are leaving for the future.
😉👌
This is amazing, youve done one heck of a lot of work and it looks great. Youve got to be one of the most talented hardest working people ive ever seen.
Wow, thank you!
Holy cow that's alot of work great job
Holy cow did not help me! on this project
What a cool history of your major renovation/rebuild
Thank you very much!
You have a beautiful house and to think your grandparents owned it before, you can be proud!
Thanks
Mind you, it's not as cold here as Estonia - we rarely, if ever, drop below -10°C
The building is an old water mill and the walls that once supported the wheels are thicker still - over 1m - through which passed the axles of the water wheels.
@@IanHaywardCalvados thanks Ian for the reply, that was very informative, thanks for letting me know. 👍
Your Grandfather would be very proud of the work that you did to his/your house! Great job Bro..
I appreciate that!

Great Job Ants. (Steff Madin Derbyshire UK)
Wow. Can't imagine how much work that was! I admire your skill, power, and endurance! Looks beautiful now!
Thank you so much!
You really are very talented
Thank you sir
It is inspiring to see how much work you put into renovating the house. This is a new threshold for tenacity in one-man construction.
Lol 😂 thanks a bunch 👍
Absolutely marvelous job on everything! Unbelievable that you did 90-95% of the work! Wow! Rhonda & Len😮
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome change! Your farmhouse is beautiful now and it shows that you spent a lot of time working there! Congratulations!! I loved seeing the whole process. Thanks for sharing this beautiful video👍.
No problem! Thanks for watching buddy
The work that has gone into making this video is amazing...
this was a long one yeah
I am impressed what you make, you are stiil young and powerfull. Everything you make looks great, your stile, andi lime it a lot.
Wow, thank you!
Very impressive that you achieved over 10 years and also your home and your humor. Keep up to good work
It was a wild ride. Now im looking how to improve
Your "absolute nightmare" was my great and interesting entertainment. Thank you for sharing. You can be very proud of your achievements and sacrifices for your family.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful improvements. That all was a lot of work. Thank goodness that your family helped you. Even if someone just cooked meals or brought out drinks. You are very talented and resourceful. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching. Yes the family has been very supportive in labor, hard labor, financially and of course cooking dinners :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing. The whole thing looked so great in the other videos I thought some rich baron had it constructed.
Haha 😅 poor bum of a farmhouse owner here 😇
Ant this was a crazy amount of work for yourself. Hats off to you with such a beautiful home for you and your family. Thank you for the tour of your homestead, very impressive looking building and land
Thanks Kevin
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to create a video from photos, to show the journey of all your work to transform the farmhouse. Its really impressive to see all you have achieved, largely by yourself, with a limited budget and limited equipment. It looks great, and its good that your are preserving all the old buildings on the farm, rather than pulling or letting them fall down, and putting up modern characterless versions.
Love your videos and your humour, keep them coming!
Thanks Tony! I agree
You are an amazing hard working man with a passion for what you do and endless energy 🔋. 👍👍👍👍👍
I appreciate that!
You should be extremely proud of your accomplishments. This is a huge project and most people would have walked away or if they had the money hired contractors. Should you ever need employment I'm sure there are many who be glad to hire you as a project manager. You are very skilled, ambitious, and your work ethic has no limits.
my hands are tied with youtube :D Thank you very much Dennis
I’ve been watching your channel for a while now because of your sense of humor and work ethic, I had no idea you were so dedicated to your family and carrying on the traditions of your grandparents. Very proud of you and looking forward to future videos.
Thanks Bob, i appreciate it
Absolutely an amazing video and your hard work!!! Wow dam perfection!
Thank you very much!
When you don’t have much money, it makes you smarter
Hehe yes i agree. You try to think outside the box
What you have done is a credit to you and your skills. Always remember there's never a problem you can't solve, you simply have to find the solution. Look forward to your future videos. Your dialogue makes me laugh and my day, keep it up.
glad to hear that, thanks for watching :)
Brother you do amazing work
