I have the dewalt 18v DCD796. I need to drillinto the ceiling of our apartment but I hit concrete immediately. I am using speed 1. How come you drill in so easily? What am doing wrong. The concrete is bloody hard.

And you know for sure that it’s concrete and not hitting any metal? Are you using a concrete bit and on hammer setting? If yes you will need to push harder of move the bit slightly over just in case you are hitting rebar or something in the slab above

​@@MODERNMILTyou can drill concrete without a hammerdrill with a lot of pressure, it's just much easier with a hammerdrill
