Some of the music I posted is not from the official soundtrack, but copied from The Witcher game itself. To find the music look in the music folder of your installation of the Witcher and make copies of the music in a different location. You will also need a sound file converter that can convert the files to mp3s or a media player that plays .ogg files.

Yes, I played first Witcher in 2020 year - lockdown. I had great adventure and fun!
Everyone has a desire of true home. When I play Witcher 1 wherever I am I feel like I'm at my home.

WItcher 3 was incredible BUT the atmosphere in the first game is still unbeaten! ALso the Music! The WItcher 1 has one of the best soundtracks ever! Just listen to tris tune here... I loved the 1st and the 4th chapter so much!

+SamVision Depends on who likes what. Personally I preferred W1's stylish combat than W2's and W3's WSAD mashing and LMB-RMB clicking like a freaking maniac.

It only looked stylish, it wasn't fun as all. With W2 and W3 you have control over the combat, in W1 you didn't, it was a series of glorified quicktime events.
The outskirts of Vizima were SO atmospheric! The whole game was amazing. I still love it just as much as i did when i first played it. This is ART.
Zadawn Yes the music in this game is great! The outskirts of Vizima are great! Especially the night... it was the first RPG where I got scared of the night because of that fucking creepy music!
You'd think there was going to be a wedding in this village... instead the song tells only about curse and death both following, and destroying a chance of true love.
The best RPG music to date.
If there’s one thing CD Projekt RED knows how to do very well in their games, it’s the immersion. This track combined with both the Outskirts and Murky Water villages just makes you want to stop, take a deep breath and imagine you were walking on the grassy fields, seeing the villages go on about their daily lifes, and much more.
This music is exactly the thing that made the atmosphere of the game.
I don't know, but i liked Witcher much more then the sequel, it's more atmospheric and it's got that countryside european fell in it.
Or maybe it reminds me more of the books. I really don't know.

THey totally need to do an anniversary edition for Witcher 1, considerig how much work they put into W3 and it's DLC's that wouldn't be a big job for CDprojektRED

No, athmosphere partially comes from that clunky graininess of the first game.
@@tamerofhorses2200 exactly, remaking Witcher 1 with Witcher 3 engine would just ruin the game. Besides, the graphics in TW3 are waaay to colourful and saturated. The colour palette of TW1 was colder and darker and that's how it should stay. If they were to make a remake, they should do it on a new engine (REDEngine 4?) and preserve the original darkness of the atmosphere.

Wow! I've only played this game just recently, after playing both 3 and 2 and I honestly think that this game gave me the best experience, it wasn't perfect, but I loved every second of this game!

Somehow it reminds me to the music that sounds at White Orchard, but less depressing.
It's the other way around. The music in white orchard was inspired by music from TW1.
When I first started in White Orchard I thought they re-used the music from the first game, but I think it's just inspired by it.
i don't know why but this part of the game is clearly my favorite, it's the sadest but also the only one making feel like i finaly find a place to rest

The most one I remember is W1 of course because of the atmosphere I remember every part of the map well I recall it very well I am in no need for mini-map
@Sandokan4 It's probably because it was the first Witcher game you played, and it was all new to you, which means it left a greater impression :) That's what I think anyway! You're totally right on the music making the atmosphere of the game- without such fantastic sound it wouldn't have been nearly as good. I love The Witcher 2 more though, but the first game will always have a special place! Like you said, really captured european countryside feeling well :)

O chapter 4 é meio desconexo com a história principal, mas gosto muito dessa parte do game. Ah, essa musiquinha....
Co jak co ale Wiedźmak zarówno ten filmowy jak i ten z gry ZAWSZE doprawiony był genialną muzyką. Ona brzmi jakby była zaklęta w stronach książek Sapkowskiego. Cudo.

Why couldn't we get atmospheric music like this in Witcher 3 ? Witcher 1 is vastly superior to w3 in terms of music, atmosphere and immersion.

I like the music better in 3. But the atmosphere was waaay better in 1. It's a lot more depressing and gothic, and dark.

@Sandokan4 The soundtrack on the sequel is fantastic, but it doesn't quite hit the heights of the best tracks on the first game.
i believe they kinda rushed on witcher 2 - target was MORE money (and i said MORE)
u can't create a masterpiece if u don't take care of the story and all details.

Witcher 2 was sort of experimental game that was a big step from the first game. It is flawed but still great.
And what they did in chapter two takes balls. One decision will completely change it for you. They basically had to do a lot of work you won't see in one playthrough.
This isn't the actual Murky Waters music. This is the Vizima Outskirts music. I think the Murky Waters theme isn't even on the OST.

i mówią, ze tylko Polacy klną jak .. Polacy...
niestety w trójce do napisania muzyki zatrudnili obcokrajowca ;/ już to widzę jak wszystko będzie przeładowane symfoniami, tonami skrzypiec a nawet muzyka w karczmach pewnie zamiast prostych kilku ścieżek będzie miała ich ze 100 co zabije klimat... klucz do sukcesu: instrumenty z jedynki, trzymanie się muzkyki słowiańskiej, celtyckiej i może skandynawskiej, muszą dodać mezosopran który do Wiedźmina pasuje idealnie, uilleann pipes we fragmentach tak jak w tej piosence ale angol pewnie spartaczy..
