    Thank you for sharing! FYI, hook the Wastegate line to the intake manifold instead of the turbo, if you haven't already done that basically gives you a little extra boost, an exhaust cutout a cheap way to run an open pipe when you want... Must take care of the heatsoak, insulation of fuel line, AI, turbo intake pipes etc ...just my $.02😃

      @faris2776 your profile pic is the current kona (nline I'm guessing), someone I know who has the i30 nline sedan said that they don't like how the front facia looks like goerdie laforge's visor from star trek😵‍💫 I've always called them "futuristic konas", I've also seen 2 of the full fat kona ns. But kona N and ioniq 5 N are not my favorite Ns, because I feel the other appeal of the N brand is to get away from the sea of suvs and 4x4s. Tbh the ioniq 5 N gives the vibes of the land cruiser gr sport for some reason. Maybe because it's a suv and they've given it a "sporty" trim (land cruiser from the 70s and 80s are "infamous" for being rusty in the great land down under, yuck!) and the i5n has awd capabilities, while the land cruiser has 4x4. I'd like to see the reviewers test the off road capabilities of the i5n to the lc gr, asides from just it's track capabilities. The only thing I feel that sets them apart, is that one is electric and has track support, but other then that, it gives me vibes of the land cruiser and plus both are expensive. But I have herd that hyundais don't hold their value too well, where older second hand land cruisers cost as much a i5n new. I'd also like to see someone put a bull bar and "spoties" on the i5n😂

    • @darkowlmoto
      @darkowlmoto  2 роки тому +2

      A JB4 is a piggy back meaning it only taps into your stock sensors that are already there. There is no hard wiring, there is no modifying anything. It will not ruin your car in anyway. It just allows you to create a small amount more boost over stock safely without over doing it. JB4 recommends pairing it with HKS spark plugs for better performance gains. It will NOT void any warranty as it can be removed without a trace in seconds.

    • @darkowlmoto
      @darkowlmoto  3 роки тому +1

      Keep in mind the jb4 for the Elantra N will be different for the elantra n line. The n line jb4 has beta connections for the 1.6t. The Elantra N will have different connectors with more options. Hit up Terry at burgermotorsports to verify.

    • @Brendan125
      @Brendan125 3 роки тому +1

      @@darkowlmoto they should still be the same connections and set up as between the 1.6 the 2.0 and the 2.5 all use the same connections and the jb4 auto reconizes what motor they are connected to.

    • @darkowlmoto
      @darkowlmoto  3 роки тому

      Correct. But right now the jb4 is a beta version. The connectors are only friction fitted at this point. The user has to find a way to make sure they don't come undone. Per their website it says once the Correct connections are available, beta users will get them free of charge. While the jb4 unit does auto detect in a sense it still does not come with connectors that fit.

      Unfortunately I don’t see that happening. SXTH element as well as N75 Motorsports the top 2 companies in the USA who work with Kia/Hyundai have both stated they will not be making or offering downpipes. The problem right now is, is that there are no tuning options for the N Lines ECUs this comes from SXTH and N75. So even with those options the N lines ECU limits power. It has a threshold that will not let the car make anymore power. It will dial it back down to a lower number. SXTH confirmed this also when they tested their in house bolt ones. It’s unfortunate really.

      Stock is around 190 hp at the wheels. Map 1 on 91/93 octane will vary between 206-209 hp, Map 2 211-216 hp. Beyond that it won't make more power without better fuel. I highly recommend Sunoco GT-260 + (Plus) because it's 13% Race grade E85 blended with 100 octane unleaded. It makes more power than pump E85 blended with pump gas and there's no blending, just pour it in. It's cheaper than VP MS109 and makes more power

Remove the hose. Cap off the intake. Also you need an open come filter. You do not want the close box. And for the spool sound in the exhaust you want it to be as open as possible. @@darkowlmoto You won't make any more power over Map 2. My car has 50+ dyno pulls on it. The Smartstream adds full camshaft control, otherwise it's the same as the 2019-2021 engine. The car makes more power the better fuel you put into it. Boostane/VP Octanium Unleaded, etc all work. However the most power is made with Ethanol. The car stock responds to E20, you can run up to E49 but you won't gain any extra performance over E20. 97% of your gains are at E20, it's diminishing returns after that.

Join the JB4 Kia/Hyundai Group on FB. I post there all the time. I can make 260+ with just the JB4, 270+ with water methanol. The only tune you need is a back end flash but to get the most out of that you need to upgrade the turbo. The JB4 then gives you direct boost control, water methanol control, logging & boost by gear.

    Go get a 5 gallon pale of Sunoco GT-260+. Let the car learn, go back down to Map 0. Log it. Then move to Map 1, log it, Map 2, log it, then Map 3 log it. You won't need to reset the PCM as some people will suggest, that helps the car learn about the fuel quality which gets tested at startup, that is why the idle is high for a few seconds when you first crank it in the morning. Assuming you can get the power down, it will run mid to high 13's without an issue.
