    Thanks for the show! Your pen turned out very nicely, but I will agree with you on the washed-out appearance of the resin. However, you have to learn somehow, right?! Thanks to you, I have a better understanding of how translucent resin looks with a white-painted tube. :) Great job and thanks for sharing!

    Awesome pen Lynn. I am a fan of the Vertex as well. I like the small tool you used to get the center of the blanks for drilling. I'll have to keep my eye out for one. Hope you all are safe and out of harms way.

    I, too, love the magnetic Vertex pen. One caution. The spring is not captured in the cap ( I don't know why they didn't make one end larger). One of my customers lost her spring and I had to cannibalize another kit to replace it. I now put a drop of medium CA in the cap and drop the spring in and let it dry. No more lost spring. I also saw Bob's presentation. Both of you do an outstanding job.

    Both pens came out beautiful! I like either unpainted or painted tubes. It depends really. They both have their charms. :) I am trying to watch as many videos as I can because in less than 24 hours Hurricane Harvey will make landfall. Being far inland I won't be as affected as most but I might lose power. :P I have everything hooked up to the chargers at the moment - laptop, tablet, cell phone... I won't have internet but I will have some games. :) - Heidi

      Hello Heidi - Good to hear from you! Am I to assume you are in Texas? I'm in north Texas and we expect rain. tomorrow. Stay safe and I hope you aren't badly affected. FYI I'll be in a craft show the middle of September in the Willis, Texas area. Thanks for watching and best of luck.

    • @BlackCat_2
      @BlackCat_2 7 років тому

      Yes I am in Texas. Sort of between San Antonio and Austin. :P I keep getting varying reports - some say it won't reach here and others say it will (as a tropical storm or cat1) so I don't know what to expect. Just hope it isn't too bad for anyone in the path...

      +Dave White Hey Dave, it is just a magnetic cap instead of threads. It sticks to the nib end for storage and the cap end while writing. You should give be a try.
