I made it 2 times. It was perfect and your video explains the process perfectly. I used 65% cacao dark chocolate the second time, because at first I used 53% and it wasn't very rich. Also, I used brown sugar, no problems at all. Next, I'd like to try almond milk instead of whole milk.
Hi someone commented previously that the outcome was tasteless, I was pondering maybe I should mix in some milk chocolate with the dark, do you think it’s necessary?
Thanks for sharing this recipe! I had to do it twice because the first time the chocolate and agar agar didn't dissolve completely. The trick was getting the temperature to almost boiling and then turn off the fire once the milk started raising.
I just tried to do this recipe yesterday and it was finished within a few hours by my friends. Today, I will make it again to suit myself. Many thanks for this delicious and easy-to-follow recipe, Love it pretty much.😄
I would sprinkle the cocoa powder over the served slice so that it can cover any holes from the bubbles and can cover a greater area with the dry, unsweetened powder as a contrast to the silky, sweet pudding. Thanks for the clever and easy recipe!
2:53 If someone has difficulty removing the pudding, another way is to wet a cloth with hot water. Then, wring it out and lay it over the mold for a few seconds. It should slide out easily.
0:52 Hey there, you can just measure the milk with the pot on the scale, 750ml will be about 765g depending on fat content - one less dish to clean:) thanks for the recipe
To anyone whos planning to make this, it barely tastes like anything, doesnt taste like anything actually, it just tastes like your just eating flavourless jello. Tried it 5 times, adding much more sugar/chocolate or anything that can make it taste somethi9ng, still doesnt work.

Set aside and let the mixture warm. Then add the egg yolk, stir until evenly mixed, and add the rum. Stir again until evenly mixed. Then chill in the refrigerator. This vla is enjoyed with pieces of Pudding. Enjoy..

Tried it but mine came out like chocolate milk, even after refrigerating for 5 hours! Maybe needs more Agar powder? I used a measuring spoon to use exactly what was listed in the video. Not sure what I’m doing wrong
I know these comments are from a few months ago, but I was wondering if there is a possibility you had used a lower fat milk? The milk in the video is whole milk - 3.6%.
I would use 500ml double (heavy) cream with 250ml milk and add 1tbsp cocoa powder. Adding some vanilla essence of liqueur, like Baileys, should also help.
You can also do this but instead of putting the mixture in a cake tin to set, crush some biscuits into crumbs and mix with a little butter to make a base. Line a round tin with the crushed biscuit mixture and add the chocolate mixture on top and let it set. Now you have a kind of chocolate cheesecake without the cheese. I guess it’s more of a tart but still, it’s bloody lush.
@@kevinerbs2778 nah, more like a chocolate tart or a cheesecake without the cheese. You smush the crumbs down so it makes a biscuit base and then add the cream on top. You don’t mix it.

I attempted to make this yesterday. After two hours in the refrigerator, we cut into it and it was still liquid. We thought it needed more time to chill, so we left it overnight. The top is solid but underneath is still not binding and I have a pan of chocolate soup 😔 I specifically bought Agar, 7g were used, as per the recipe. Chocolate used was 90% cocoa, 200g. 750ml of milk and 80g of sugar. Wonder what I did wrong 😢
Just made it again, using 50% dark chocolate. Got firm, did resemble a pudding, tasted “ok”. NOTHING like shown in this video. We will not attempt again. 😔
Possibly a temperature issue. The agar has to get to around 90C to properly melt and form a gel that will set when it cools. Based on the instruction in the video about when to stop heating I would expect you could pretty easily end up stopping before it gets hot enough.
That looks great, probably not on my diet but hey who cares! Great idea using the milk box as a mould though I don't think we see those any more here in the UK.
I wonder how it'll turn out if I don't use chocolate but cacao powder and gelatin instead of the agar agar or maybe corn starch. A lot of the time I only have some variation of these ingredients on hand since chocolate does not survive long in my house and agar agar is not common here.

Or even making a separate batch with white chocolate, and then sort of swirling them together when you pour them in mold? For the love of God, somebody make me some right now!!!
Hmm nice pudding with plastic nanoparticles in it! Why do you think there's never anything hot or even warm sold in those Tetrapack containers? Better leave it to cool in the saucepan even if the shape isn't so "pretty" afterwards
Is it 500ml of milk in total or 750ml in total? The wording says 250ml then 250ml more, the video shows 500ml then 250ml more. Any clarification from people who have made it?
