    I have the 100 gallon transfer flow in the bed of my 2018 Ram 3500 dually. It is my 3rd tank purchase from them. All were installed at their factory in Chico California. They are fantastic, well worth the cost. The extended range is so nice when pulling the 5th wheel.

      Hi artillerybuff2000, and thanks for commenting!
      You can't beat the factory install, those guys do it every day of the week and have seen every situation there is.
      I love the TF tanks and processor controlled pumping. With your 100 gallons you have well over 1200 miles of range including the factory tank, which is awesome. I have a solid 600 mile range which gives me the option of picking my fuel stops which is what I like.
      Drive safe and have a good one!!

      Do you know if there's a place in Louisiana I can buy a 100gal transfer flow and have it installed?

    • @pmtips4482

      UTEC of Lafayette is in LA and listed as a qualified Transfer Flow dealer and installer.
      If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call TF.
      They are extremely helpful.
      Thanks for watching and good luck!

    you can change the settings on the display to show you gallons of main,auxilary & total gallons. I have a 98 transfer flow I bought in 2012 & still works fine 886,000 miles later

    Hello... does this install use the factory bed bolts to install the tank or was there drilling required to bolt it down to the bed ?

    • @pmtips4482
      @pmtips4482  4 роки тому +2

      There were 4 holes drilled in the bed of the truck. They are in locations as to not interfere with frame work so they can be properly tightened.

    Have you considered running a line to the back of your truck to feed a diesel generator at the front of your 5th wheel? If so how would that work?

    • @pmtips4482
      @pmtips4482  5 років тому +1

      I would never consider that myself. We do not have a generator in the 5th wheel.
      About the only time that would be practical is going down the road and in that situation a generator is not required.
      What would be required is some kind of Quick connect from the fuel line of your truck to the fuel line of your fifth wheel going to the generator, and if you ever forgot to unconnect it, it would be disastrous. On class A and class C it is definitely the thing to do as any permanent fuel feed remains permanent.

      @@pmtips4482 it would be used only when boondocking for longer periods of time. It would allow the generator to run all night long.

      @@mattbailey682 In that case it sure would be nice to tap into your main tanks. I don't see why you couldn't tee into the line coming from the aux tank, but I would give TF a call and make sure you can pull through the TF pump with everything turned off, as you will need a bottom pickup hose.

    hey buddy I just found you and I was thinking about getting the same tank and I have a 2017 ram 3500 megacab cummins shortbed srw truck and pulling a heartland sundance 33oock fifthwheel and I'm using a anderson ultimate fifthwheel hitch but have the factory puck system. what's your range can you go now pulling your fifthwheel and how many is that tank

    • @pmtips4482

      The Tranfer Flow Aux tank is 37 gallons but that includes a 10 percent air space (recommended), so with the 31 gallon factory tank plus a solid 32 in the aux tank, I have 63 gallons to use. Enough to allow you to choose your fuel stops.
      I can't imagine having to fuel up every 250 miles but people do it all the time.
      Don't hesitate to call TF, they have awesome CS.

    Will that fit my short bed megacab 3500 dually ram with my gooseneck?

      I would contact TF via phone, they are extremely helpful.
      When I bought this tank in 2017, it was not even listed. As soon as the demand came in they started building some and the only coating option was bed liner, so I took it.
      Thanks for watching!

    Did the tank come with the pumps installed? How much did it run?

      Hi Daniel, I bought this tank from a Transfer Flow dealer in Louisville, KY. They did the complete install for 2500.00 out the door.
      It's expensive, but I really enjoy the extra fuel on board, and the computerized automatic transfer of fuel in the truck.
      I had a 50 gallon aux Transfer Flow tank in my 2002 Dodge Cummins for 15 years and she spoiled me :)

    Transferflow couldn't be a worse company to deal with. My order was not processed and they were totally unconcerned about my inconvenience. They're price point is outrageous and customer service horrible.

      Kevin, I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with Transfer Flow.
      My experience with them is just the opposite, I have been fortunate enough to get knowledgeable techs on the phone when needed, I hit a curb at a strip mall and the float level stuck in the full position, the techs answered the phone quickly and had me lift the float out a couple inches. The whole process took less than 20 minutes.
      They are very expensive but very nice fuel delivery systems.

    Hows the tank working still? What yr/model 5th wheel are you pulling?

    • @pmtips4482

      Andreas, we pull a 2009 Copper Canyon by Keystone.
      The tank is just great!
      We had it professionally installed by a Transfer Flow dealer and they do incredible work at Manning Truck Equipment in Louisville, KY.

    Skip all that crazy BS . Buy RDS gravity flow and a inline marine fuel filter water seperation filter [AMAZON] and run into the main fuel tank using the kit. Simple and easy. works well and none of this wiring electrical bull crap.

    It seems a little dangerous to have a large fuel tank in the bed regardless of its quality. It would be better to have an in bed replacement tank

    • @pmtips4482
      @pmtips4482  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks for watching Mike!
      These tanks are bolted to the bed in four locations. There are also DOT required anti rollover check valves in the venting system. I feel very safe with this tank, and the comfort of knowing I can go 600 miles towing a fiver.
      This allows the driver to be more selective in choosing good quality fuel stops.

      Safer in the bed than having it hanging on the side 👍 OTR Trucks have 1 or 2 200-300+ gallon fuel tanks hanging outside the frame and about 12 inches off the ground 👌
