The best video I saw this year! I was very frustrated with Zinopro because I had this problem mentioned here in the video! I updated the firmware and nothing changed but when I saw this video I was impressed to know that someone had opened the camera and solved the problem with just a manual adjustment, I encouraged and did the procedure, I was amazed with the result after the adjustment, now it's perfect ! Congratulations to the creator of this video helped me a lot and will still help a lot of people!
It was good to be helpful.I was wondering if the out-of-focus problem was resolved when the Pro version was released, but I'm still surprised to see this bug appear. A user who has purchased a ZINO with out-of-focus issues will probably think, "I will never buy a Hubsan drone again" without any repairs (of course). Hubsan should be aware that more advanced quality control is required.😁

Thank you very much for this video. I bought a Hubsan zino from Banggood a couple of weeks ago. I was looking forward to create some good videos with the Zino but got very disappointed after the first flight. The video was out of focus and after searching videos at UA-cam I found information that there was some focus issues with the Zino. This was probably solved with a new camera firmware (about eight months ago). So the focus problems on my new Zino should not be related to firmware. After making the lens adjustments I went out this morning and tested the Zino camera. It was a big difference. Maybe I will make some additional adjustments on the lens to get it perfect. Many thanks!! After these adjustments I am pleased with My Zino. The gimbal keeps the horizon straight witch I could not get with my other drone, SJRC f11. I hope that SJRC will follow the good example that Hubsan has done with the Zino. But...a big BUT...Hubsan must be better with the factory quality check. It should not be the users/buyers that are fixing the problems.

Thank you for this. I'm frustrated that Hubsan have still not addressed this. I have only just bought my drone so only a month old, the seller shipped a new camera and the new camera board was just the same. I have gone back to the original camera as i have made adjustments which seem to have improved. As per other comments i recommend removing the cable from the board, it's easy to unplug and put back in.
I am very impressed that I found this video :) Few days ago I bought my Zino, and because at the weekend I have place where I can test the results is that camera have big problem with focus, video is very blurred and noises and problem with focused. It little disapointed but I am not give up with this. So first idea today is to maybe replace camera to better if it possible. I not find anything. But now I find your tutorial and see differences. So we will see, I will adjust this as you showed and next week will see effects - and I will also check possibility of unplug this Ribbon Cables :) :) I will send you information in comment did this help to solve my problems :)

I think ZINO has excellent flight performance at a low price. I think it is negative that Hubsan discourages buyers due to lack of lens adjustment. That's a great video. Sometimes factory does'nt have the same adjustment on each aircraft. I was thankful my Zino has a perfect factory adjustment. But later if i feel it gets blurred due to movements. I need to follow this instruction. I think it will help.

Hi. My Zino was completely out of focus. I followed your instructions and holy cow! I can't believe the difference. Clear, sharp images. I was fairly nervous taking apart the camera housing. Crikey, its pretty snug in there. Anyway, thanks ever so much for uploading this video. It saved my Zino.
I adjusted the focus on Zino black edition. I will advise to unplug the camera unit from it's cable. Under the pink foam You will find the plug. In this case it's much more easier to do adjustment ( since my lens was turning really hard) and the short cable will not be damaged. Ps . Before adjustment image quality was really bad ( all blurred out) and I was thinking to sell the drone , but I was shocked about improvement after adjustment. Turned clockwise just a couple of millimetres. Good luck all ;)

Seriously. I mean come on Hubsan! WTF. I had this problem with my H117S zino. Thanks God for this video that helped me fix it. Then upgraded to a Zino Pro.... Same exact problem. I mean seriously folks. What's up with Hubsan's quality control? Now I have to take apart the camera assembly on the NEW drone. Almost bought a Mavic mini....but they tend to blow away..... Phew!

Great job!!, 1.., when you remove the cover make note of how it came off.. 2.., all this is very delicate, I did find it easier to CAREFULLY pop the connector off and remove the whole camera/circuit board.. 3, When you do this be sure you have no static on you at all!! otherwise your board can get damaged. Ground yourself to a metal object or better yet use a ground strip or grounding pad attached to you..4,..My lens was very tight, tweezers did not work, I used very fine pointed needle nose pliers to turn it CLOCKWISE a hair. A very thick hair, but a hair. you pick the color.lol. we are talking mm or 2 only!!. 5...put it all back together the same way you take it apart then test it. My camera centered at an angle at first but it straightened out eventually, so be warned, you might end up having to perform a camera calibration afterwards, in which you will need the camera calibration tool..!! It centered by itself after I flew it.....All in all I am now focused!!!! So here you have it. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN and IF YOU DO THIS!!!!!! Thanks megumi for the challenge!!!!! P.S. mine is a zino pro.

Big thank you! I have been watching reviews on this drone endlessly, trying to decide if I should buy it. What is the #1 reason for buying a camera drone? To take videos and pictures. Wouldn't you think it would be #1 priority to the company to adjust the camera correctly? I had an Autel X Star that I sold a couple of years ago. It had an awesome camera. Wish I had kept it. :-( This drone and the Fimi x8 SE seem to be very good. But both lack sharpness. I'm curious if the same can be done with the Fimi. I'm so happy to see how to adjust it. @@megumi7000 Choosing Fimi may not be so wise. I got the fimi a3 and the out of focus problem exists with that make as well. The exact same problem with the focus but the opposite side of the screen. There are no screws on the camera for the fimi so I don't think you can do the same fix?
turned the lens about 45 degree clockwise today..the focus got better on the center but very blurry on right and left..i don't want to do this too often as i might loosen the screw holes..is there a way to adjust the lens and test it right away without reassemble everything?
I think there is a possibility that the screw hole will loosen by frequent adjustment. However, it is impossible with ZINO to fine-tune while looking at the monitor like a single-lens reflex camera.
what scares me is, that i don´t like to adjust it many times, i am fear that i damage any thing and i haven´t a camera after 😐🤔 My Quality is not so bad but a little bit out of focus picture but not only on one side, the full picture, but i saw it´s because the light if it´s not enought

I, I've made the setting of the lense this morning, and it improved the focus, but now, when i turn the drone on it, the horizon, don't stay horizontal unlike before. I've tried to calibrate the gimbal many times. The process was successful, but the problem is still there. What can i do to correct that. Is there something to do with the firmware updates? Today I made this adjustment, but I think its not better...made correction 3-4 times ..but not better + I think I scratched the lens :(...ooo can I buy only camera..or need to buy all gimbal? :/

I can't say for sure, but we recommend turning it clockwise first. If the left focus is more blurred, turn it counterclockwise. Anyway, you need to adjust it many times to just focus.😅
Hi MASAYAN😀 This is quality control issue in the factory,not a screw loose. In the first place, I felt it was difficult to use a lens of this size for 4K video.😓

I scratched the fuck out of my lens accidentally trying this method. Luckily I was able to get a replacement. Make sure you have a steady hand.

Well, there are times when you can't focus perfectly even if you adjust. Because maybe the lens is distorted. Choosing Fimi may be a wise decision.😅

edit, i opened but the lens are fixed from factory , i think this is the old version of the lens , isn´t it new a new build maybe ?
You did a excellent job on this video and the repair. This is not a fun task to do because of the very fragile cable.

Organik Visions Out of all the zino’s I have worked on only one ever needed this. It’s not fun if you don’t get it right the first time.

Mine Zino is out of focus on the left side. Should I turn the lens counter clockwise?
I can't say for sure, but we recommend turning it clockwise first. If the left focus is more blurred, turn it counterclockwise. Anyway, you need to adjust it many times to just focus.😅

Hi MASAYAN😀 This is quality control issue in the factory,not a screw loose. In the first place, I felt it was difficult to use a lens of this size for 4K video.😓
