This is incredible! You are bringing back when cars where beautifully designed.
Glad you like them!
Looking really good... excellent work...
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for another great video.
To seal the silicon tube, just pump a little out and let it go hard, next time you use it just pull the little bit out.
Blue... White and red!!! Vive lá France!!! Vive your great job!!!
Nar ! That's British colours ! 🤪
what works great for the break lines i use copper tubing less likely to break in time, learned it from racing karts i walked away from my kart and someone grab the lines and broke them real fun when you need to stop , haha i would love to build one of these looks like fun, great video,
Great tip! I also am not a fan of those janky plastic lines.
Red/white/blue, greetings from the Netherlands, ...I suggest orange wheels....
Thank God for clecos!
Yes, they are a must when dealing with any panels like this.
My brother and I went to the Auburn museum today in Auburn Indiana and he told me about this and I been looking to get in race and I found it. Please get back to me thanks
The inspiration car for this build is at the Museum at Indy.
The problem with the paint finish is two fold. Should have lightly roughened the surface with a light Scotchbrite pad and cleaned it with Acetone before priming, did the same thing to the prime coat before finishing. The effect your seeing is Orange Peel.
I have tried several different methods since this video was made. I can paint on dirty unprepped aluminum, one thick coat, it looks good. Try to put a second coat after the first dries and it wrinkles up and looks like doo doo. Someone told me that its something in the paint to help it bond to the surface, not fun, but now that I know, I can plan ahead.

It’s called Alligator’ caused an unclean surface, too much 2nd coat before the first one is completely dried, and failure to sand in between coats. The bottom line to a good final finish is in the prep work. Cleaning, priming, sanding and cleaning. Sure it take time but so does anything worth waiting for.
You could have used sheet brass or copper for the radiator hood....
Yes, the original was a copper color. I tried to simulate that effect with spray paint, but decided that I preferred the painted look. Also there is a photo of the car in 1914 that makes it look like the radiator was painted the body color of blue. Thanks for watching.
@@stevevinson6030 I think it looks cleaner the way you have it. Just didn't know if you thought of the other was all.
Clecos and Cam Loc fasteners. You an aircraft guy?
No, but I think those are super helpful items to have when building anything with aluminum.
@@stevevinson6030 agreed. I asked because I spent 27 years building military aircraft. Gotta love clecos.
Ganhou mais um escrito tambem estou fazendo um ciclet cart parabéns de um brasileiro apaixonado por trabalhos em carros artesanais
Welcome and thank you.
What kind of cycle wheel should we us and do we need any kind of modification
Most guys are using 17" wheels from a Honda CT90 or similar
Muito bom, show de bola
Oh, the good old days when one man could do most of the work if he had the skills and tools. Nowadays folks on those production lines perform one repetitive taks over and over and over.
First I need to build a quiet place Garage to do the work without being interrupted by other's opinions or "you can't do that" etc.,etc.
Personally though, I still prefer the Alfetta
busy hands and all that. Thanks for watching
How do I get a kit like this? I live in Indiana and want to get into this type of race
Kits are not available as far as I know. You have to build it yourself.
