I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I was lying in bed one night and told my partner how much I enjoy it. I hope Kirstie comes back again with another show like this or even better another season of this show. Thank you again.
I love this series, all the arts and crafts presented and the genius but also warm and cozy interior decoration! I wish there were more seasons! Kirstie, come back! We want more homemade homes!!! 🙂
A perfect show! I hope they do a new series, post COVID. As many people are now more interested in recycling & up-cycling. Plus, working with a limited budget is a great motivator to think creatively!
My goodness, this is just beautiful!!!!! I love the idea of making ones own bits of things....visiting local artisans workshops is a fabulous idea. Amazing!! TY Kirstie...this is beautiful.
This reminds me of redoing my house after a housefire smoked it up really bad and the interior was stripped down to the studs. I was very actively involved in every detail, sourcing a lot of the materials to make room in the budget to ensure some much needed upgrades took place. I still need to unpack everything and get all my pictures and things hung up and placed around the room but have been stuck for months. Last night I spent several hours organizing things in preparation to get seriously into the final unpacking and decorating. I spent a few hours at a thrift store, coming home with a few highly decorative small mirrors and a glass ball which will fit nicely into my oldy worldy theme and are destined for the area around the front door so they are always the first and last things a person sees when arriving or departing. I'm thinking about all my unfinished projects and future projects and things I'd love to do. I bought a lathe a year ago but don't have space for a workshop at present. The neighbor's youngest expressed a wish for a lathe, so we talked about bringing my very large lathe over to their garage, then I have access to it and he can learn a valuable skill (and I have room in my shed to organize and move about) so it will be a win-win scenario. I spent 8 months in an apartment which was initially furnished through a company that furnished everything needed, but after a month it was all gone, I preferred to go out and buy things from thrift stores and classified ads and have things about me with character and personality rather than generic things that would be in any number of rentals all over the country for people in my position. And the best part was I could choose whether to keep the items, give them to my nieces and nephews as they began to buy their first homes, or send them back to the thrift store.
Working with these artisans to create something that is all your own is wonderful! Here in the States it's so expensive. But I will be looking for something I can afford. Kristy, you share so much and Gain so much helping these people. What a wonderful feeling you must have when you close your eyes at night. Well done.
Really enjoying this show as it follows my philosophy exactly. The seed pops are from a eucalyptus tree (we just call them gumtrees in Australia) they also have a lovely smell
such a nice series, I'm glad I stumbled upon it! it shares all of my thoughts about home decorating - thrifting, handmade, remade, putting a personal touch on your home, and not letting lack of money hinder you (though lack of money do hinder me when it comes to buying from artisans, however nice it would be...). I've saved the playlist, and will for sure watch it again!
Staggeringly beautiful results! 😍 And very personal. Love this series, can't wait to see more. Appreciate Kirstie even more, now. Only saw her on love it or list it and location, location before.
Why are there rusty (!) pliers, with red handles, lying on the tile floor at the end of each program? We do love your enthusiasm and energy, you are so positive and helpful. The really important aspect of this program is to get the homeowners involved and to help themselves.
"Wood turning is for boys" ??!! How outrageous can one be? Is this consistent with the statement a few seconds earlier that people just need to be given the opportunity in order to learn to love an activity? I think not.
She's fine to be a girly girl if she wants and I am sure she meant no offense. I took it that she meant the boys in the class took to it better than she did...

Great comment! I so agree.
The crafts are such fun and I wish I still lived in the UK to be able to take up classes

Great series, will you post more episodes
The seeds are of the Eucalyptus tree.
Does Kistie know how to knit? Great show. Thank you
Nope. She took a stab in the first series, and almost completed a row!
that armoire cabinet for 150 pounds - WOW

Your antique expert needs to see a doctor about his lungs.
Healthy living and eating using homegrown product should be a part of these programs, the public don't look particularly healthy
neither of them need jams or cakes....
Fat shaming is such an ugly attitude.
Kirstie makes it all look easy. ❤
