  • Walter Hamada, the president of DC Films at Warner Brothers, testified in Johnny Depp's defamation trial against Amber Heard that her role in "Aquaman 2" was not diminished because of Depp, but was always planned to be diminished because of a lack of chemistry between Heard and star Jason Momoa, as well as the editorial direction the film was taking.

I had to learn that the hard way dealing with one myself.
My insane ex cheated on me, stole from me, assaulted me, terrified my relatives, I could go on and on, and he will blame everybody and everyone but himself. Amber Heard and her legal team have made a horrible mistake. In mentioning aqua-man 2 and warner bros she has potentially burned a major bridge in her career. They did not want to be dragged into this case mainly because they knew that they had not altered her pay or position based on JD which is what she is claiming. Because of AH’s claims Warner Bros might not hire her for future roles. In short, AH’s is ruining her career and personal life all because she still wants to still battle JD. She did not need to post her op-ed after her divorce settlement and she did not need to counter sue for defamation especially if she knew that her statements were not truthful. She's done herself no favours by falsely claiming that Johnnys claims affected Warner Brothers descion on her role in Aquaman 2.
Harsh reality for Amber is that there are a great number of female co-stars in superhero movies, Black Panther, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, the majority of which playing similar roles as herself that is a love interest for the main character, some with a greater resume if work, and unless your talents are exceptional, a star on a show/movie can never outshine The Star of the show/movie which most co-stars accept.

This is soooooooo incredibly damaging to Amber because of all of the testimony she gave while crying theatrically about how she lost her Aquaman role because of Johnny and how she had to go and beg to keep her job and after many weeks they hired her back, shows SHE FLAT OUT LIED! Amber NEVER counted on the President of Warner Brothers personally giving a deposition on Johnny's behalf to show she indeed lied. She has not only lied against Johnny, but has now blacklisted herself with any and every reputable movie company in the world! Bye, bye Amber's career!
*On a side note, I love the zingers about how she was NEVER a co star, it was always a "buddy movie" and how they wanted to replace her because she didn't have chemistry with Jason. That shows that Jason DIDN'T fight to keep her, it just was easier to keep her due to her contract and just let her go after the second minimal part. That has got to hurt that she WASN'T the star she thought she was, straight from the President's mouth!!!! 😂

I really hope it flops and WB sues her for the production costs.

I feel JD’s reputation is being tarnished out of spite, not truth. I fear real survivors of abuse may remain silent or reluctant to come forward. AH has set-back a movement with her lies & false allegation by bringing attention & awareness to the negative impact & consequences for reporting abuse. AH is a very troubled woman both emotionally & mentally. She simply needs help. After this trial is over, I hope she can get the help she needs.

Even though I think Johnny has gotten much less creative in acting lately, he didn’t deserve this. I know toxic former partners and Amber is exactly that. Not quite. The tie to JD is through his previous lawyer, and comments Mr. Waldman made about AH back whenever it happened. So supposedly Mr. Waldman/JD "caused" defamation, that created her "supposed" loss of financial opportunity in mabe Aquaman 3, or a big "$ raise" in Aquaman 2, from the 1st movie. So proving whether a charge/claim can "stick", there is more than 1 point to proving that the wording of the law along with the intent of it, is met correctly. It is not just a "yes" or "no" process either. There may be 3-8 specific points within the law that have to be met to call it a "yes". The lists the jurors will work off of when they go deliberate, has multiple points to verify. If specific number of those "points" are met, then it is affirmative or non-affirmative to matching the claim to the law.

LOL...the attorney should have asked her that very question when grilling her about the "donation" she calls a pledge. The difference is that a pledge is a loose promise that can be non-contractual while a donation is in the bank. The donation is paid and already generating interest. You can take that to the bank with a donation. A pledge relies on the promised money to hopefully come through but isn't in the bank. She should never ever have pledged the divorce settlement in the first place. If she wanted to donate it to charity, do it and shut up about it. She wanted to prove she wasn't a gold digger. She wanted the positive press without suffering the monetary losses and she would have gotten away with it if she had left Johnny Depp alone after the divorce.
