- Last week, I was volunteering in the TR's youth team, Navvies. Whilst there, a lot of footage was taken, and here it is! Enjoy!

Stunning video, I think this is the best I've seen, oh, and heard too!
Thank you!
nice filming and editing
Thanks!
Things have changed a bit since my first visit in 1961!
I can imagine!
@@PHsRailwayVideos also visited Festiniog and vale of Rheidol railways first time in 1961, has been fascinating to see them over a period exceeding 60 years. Have derived so much pleasure.
@@peterhunt2723 Nice, I can certainly imagine quite how much they've changed, especially the FR! I first visited the FR and TR in 2015, and the VOR in 2018, they haven't changed that much!
3:13 sir Haydn has no Doppler effect 😢
No, unfortunately not.
Why unfortunately not?
Like his whistle when he passes by his whistle sound goes low pitch
@@Kitty_Boy1234officialI thought the pitch stayed roughly the same, hence why it's unfortunately. Listening back though, it does go slightly lower.
Do steam engines have air vacuum?
Most do in the UK - it's a legal requirement here to have continuous braking throughout a train, and most steam engines in the UK are fitted with a vacuum pump to make that happen. Not all are, however - for instance, on the Talyllyn the engines have air brakes, which also provide continuous brakes but without a vacuum, and there are also some locos which haven't been vacuum fitted because they're not going to pull any passenger trains any time soon.
Well does it suck you in?
@@Kitty_Boy1234officialNo, it keeps the brakes off but nothing more than that.
But for diesel engines do they suck you in with air vacuum?
@@Kitty_Boy1234official No, the vacuum in diesels works pretty similarly to the vacuum with steam engines.
