Talyllyn Railway - Anything Goes Gala 2023

I've spent the last week in wales volunteering on the Talyllyn Railway! At the end of the week I decided to spend the last day filming trains as I wasn't rostered on any duties that day. A lot went on for the anything goes gala this year including Alfs famous express, 2 and 6 double heading a goods train and a morris minor on a flatbed along with some baby versions of Dolgoch.
A quick pre warning to folk who don't enjoy music in my videos, the next big one will have music in it because of what event it is (Awdry extravaganza). After that videos will return to the no music status unless another RWS themed event happens this year. Also please note that when you visit the real railway, not all the locations in this video are for the public to visit, I was at these locations via permission as i'm a volunteer at the railway.

A Really Useful Railway.
Great to see The Old Lady back.. Finally, Rheneas can visit the Talyllyn again!
It was lovely to hear her at the head of trains again, now just waiting on Number 1!

@@TheMidlandTerrier yeah.. the TR are hoping for N° 1 to be ready for the start of the 2024 season which is fun.. the GCR in Loughborough are hoping for 70013 to be ready for late this year - early next year!

Where is Talyllyn and Edward Thomas?
at current both are under overhaul at various stages, No.1 has been out of service since 2018 however will be back in action in 2024. No.4 was withdrawn at the beginning of 2023 and is looking to also be back by 2024
