Corris Railway No10 Falcon Loco delivery to Maespoeth Shed

This is a video showing the delivery of our new Falcon Locomotive from Alan Keef's Ltd on the 30th August to the rebuilt section of the Corris Railway. This loco is a copy of the original three 0-4-2 locos that were operated on the 2ft 3in gauge Corris Railway in Mid Wales, The survivor No3 is now on the nearby Talyllyn Railway [ the worlds first preserved railway ] basically the chassis was built by Keef's and from there upwards parts were built by members of the society or bought in by the railway and associated component parts fabricated and fitted and Steam tested at Keef's. The loco is unlined at the moment but I'm going to line it probably early in the new year. There is a removable cab side sheet on the blanked off side for when it visits the Talyllyn Railway. The loco is in service now so why not come and visit this railway?

Oh! This is fantastic! This railway will definitely be on the list of railways to visit whilst in Wales in the near future.
