Narrow gauge diesels are always the unsung heroes of the Narrow gauge railways. Its great to see some of the Narrow gauge railways running these diesel gala's to appreciate them.
I'm so proud of Luke for how far he's come since he started at Ribble steam all those years ago. Definitely deserves more recognition than he currently gets ❤
What a great video! 20/10! Fantastic! Such a great railway with lots of interesting locos/rolling stock. Wow, just brilliant! Thank you for producing and sharing 😊👍
20:54 I make an appearance in the background, it really was a great day and I only wish I'd realised that the miniature railway was down there. I thought everyone was just nipping off to the volunteer hut for a break
Looks like you get a lovely face full of diesel smoke from the little Alf loco. Gotta wonder if a slightly taller exhaust wouldn't make it more pleasant experience.
Public transport across counties ought locate overnight lodgings. Overnight travel arranged for TWO-TRAINS a day in each direction. Passengers seek sleep accommodations and catch the next train 12 hours later. From cross-county rail to local/municipal public transport, your guess is better than mine.
@artlewellan2294 Ah, well, putting up with public transport is OK in my books if you want to see the talyllyn. The railway is right next to a mainline, but I am not sure if there is a station. From where I live, talyllyn is indeed an overnight stay. I daresay that Juipiter is more relible than the trains over here. As for accommodation, twywn is only a small town, but if you want to volunteer, like so many do, perhaps consider staying at the volunteer hostel. It's a great place, for budding enthusiasts to relive the past, without the long, and frankly taxing journey home.

Another great video Lawrie, I was half expecting one of the model trains to have a driver with a pony tail in your honour. Maybe for next time. 🤔🤞
Lawrie needs to contact ModelU to get mini Lawrie figure produced.

The words from my boy's mouth when he saw you on Toby.... "lawrie on a trolley, he needs a lolly!"
Number 7 is great, it's the one I've driven! It has to be said well done to the railway for letting some of the other toys out to play.
Is Alf running well?
Thanks Lawrie! 🙏🙏

I just love narrow gauge, oh yeah and love your videos too!
Thank you very much! Glad you're enjoying what we do
I've never thought about this but since Trecwn and St. Cadfan have covered wheels doesn't that technically make them diesel trams?
Aaah you tease, making us wait for a part 2!🤣🤣
hi lawrie it was nice to meet you that day it was a pleasure to meet you.
Thanks for coming and saying hello!

Your guess is as good as or better than mine. We you all must drive cars less.
