I dont care how much people hate on Slipknot or Joey. They are some of the most musical musicians in metal today. Most metal acts cant even write successful soft songs let along multiple ones. And the amount of thought that goes into each song from percussion to piano, just shows their musicality. Behind the tough rough exterior Slipknot is very mellow and organized. And Corey has the perfect voice for rock, its one of the most distinctive voices out there. As well, no matter what people say about Joey, it was his writing and drumming style that no one else would have been able to come up with for such a unique band like Slipknot. People still cant play the songs the way he did let alone write something that can out do it. I listen to all genres, but I have a reserved spot for Slipknot. I would love to see them do a duo acoustic gig with Ghosts guitarists, it would be both melodic and eerie.
