OMGosh, you guys are awesome! So informative compared to the Breville website. We have been shopping this exact machine for the past month and you have definitely sold me now. We enjoyed coffee from this machine while staying out of town. No comparison to a regular, pre-ground coffee pot. There was left over coffee in the pot at 8 pm that had been brewed around 7 am, it was still hot like it had just been brewed! I actually asked if they had just made a fresh pot. We too have a full size Keurig and regular machine, and this will be a 2-in-1!!!! SOLD.
Looks like this is my next coffee maker. I was impressed that the next morning coffee was still hot.

Love Breville kitchen appliances ... I have their largest smart oven and use daily. Rarely use my stove oven now ... it’s like this coffee maker ... has tons of settings. Thanks for the great review ... I’m probably going to chose this one ... been using their k-cup stainless steel one that they don’t make any more. Ready to get back to brewed coffee.

You guys are so cute. I totally love this review. I was thinking about getting this coffee maker and you have a totally sold it. Just need your attitudes to come with the package.
I have one of these as well and I agree with you that it is great. However...you do understand that your not getting away from the “plastic” concern by using this instead of the Keurig. With a Keurig, your correct, the hot water is pushed into and thru the plastic K-cup. But, with the Breville the hot water is actually steeped for several minutes in guess what....plastic. 😬 As well the coffee bean hopper and all the internals are made of...you guessed it, plastic. So although the coffee is far superior and you have many more brewing options with the Breville, I’m not really sure if your getting away from the “plastic” concern. BTW great job on your channel. Good info in a fun informative manner. Two thumbs up!!!
We actually got one of these for Mother's day for my wife. We love it! We also got a monthly subscription to Death Wish coffee. That's a great combination!

Rachel, I had to laugh when you said you named your coffee maker Mr. Darcy. One of my farm endeavors is to breed a rare variety of goose. I named all my original flock members after characters in Pride and Prejudice and my Mr. Darcy turned out to be borderline psychotic! I hope your coffee maker never turns on you like my Mr. Darcy did on poor Mr. Bingley. Goose Mr. Darcy wanted all the ladies to himself.
I have had 3 of these exact machines in my office. Just a little tip... do NOT use anything other than very dry beans, the grinder goes out! Now using the third machine where the grinder died, we gave up on the just add grinds. ☕️

I always grind my beans. I have a coffee grinder. So much fresher!
Now you will have to do a video when it is time to clean that machine :-)
Cleaning it is easy. Rinse out where the grinds go and wipe down the sliver plate where the grind come out.

🦊 No. You'll need a handle type brush.
How many samples did you make before you figured your perfect potency level? The grinder sounded a bit laggy unless it was just how the microphone picked it up. Lol...I manually pour boiling water through my filter thing on my coffee maker because the machine doesn't get the water hot enough. I wouldn't trust having the grinder as part of the machine. I use my magic bullet to grind the beans because I've had to replace the regular grinders several times. Will the machine still work if the grinder dies?
We started on the suggest setting of level 3 grind and brew strength of 4. That was really good but now we tried it on level 2 and it’s perfect. The grinder isn’t laggy, it’s the way the mic picked it up, plus it’s a burr grinder instead of a blade one, so it sounds different. The machine brews at about 204 degrees. The machine will still work without the grinder because you can use ground coffee, but it has a great warranty and we got the extended warranty for $20

As soon as I heard it grind I was like DAMN IT MY WIFE WILL FREAK when she’s trying to sleep in on the weekends. I wonder if you can get a silencer. 🤔
You can always use the “Pre Ground” setting to avoid grinding on occasion.

We still have it and love it. We make at least 2 pots a day and have had no issues.

It is expensive but when we consider that we were spending a minimum of about $6 a day on k-cups, we’ll make it back in no time. Plus the taste is so much better

Joe do you ever wish Rachel looked at you the way she looks at that coffee maker 😂😂😂. I kind of dislike my Keurig too. I don't think I will be buying a coffee maker any time soon. I don't drink much coffee anymore. I'm afraid my zipfizz habit has replaced my coffee habit. I hope you get some good money for selling your commercial grade keurig.

Looks nice but too much to remember just give me a k-cup and a press button.
Once you have it set up, it’s just a matter of filling it with water, changing the filter and pressing a button. We pretty much use the same setting
