I don't think this ever gets cleaned up until we start dropping legacy hires and family members that make any decision of note. We do not draft well or develop well and that needs to change. Sadly, I don't think there is any chance this will happen.
The season is lost. There is no sense trying to win games now. If they should win their last two games they'll be picking at #8, maybe higher. Two more losses will help. Wouldn't it be nice to pick up someone like Jayden Daniels next year?

Hi Guys, I have been gone for a while due to some personal issues. Ok, with that out of the way, there is no question in my mind that I want to trade down if I can and I am not looking to draft a QB. There is no sense in drafting a QB if you do not have the inferstructure around him to let him seceded. We have lots of holds to fill. I want to keep trading down so I have draft picks for this year and some in the future. Don't forget Arch Manning is still an underclassman. I am looking to go into free agency and take a veteran QB who is mobile. Lets get this team to a point where they can seceed before we draft a QB. Daboll and Schoen lost the locker room. I think it's safe to say that. These players really are not trying like they were in the early games of the season. We need a new spark. New QB, GM and HC and they'll have a reason to be hopeful again

Speaking of the O line as you do your draft review check out these O lineman. WVU LT Wyatt Milum he will probably be gone but he is good plays both LT and RT and he is from my alma mater so I had to mention him. 2 mid-round O lineman that can fix the depth of the O line immedatley in my opinion are: North Dakota State University LT Gray Zabel plays both LT & RT willing to learn C and is technically sound. Cincinati Bearcats RG Luke Kandra an Elite pass protector in 2022 and Elite run blocker in 2023 according to PFF and can play all three interior O line spots Adding Zabel and Kandra would add depth at all 5 spots on the line. Zabel would be a day one swing tackle while Kandra could provide a back up C as well as could compete to be the starting RT
I saw a mock draft that had us taking that WVU tackle in Round 2. I definitely want another interior DL to pair with Dex. Idk what options there would be in FA or the draft
Daniel Jones contract wasn’t bad at the time, 2 years guaranteed after a solid season where we won a playoff game. They offered Saquon the same money in the 2023 offseason that the Beagles offered him this year. Danny Dimes crippled our season this year, he wasn’t the same off the ACL. Keep Daboll and Schoen for another 2 years at least with their QB. Schoen had a really good draft this year and he pulled off the Burns trade. Plus, their decision to let Saquon go opened up the ability to have a shot at the No. 1 pick plus a compensatory 3rd coming.

This is what I’ve been saying. 2 more years. You can’t keep changing every 2-3 years and expect success. They have to see it through including learning from their mistakes. 4th coach since Coughlin. C’mon, enough of this. I don’t want to keep starting over because there’s no patience. Get the QB. Keep improving the Oline. Fill some holes (next to Dex and at CB). Get healthy (anyone see the injury list??). Build depth. They can do all of that this offseason between the draft and free agency. DJ had the physical skills he just wasn’t decisive enough. No pocket awareness either. Ward appears to be the opposite. That alone could have accounted for at least 3 more wins first half of the year. Now there isn’t anything left to evaluate seriously.

If you don't have your franchise QB its best to lose, if you're the Panthers, Jacksonville or any team that believes they have their guy at QB then you should try and win every game to increase moral/culture. Having said that these QBs this year are not like last year. I would take every QB from last yr before any QB this year including JJ McCarthy or Bo Nix who i believe both would go 1st overall this year But you still have to yo take your shot with either Shedeur or Cam because without a QB you're just existing in the NFL.

The draft class from 2022 draft class is on Gettleman and not Schoen. Gettleman was still in the building the scouts were Gettleman's and the draft board was Gettleman's. So that class although Schoen made the picks it was Gettleman's class.

Dak, Jordan love and Brock Purdy were low draft picks that worked bc the coaching staff was consistent and they were developed properly; something I have zero faith this current coaching staff can do. They all have to go now to allow a new coaching staff to grow and build with the QB. It’s a tried and true method as both of you have said. At the very least Daboll, Kafka and Bowen need to leave along with Dabolls assistants. I’d like Schoen gone too but all signs point to him staying.

The problem is, we can't actually properly evaluate most of Schoen's picks bc the coaching is so bad we don't know if it was the coaching or lack of talented picks. Experts everywhere praised the picks of KT and Evan Neal at 5 and 7. Most saw them as can't miss. Mel Kiper literally had evan neal as the 5th best player in the draft and KT was 7th best player in the draft. Todd McShay had KT as the 6th best player in the draft and Evan Neal as the 4th best player in the draft early on. Now one is irrelevant and the other is a solid piece but nothing special. You tell me if that falls on lack of development or bad picks? You can't bc we can't evaluate them properly until there is a better coaching staff (if they aren't completely ruined already).

easy to see the problem in picking qb with #1- pick ,look at last year with stroud and young , young goes first to carolina who did not have the coaching or roster for him to be successful ,texans take stroud who had the coaching and players for him to succeed. giants may want to trade pick to #3 or# 4 team, then pick travis hunter + more picks & take qb later or F.A. signing
Reasons I disagree with firing Schoen and Daboll. 1) Schoen has been forced to use the draft to fill holes. Schoen has done a decent job with trades and free agency Mara I think pushed to resgn Jones after 2022 because Schoen was going to let Jones go which is why he didn't pick up the 5th year option Schoen has made a huge improvement to the O line which is better than it was for more than a decade. I know it lacks depth but it's still improved. 2) As for Daboll let's start with the fact that the team although 2 - 13 right now with a good kicker not missing time the team is at least 5 - 10 and possibly 7 - 8. With a decent QB they may even be sitting at 9 wins right now. Daboll has coached his ass off getting the most out of Jones adjusting plays calls and doing things to assist bad QBs be competitive. DeVitto won 3 games last year Taylor Won 2 games last year. Lock had them in position to win in Dallas this year and Tim Boyle almost beat the Saints. Daboll has gotten a ton out of terrible QBs give him a talented QB and those games they almost won become Ws
Problem I have w ur assessment. Schoen has forced himself to draft replacements for holes. Ex 1) We didn’t need to draft Tyler Nubin had we signed McKinney. Also, had we signed Julian Love at the affordable deal he got, we could’ve had him and a later draft pick (for safety) instead of Nubin. Ex 2: Schoen keeps drafting Oline and missing, so we have to allocate funds to FA olineman. Ex 3: he’s drafted two 2nd day Tight Ends and practically three if u consider the 3rd traded for Waller. Ex 4: he let go Tyrod and filled the qb room w Drew Lock and DeVito 💀. This dude is an awful gm
If they are considering keeping Schoen, one thing that seriously hurts him is that he had the opportunity to get Russell Wilson, and instead of paying Russ 2 million and giving him a potential starting opportunity they chose to overpay drew lock!

I disagree with the assessment of the game lastnight Penix had 0 to do with the Giants losing that game. For as lopsided as the score was. About midway through the second quarter the Giants were on the verge of gong up double digits. Then Lock threw a pick 6 that changed the momentum of the game. All together Lock gave Atlanta 21 of their 34 points. 2 pick 6s and a fumble that setup a TD run. Really it could have and should have been 13 - 7. With a decnt QB the Giants probably win that game by double digits with no other changed to the roster.
I think you guys should stop talking about firing the GM and the head coach unless you are putting names to your desire. We need an actual name of a GM and the head coach who are available. The giants have so many holes, we can't pay top of the market for a safety and a RB now. You can spend money on those positions as cherry on top type of acquisitions. Look who signed those players teams that have tons of talent and those guys put them over the top. We need to build out our lines. Build inside out. We are so far away from adding players like that to big contracts!

Promote Brown from Asst. GM to GM. He’s comes from Philly, who obviously has the formula down. Every one they draft, damn near hits. Their starting QB wasn’t even drafted in the first round. Think about that. That’s where the good QB’s are. When you know how to develop players, you can do that. The Giants don’t develop their players.

Hi Guys, I have been gone for a while due to some personal issues. Ok, with that out of the way, there is no question in my mind that I want to trade down if I can and I am not looking to draft a QB. There is no sense in drafting a QB if you do not have the inferstructure around him to let him seceded. We have lots of holds to fill. I want to keep trading down so I have draft picks for this year and some in the future. Don't forget Arch Manning is still an underclassman. I am looking to go into free agency and take a veteran QB who is mobile. Lets get this team to a point where they can seceed before we draft a QB. Like to hear with my other fellow followers think from here.

WVU LT Wyatt Milum he will probably be gone but he is good plays both LT and RT and he is from my alma mater so I had to mention him.
2 mid-round O lineman that can fix the depth of the O line immedatley in my opinion are:
North Dakota State University LT Gray Zabel plays both LT & RT willing to learn C and is technically sound.
Cincinati Bearcats RG Luke Kandra an Elite pass protector in 2022 and Elite run blocker in 2023 according to PFF and can play all three interior O line spots
Adding Zabel and Kandra would add depth at all 5 spots on the line. Zabel would be a day one swing tackle while Kandra could provide a back up C as well as could compete to be the starting RT
I saw a mock draft that had us taking that WVU tackle in Round 2. I definitely want another interior DL to pair with Dex. Idk what options there would be in FA or the draft
Daniel Jones contract wasn’t bad at the time, 2 years guaranteed after a solid season where we won a playoff game. They offered Saquon the same money in the 2023 offseason that the Beagles offered him this year. Danny Dimes crippled our season this year, he wasn’t the same off the ACL. Keep Daboll and Schoen for another 2 years at least with their QB. Schoen had a really good draft this year and he pulled off the Burns trade. Plus, their decision to let Saquon go opened up the ability to have a shot at the No. 1 pick plus a compensatory 3rd coming.

This is what I’ve been saying. 2 more years. You can’t keep changing every 2-3 years and expect success. They have to see it through including learning from their mistakes. 4th coach since Coughlin. C’mon, enough of this. I don’t want to keep starting over because there’s no patience. Get the QB. Keep improving the Oline. Fill some holes (next to Dex and at CB). Get healthy (anyone see the injury list??). Build depth.
They can do all of that this offseason between the draft and free agency.
DJ had the physical skills he just wasn’t decisive enough. No pocket awareness either. Ward appears to be the opposite. That alone could have accounted for at least 3 more wins first half of the year. Now there isn’t anything left to evaluate seriously.

If you don't have your franchise QB its best to lose, if you're the Panthers, Jacksonville or any team that believes they have their guy at QB then you should try and win every game to increase moral/culture.
Having said that these QBs this year are not like last year. I would take every QB from last yr before any QB this year including JJ McCarthy or Bo Nix who i believe both would go 1st overall this year
But you still have to yo take your shot with either Shedeur or Cam because without a QB you're just existing in the NFL.

The draft class from 2022 draft class is on Gettleman and not Schoen. Gettleman was still in the building the scouts were Gettleman's and the draft board was Gettleman's. So that class although Schoen made the picks it was Gettleman's class.

Dak, Jordan love and Brock Purdy were low draft picks that worked bc the coaching staff was consistent and they were developed properly; something I have zero faith this current coaching staff can do. They all have to go now to allow a new coaching staff to grow and build with the QB. It’s a tried and true method as both of you have said. At the very least Daboll, Kafka and Bowen need to leave along with Dabolls assistants. I’d like Schoen gone too but all signs point to him staying.

The problem is, we can't actually properly evaluate most of Schoen's picks bc the coaching is so bad we don't know if it was the coaching or lack of talented picks. Experts everywhere praised the picks of KT and Evan Neal at 5 and 7. Most saw them as can't miss. Mel Kiper literally had evan neal as the 5th best player in the draft and KT was 7th best player in the draft. Todd McShay had KT as the 6th best player in the draft and Evan Neal as the 4th best player in the draft early on. Now one is irrelevant and the other is a solid piece but nothing special. You tell me if that falls on lack of development or bad picks? You can't bc we can't evaluate them properly until there is a better coaching staff (if they aren't completely ruined already).

Reasons I disagree with firing Schoen and Daboll.
1) Schoen has been forced to use the draft to fill holes.
Schoen has done a decent job with trades and free agency
Mara I think pushed to resgn Jones after 2022 because Schoen was going to let Jones go which is why he didn't pick up the 5th year option
Schoen has made a huge improvement to the O line which is better than it was for more than a decade. I know it lacks depth but it's still improved.
2) As for Daboll let's start with the fact that the team although 2 - 13 right now with a good kicker not missing time the team is at least 5 - 10 and possibly 7 - 8. With a decent QB they may even be sitting at 9 wins right now.
Daboll has coached his ass off getting the most out of Jones adjusting plays calls and doing things to assist bad QBs be competitive. DeVitto won 3 games last year Taylor Won 2 games last year. Lock had them in position to win in Dallas this year and Tim Boyle almost beat the Saints. Daboll has gotten a ton out of terrible QBs give him a talented QB and those games they almost won become Ws
Problem I have w ur assessment. Schoen has forced himself to draft replacements for holes. Ex 1) We didn’t need to draft Tyler Nubin had we signed McKinney. Also, had we signed Julian Love at the affordable deal he got, we could’ve had him and a later draft pick (for safety) instead of Nubin. Ex 2: Schoen keeps drafting Oline and missing, so we have to allocate funds to FA olineman. Ex 3: he’s drafted two 2nd day Tight Ends and practically three if u consider the 3rd traded for Waller. Ex 4: he let go Tyrod and filled the qb room w Drew Lock and DeVito 💀. This dude is an awful gm

I disagree with the assessment of the game lastnight Penix had 0 to do with the Giants losing that game. For as lopsided as the score was. About midway through the second quarter the Giants were on the verge of gong up double digits. Then Lock threw a pick 6 that changed the momentum of the game. All together Lock gave Atlanta 21 of their 34 points. 2 pick 6s and a fumble that setup a TD run. Really it could have and should have been 13 - 7. With a decnt QB the Giants probably win that game by double digits with no other changed to the roster.
Whoever is evaluating their FA & collegiate talent has to go. Whoever is responsible for their on-field-product, has to go

I'm sorry Alex but I have to disagree with something you said. "Someone has to pay for letting 2 of your best players leave". I know that's a reference to Barkley and McKinney. The giants have so many holes, we can't pay top of the market for a safety and a RB now. You can spend money on those positions as cherry on top type of acquisitions. Look who signed those players teams that have tons of talent and those guys put them over the top. We need to build out our lines. Build inside out. We are so far away from adding players like that to big contracts!
