    Endurance training can feel like a lot so I always like to listen to an audiobook while I do endurance drills. Is there something you do while training to get more out of your training?

    I started climbing about a year ago as a way to blow off some steam after work and because my kids wanted to try it out and now we're all hooked. It's nice to be able to find my zen place while on a wall and unable to worry about anything except not falling. I'm in my 50's, so I'm a bit old to begin a demanding sport like this, but I've been able to advance in difficulty a bit and (so far) haven't gotten hurt. I love you videos, they offer really good advice for those of us who aren't sending a couple of V5's as a warm up. Thanks!

    Huh, I've never seen a lattice board. The gyms I've climbed at have had Moon and Kilter boards.

      Lattice boards are in most of the gyms near me so I thought they were more common but your comment proves that they may not be as popular as I thought. Its worth trying if you do see one though

    Nice video, many actual info! You have beautiful voice, keep doing videos)
    I have never seen lattice board like this, and I live in Moscow. Biggest struggle for me is to train constantly.
    It is challenging due to the big distance between my home and climbing gym ((
    Every training session lasts for 3-4 hours, and 2 hours I spend in transport. It means 5-6 hours in total just for climbing day.

      Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It sounds like you are committed to improving and that will go a long way - good luck!

    Just found your videos so far finding them full of useful info. I've been burnt out and thinking maybe I go too often or too hard but taking days off seems to put me back to square one. Any recovery videos yet? I can get an occasional v3. Looking to improve my technique and skills to be more consistent on them and tackle the v4 and v5. I haven't seen a lattice board before either will have to check at climbing gyms around me. Thanks for the tips.

    Biggest struggle is power! I'm working on kilterboarding and campus board to improve this at the moment, but I don't really know how to use the kilterboard most effectively for this. It's nice to have a focus though. P.S. so nice to see a woman leading a climbing video, that's what made me click :) I feel like female climbers can have different struggles at different points of their climbing so it's just nice! Great video, subbed.

      When I'm done with my endurance training, I'm spending some time on power because that is a struggle for me too! I'm not as familiar with the Kilterboard but if I get access to one, I'll be sure to research the crap out of it and make videos about it for you. And thanks for the sub! Hopefully, more women will get into climbing and then we can all teach each other :)

    Never used a lattice board or a moon board. My gym has a rotating wall too. I've always been nervous about entering the training area in my local gym. I'm climbing at V3 and thought these were for climbers at much higher grades than me. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on whether this would help at lower grades, and any hints and tips you may have. Love your vids, keep up the good work :)

      I felt the same way about the training area. The lattice board is great for V3s and higher though I’d make it as up-right as possible. And be patient with yourself - it takes time to get used to.
      The moon board is a different story - maybe I haven’t been trying the correct routes for my skill level but I find the moon board to be super difficult so maybe hold off on that one for a little bit.
      As for the rotating wall, I’ve always wanted to try one but haven’t found any near me. Because I don’t actually know, I don’t want to give you recommendations that end up being totally wrong. -maybe someone else here can comment?

    my biguest strugle is proper foot technique I feel so insequire on poor holds that I HAVE to have a good had or I am unable to move up or find it really hard mentally. That is why I strugle with 6a :_(

    • @SendEdition
      @SendEdition  3 роки тому

      That is a totally understandable struggle and more common than you may think. Have you tried any footwork drills or practiced different movements on larger footholds?

    My biggest struggle rn is my home gym isn't open due to covid. It's been closed for (just a few days shy) a month and now it will not reopen until the 27th at the earliest. So instead of going 3-4 times a week, I now only go on the weekends (it's hard because I am a teacher and I'm exhausted after a weekday). I can already tell I'm loosing skill an I'm scared I'll drop down a few grades by the time I get back to a normal 3-4 visit sched when my home gym re-opens

      I can completely empathize with you! I ended up loosing a lot of progress when I went back to the gym after they reopened but I was happy to learn that getting back that progress was MUCH easier than learning and gaining that progress in the first place. You got this! and I wish you the best of luck and health to you - thanks for your comment :)

    In all videos for climbing training are shown equipments which aren't in my country at all 🤣 and probably nowbody have seen it .

    • @SendEdition
      @SendEdition  3 роки тому

      Well what equipment do you have? I'm considering making another training video so I could try and stick with whatever you have at your local climbing gym :) Also, you might be interested in my video about training for strength as that is all on climbing walls and doesn't have any drills with additional equipment

    Why Lattice board??? It's extremely rare in gyms. Can't you suggest something more popular?
