So yes the Huayra ( Zonda too ) have a Mercedes AMG engine. But in the R and the Huayra R, this is not a Mercedes AMG engine but the GT112 engine from the Mercedes CLK GTR
@@off__bl4ck no, only the zonda 7.3 has the clk gtr engine, the R is a 6.0 based on a N/A version of the v12 from the huayra and the huayra R use a v12 from mercedes but not from AMG.
Both some of the best sounding cars ever made, with their own touch.
Zonda R sounds more savage and raw.
Huayra R sounds more "refinded" in the acoustically tuned sense.
Even though both engines rev out to 9000-ish rpm, the Huayra sounds much more high-pitched, akin to a small displacement F1 engine compared to the Zonda which has a more LMP kinda vibe to it.
Both awesome and can never have enough of!
Both engines are 6.0 litres. Zonda R/Revolucion - 7500/8000rpm

The Huayra R sounds more "efficient", like the sound it makes is just the product of the power it makes. But the Zonda R sound is like the by-product of a lot of small cylinders moving their balls off like small f1 engines.

I can't believe they sound this different. Zonda R, just sounds so much more coarse, and more raw.
Both are masterpieces, but I genuinely prefer the Huayra R, just the design is so much cleaner, also it sounds even more like a F1 V12... still love both a lot!!

I love how Zonda R and Huayra R are so distinct in terms of overall character; the more I look into the little details, the more I appreciate both. Others before me have pointed it out, but I say we celebrate both of these automotive masterpieces. All due props to Mr. Pagani for crafting these amazing pieces of machinery!

I would go with the Huayra R. One of the greatest sounding exhaust notes in history. It sounds so refined and F1 car like. Absolute eargasm.

I love both but the Zonda R just got my heart, it is so loud and agressive and those shift sounds are incredible. However I do love that high pitch scream from the Huayra R too

The Zonda is a little deeper, more raw, pissed off at idle to low rpm. The Huayra is a little more high strung, formula 1 like sound (not the neutered current f1 sound, don't get it twisted). I have to go with my gut, Zonda ftw.
ive honestly always held this exact same opinion in regards to the particular sounds the zonda and huayra produce, however this is no discredit to the Huayra R at all, it is easily the 2nd best sounding car on my list

Tbh they just sound almost the same is just that zonda is aggressive while huayra is more like high pitch which based on wat he said so can't disagree on that

The Zonda R, any day. Listen closely and you can distinctly tell that the Zonda R has that trademark V12 "wail" that just tugs at your emotions. I think that's that people mean when they're talking about cars with "soul" and "passion".
The Huayra just sounds... "angry". For lack of a better description. But by the automotive gods I can listen to both all day. A sublime symphony of cylinders and fiery exhausts.
That's interesting. I usually refer to the Zonda R as the angriest sounding car I've ever heard. I mean it sounds fully enraged. The Huayra R sounds more like a high strung, refined symphony.

Huayra R for looks, both sound really good!
I prefer the Zonda. It perfectly represents the past and the present. Brutally roaring and snarling, but it's also harmonic and smooth. You can hear all the cylinders. You can hear a 4-cylinder, a V6, V8, and a V10, making up the V12. You can just hear all of them.

I love both of the cars the huayra r sounds like a F1 while the zonda r sounds like an in-game 2019 f1 car(correct me if im wrong) but id have to go with the huayra r its just much cleaner and a bone chilling scream to it makes it perfect and the design is really clean

They are the same. Same engine only minor tweaks.
Wrong, zonda r was based by the clk gtr engine while huayra r is came from the brand new engine from hwa of mercedes motorsport.

Zonda kind of sounds like a slightly lower revving version of the early 90s v12 f1 cars like the Ferrari 641. The Huayra sounds totally unique in it's actual engine note, but the way it downshifts i think shares some similarities with the V10 F1 cars. Both amazing in their own rights

Huayra R is far better sounding overall, but the Zonda sounds better on downshifts tho
This is the real engine which supposed to be in the amg one hypercar but because they went hybrid it's a v6 but this is better

I would say for my own that the Zonda sounds more aggressive, but Huaya sounds more like an elegant high pitched V10 imo
