Hi Joshua. Thanks for the review. The bit on the back of the milk jug located under the ''lock'' and ''unlock'' icons can be removed for cleaning. I call it the steam connector. If you rotate it as far as you can toward the ''unlock'' icon, it can be pulled out of its housing on the jug. After you have cleaned off any milk build up on it or in the housing, you push it back into the jug and then rotate it to the ''lock'' position. It's not a big movement. The machine will operate with this connector in either position. But, if you leave it in the ''unlock'' position, after a bit of use, the connector will sometimes not come away with the jug and remain on the machine proper. That's how I discovered what I have written here. Thanks again and cheers all.
Thank you so very much for posting this video 🙏 The Instructions had me so confused I was about to return it! Thanks to you I'm now sitting here enjoying a lovely coffee ☕☕☕ You're a Legend 👍
Goddamn, THANK YOU. The instructions the coffee machine came with made hardly any sense. Just made a coffee using your instructions in this video. Good bloody coffee! Thanks, man!
Thanks for your review. I went and purchased one too. The instruction manual wasn't nearly as helpful as your video in helping me to use the machine! Did you ever work out what the lock switch was for?
Hi thanks im glad i could help, the lock as far as i can gather is for cleaning the milk out of the lid and locks back in to seal and pressurise the container
i just bought one today and the only thing i can see the lock being for is to lock the nozzle/funnel thing in place on the back of the milk frother. the pin rotated a little while i was testing it and the container wasnt fitting back in properly.
Thanks for your comment, it all depends on the beans your using, I started with mine on the finest setting then made a coffee to test it and just went up in increments until I got the taste I wanted
First of all thanks for the video. Learnt more than instructions. On my machine when I press and hold the espresso machine it still stops after a while, is it meant to carry on until you press the button again or still stop on its own?
Hey wonderful video, i ve been purchased from poland 3 years ago and still working good. My only concern is i never make descale of this machine since on the manual don’t say anything about how to descale. Could you advice how to make descale?
Thanks for the review, the handle locks in place, but the water flow is just a trickle when making espresso, your video shows a decent flow. Any tips? Thanks
Water flow all comes down to your coffee grind, if it is to fine and you tamp it , it becomes more restrictive, try making your grounds a bit more coarse and you should be fine
Hi Joshua. I got the same machine for 2 months. I used couple times but now when I want to do any Coffe it’s dripping doesn’t come out properly the Coffe and it’s take ages to do a Coffe. Thank you
Sorry for the late question, but I just saw the video. Do you happen to know what type is the heating element inside the machine? Is it like a single boiler or a thermoblock? Thanks!
Thanks heaps for this very helpful vid man....a couple of things with this machine (which I have just bought)...do you need to "prime the unit" each time before you use it? and do you store the whole milk reservoir unit (including lid) in the fridge or has the lid got electrical elements in it so keep lid out of the fridge?....thanks again really appreciate the assistance
Hey mate thanks, I tend to prime it a little before every use just because it helps get a better extraction from the coffee and I store the whole milk unit in the fridge as it doesn't have any electrical components :)
Hi There. Thanks for the video. We bought it a few days ago and we can't get the espresso yet. It looks like don't suck from the water tank, so The hot water didn't comes into the bucket. If someone knows How can I solve this problem. It would be helpful. Cheers
Hey, I have a the same machine, but branded differently. You can use it to get hot water, but it will take a few button presses. The espresso button pressed twice will give you a double shot of espresso. WIthout coffee in the porta filter, its just hot water that comes through. I use it to get lungo, or an americano depending on how I'm feeling.
Hi Josh, I feel the milk is too frothy even though I turned it to the least foam function. I am also like you. I do the espresso first and then press cappuccino function for more than 3 seconds to control the amount of the milk .Do you know how to make sure the milk is not.too frothy ?
@@snitchen thanks Josh for.your fast reply. So the symbol is not representing the foam is actually amount of milk . Going to the right to the three droplets symbol means more milk less froth yea? Cuz in the manual , it was explained the opposite re : preparing latte : turn the knob to the right for more foam and to the left for less foam . Your video is so much better than the manual.
@@jessicalien7546 I usually have it set to just below half to the right, I also sometimes adjust it while it's pouring, for example I start further to the left then adjust to the right mid poor
Anyone can help me ... I lost the basket inside the handle.. both ( single and doble) where can I buy a new one ? And what is the specification or size ?? Thanks
Most baskets should fit it you will just need to check the size of the handle to make sure you get the right size, catch.com has them I'm pretty sure but you could also go to coffee Roasters that have stores and take the handle with you so you can get the right one
Hi josh , my coffee machine has two lights blinking the espresso and latte . This happens when I ran out of water in the water container.do you know how to fix it ? I added water and waited and they are still blinking and switched off the machine and the two lights are still blinking.
@@markhelbig7244 oh my god thank you!! we thought we had a dud machine, exchanged it same problem so thank you!! we are now enjoying delicious coffee XD
I bought this one today from kmart and milk frothier does not seem to work, i can see the steam coming out of frothing tube but not the milk. Any one know whats the problem? Or i will return in tomorrow. TIA.
My first one wouldn't seal after the first month, so i returned it and got another. This one started to do the same thing, but found if i gently push both the top of milk dispenser lever and the bottom, towards the back of the machine.. it gets it back on track

The metal tube also unlocks on the milk dispenser for cleaning and the rubber bit on top opens for the same thing. None of which is in the manual
This made 100% more sense than the instructions. Thank you
It’s been three years following the instructions manual and tell you what it tasted horrible ,you made my whole winter wonderful
Thanks, I hoped this video would help people as when I went to buy it I couldn't find any reviews:)

it made a lot of the instructions clearer and gave me more insight on how to operate the machine.

My best purchase ever... was $40 NZD and its been making amazing drinks for the last 4 years!!! I FKG LOVE IT
I bought one too, it is eerily similar to the Sunbeam EM5000 aka Mr Coffee Cafe Barista.
For $129 I think it works pretty well.

My milk tank is stuck to the machine and it's not coming off. What do I do? Can someone pls help?
Some pressure needs to be used to pull it right out. We were scared it may break it but thats the only way to get it detached.
Thank you for this comment 👍🏻

I was looking into buying one bit just wondering does the coffee and milk come out hot or lukewarm?
both the coffee and milk come out hot. for $129 you cant go wrong, unless its broken. lol
Yer it comes out hot enough that you don't need to nuke it in the microwave unlike my in-laws $1500 machine that doesn't come out hot enouh
I find i need to pre heat the cup, then it's fine
hi joshua ... there is a water leakage in expresso unit ... do you know how to fix it

My milk was not foamy enough, the knob was already at the right side. 😭
Sorry I think I made a mistake on that part, I think it's more foamy to the left
Thank you, I'm to lazy to read the instructions
My waters not coming out PLEASE HELP I have no idea lol
