you should time the extraction for a precise espresso, and you should use freshly fine grind coffee to get a more silky texture that espressos have

I had one and it lasted for just over 3 years before it started to leak from the steamer wand while I was making coffee. Probably repairable with a gasket or something but considering it only cost about $89, I think that's pretty good!

Yo is there a reason you didn't use true espresso grounds? Your grind is particularly coarse, even coarser than an aeropress... Does this machine not pull true espresso? If so it seems like more of a convoluted black coffee maker and definitely not worth the purchase if in the market for genuine espresso.

I have the Ikohs version of this machine and I use espresso from Lavazza, Segafredo, and Illy and they all give a ton of creamy foam. The shot in the video looked wrong on many levels.

Thanks for the feedback, some of these comments have been pretty good tips. The best one so far was to wait till the light goes green then attach the grounds. After doing this the coffee doesn't get burned anymore. Also using the back of the scooper to press the grounds flat has helped too. This machine actually died on me after 1.5 years so I just bought another one. I'm much more advanced with it now.

Hey bro I’ll just tell you a few little tips which I’m sure you will find out as you get more into it. I’m not a pro but I’ve had other people tell me these and it helps a lot!!
    1. Always run some water through the machine for a few seconds before doing the shot (this will insure your shot won’t be burnt)
    2. Use much finer coffee grinds and preferably fresh coffee from a cafe that roasts there own beans (it’s actually hardly more expensive than supermarket coffee). Also fill your basket a lot more, you really want to fill it right to the top.
    3. Once you put the portafilter in the machine run the shot straightway because you seemed to wait along time (maybe you did that because you were videoing at the same time!)
    4. Watch some videos on the milk steaming because it’s very difficult to explain and learn.
I hope these are helpful. Thanks

That's not a review, but a sort of unpacking. It does not even mention that it comes with a pressure basket (for better espresso use a non pressure basket, fresh coffee, a very good coffee grinder, usually more expensive than this machine, which sells in Germany at 50 Euro, and a tamper).

@@Hypocrisybuster1 I am no specialist. Don't buy cheap. Don't trust Amazon customer's reviews. Check espresso forums!
And the pressure baskets like on this machine are for making a fake crema, so the machines which have them are fake espresso machines. They work like the thingies which are screwed to the water taps, to mix air with water. A good crema is only an indikator, that everything, from the espresso beans to the grinder to the pressure to the temperature is perfect. The crema is nothing you want to make for itself; it looks fine but with a "slurp" it's gone.
I do not want to spend many hundred of Euros/Dollars for a perfect expresso machine. So I tried several very cheap ones like the above and they were not worth the money, either, or even they exploded when I operated them incorrect (but I do not want household items which are dangerous if I make the tiniest error), damaging my kitchen and scalding my hand.

It's probably just some chinese, generic coffee maker. It's also available as Raven, Swan, Zilan and probably many other brand names. I just ordered it, because I found it for $20 and I also bought some cheap $40 burr coffee grinder. I won't be able to even properly grind coffee, because what this grinder produces looks like medium grind and it's not very equal grind. Another comment suggest that this "espresso machine" has pressurized basket, which makes sense with that price, so it won't even prepare actual espresso, but it's actually better for low budget and cheap grinder. I may eventually buy proper espresso machine, but something like Lelit Anita with grinder is at least $600-650 and you can't really get much lower than that, if you want true espresso. For now I just want something to make flat white for fraction of that price.
