    I got myself a Moka pot for a strong brew and I also got me one of them frothers (small cafetiere with a dual mesh that goes all the way down, essentially optimized for frothing milk) - gonna try your method, just with different kit. Can't wait! Started grinding fresh beans just before brewing - the difference it makes is fantastic!

    i have a few questions (sorry if my english is quite bad)
    1- your “espresso” that you made using the press look so watery but then when it comes to the end, it look thick and have crema on it. how do you get the crema using the press?
    2- what about the temperature of the milk when u heat it using the microwave for a minute? i dont think it reaches 63-67 celsius
    3- look at minute 5:30 you take off the plunger and at 5:35 the plunger is there. how?

    as far as i know Espresso losses this crema color if you let it stay for a while. so you finished the espresso then waited 1 minute for the microwave then you pumped the milk or what ever you did there and the black espresso becomes beautiful crema as you just made it a minute ago from an espresso mashine. Am i wrong?

    • @futuremcguives1471

      It's mostly fake due to movie magic. I for one heat up the milk while the espresso is brewing, serve the shot, rinse my press, then throw in the milk. Gotta be quick af which is not easy when using one press and it will never be as good as an espresso machine, but don't let that stop you attempting this

    How did your coffee look so nice and creamy even though you let it sit out for so long? Usually you have to serve the coffee within 30/50 seconds otherwise it will go bad. You either made more coffee(which I don't believe, because the coffee that you made was different) or you made an actual espresso with a machine.

      He pulled an actual shot. This video is fake. The frothing is real though. You can get a decent foam from french press.

    Put milk in a jar about a quarter way up, shake 30 seconds, put in microwave 30 seconds, hold back foam with spoon pour milk into espresso, and spoon forth on top of espresso

    Use an Areopress for an even better coffee. Since getting my Areopress at Christmas, I haven't used any other method to make coffee. Best present I've ever had.

      Aeropress inventor is a genius.
      If you ever try a Geisha coffee the Aeropress is the perfect brewer for it.

    • @westhulltiger
      @westhulltiger 6 років тому

      maria I wrong. Aeropress still had a muddied taste. The only real method for Geisha is a V60. Clean and crisp.

    • @AndyGait
      @AndyGait 6 років тому

      If you're getting a muddy taste maybe your grind is too fine? Also, are you using paper or metal filters? Metal filters aren't as fine and allow some grinds to get through.

    • @westhulltiger
      @westhulltiger 6 років тому

      Andy Gait Grind is perfect, paper filters used. Compared to a V60 an aeropress can't compete for delicate flavours.

      @AndyGait 6 років тому

      Gareth Lent Owning both I'm not sure I'd agree with you there. I find a lot depends on the beans, and the type of coffee you want. I've never had great success with the v60 with dark roasts, and if making an espresso type shot, the Aeropress wins hands down for me.
      But both are great bits of kit, I guess it depends what you want to do with them.

    One question though. The espresso shot you made earlier has no creama. Why saddlely it has creama in the cup before you pour the milk in?

  • @bobbie2150
    @bobbie2150 4 роки тому

    Did the milk just go up in volume from after using the french press? I know its possible to get quality foam using french press but this just looks over-frothed (over 80% foam) using the machine @05:18 - @05:21
