Thank you so much for just showing how it's done. I hate youtube videos that are 1 minute of instruction and 9 minutes of the youtuber loving the sound of their own voice.
I am a UA-camr 😂 n I whole heartedly agree with you, on instruction videos ppl just wanna see how to do it, they don't need the 10 mins of fluff, 😂😂 Today I'm gonna talk for 22 min to show you how to tie a 30 sec knot, so come back after the intro n click for part 2 😂😂
I've been using this knot for most of my life and never thought to use my finger like that for leverage. Amazing what you can learn on random youtube videos :)
Thank you for a reasonable knot video! I gave up on an 11 minute video earlier that touted the fastest way to tie on a rooster tails after 6 minutes and they still hadn't even brought out a lure! I plan to now go through your playlists.
Helpful tip every man should know... Spit on it! Seriously, get spit on the line where knotting to lubricate it so as to avoid some of the friction on the line when tying a not. More of a factor for monofilament, but i still do it when using braided line anyways.
I've watched few videos, this is the best knot you show us in Red color and black background which makes it easy to see how you tie it. I will use your method. First time fishing lol. Thank you
That's dope! I'm learning more knots and getting better. I used to be lazy and not pay attention to when friends would show me, but this video made it really easy.
Don't know if you will find a doctorate course but there is a mathematical study of knots called Knot Theory. It is a serious field of study and falls into the field of topography.
The knotless knot. Great for boilies/pellets it you loop the tag end. Great for other fish when feeder fishing or float fishing. Gives the hook a more aggressive hooking angle.
I was looking at DIY Kayak sail video's, this caught my attention. This knot is similar to a knot my Mom taught me for sewing. Have a granddaughter who loves to fish. Sharing this video with her. ¥
Great tutorial and a great knot, my grandfather, father and myself for the last 50yrs have used this knot. One thing to be careful with is when using quality bait holder hooks with the 2 prongs on the spine that you don’t start to tighten early or the loops might cut on the prongs.

Very well done video. We called that a blood knot, but when we tried it on a stress tester (this was way back in the 80s) it didn't do as well as the knot we called Palomar which was also simple and elegant. Important to wet the line when tightening as well since frictive forces weaken the material during tightening.
I tie the polamor knot it's easier for me and is a 95 per cent strength knot. ( I have had surgery on both hands so I use the easiest knot I can find) Enjoyed your video.😊😊
I only have three basic knots. What when first learned was a trilene knot for leads and hooks and a butterfly knot for multiple droppers , and lastbut not least a blood knot for tippets to fly line .they serve me well .
For me it’s the Palomar for Carolina Rigs and Spinners, SD Jam Knot for lures of any kind, and a basic Clinch knot for any suspended or separated weights.
I basically only use Loop knot for lures, and for any hook with live bait palomar and sometimes when i really need to be quick ill just do a clinch knot
Thanks for this. I have occasionally bought pre-rigged bait chasers that are tied with this knot and I always wondered how to do it. It seems ideal for the suicide hooks with the offset eye.
I have been doing this knot since I was 6 years old. My dad tough me the knot, he called it a shark knot. LOL it is a good knot and it is fast knot to make. I forgot to mention I am 61 years old.
Лайк за интересный вариант вязания "Японского узла для крючков с лопаткой"! Но для крючков с колечком, мне больше нравится "Узел Куликова", который выдерживает нагрузку до 100% и при этом повышает уловистость крючка.
Always wet your knots before pulling tight, and another great tip is blob the tag end by burning for a second with a lighter, the blob forms as another great back up should you not slip at all what so ever. As for being a boilie knot, it isnt really a hair rig as you go back through the eye with this but its a good knot for rigs if you use swivels or rings for boilie attachment to the hook, good video, just searching some for my little son, as I think him watching them rather than me telling helps a lot as I tend to just do my various rigs and knots to fast when I show him but expect him to have seen lol
Great job. Brings warm memories of when my son lumbroscwas little lije 8 years old and I had him tie hundreds of walleye garness rigs and packaged them professionally we used this knot with #4 French silver blade and blue beads. The lure could out fish everything 5 to 1 on lake st Clair. Michigan. I was good to my boy. He won biggest fish 11pounds 5 ounce walleye in a tournament for the youth division of the prestigious lake st. Clair walleye association. It was a very warm and fuzzy moment for me as I prided being a #1 Husband, Father and Family Man. Thankyou, Jesus. Go fishing its fun and walleyes taste great and they are good for you plus the memories you make last a lifetime. Thankyou Jesus!!! Here Fishey, Fishey , Fishey, Fishey, Fishey!!!!! Fishey!!!!!
Fantastic video. Thanks for not spending 5 min explaining how you are just making a "quick" video! Nice background music as well. Good quality, clear precise instruction. I don't even fish... and don't know how I ended up here but you should teach "How to make a proper instructional video" classes! I might note that 1A Auto does an excellent job with theirs as well... but few do.
Easier is to pinch the line and push the loop through the eye of the hook, then wrap the tag end around the hook and the loop a bunch of times, pass the tag end through the loop and pull the main line till tight
Этот узел проще вяжется, сначала леску вдоль цевья, потом разворачивается на 180, оставляется петелька, наматывается вокруг цевья несколько оборотов,кончик в петельку и затянуть

@@2StansFishing I completely understand it, longer run times means more ad revenue, don't blame them at all, but it still infuriates me. lol
I hate that too.
Spot on
Great video, I am going to try this knot right now. I wish everyone kept their how-to videos this short and to the point
Thanks you 🙏
@@FISHINGknotsura I just subscribed and will need to binge watch all your videos, great stuff, thanks
This has to be one of the best fishing knot videos on UA-cam. Simple but functional.and strait to the point.
I've been using this knot for most of my life and never thought to use my finger like that for leverage. Amazing what you can learn on random youtube videos :)
I’m pretty much the same but mine is the other way up with the part you snip off is above the eye, it’s basically a hangman’s knot.
@@PiperX1Xl
Works great for holding bait at the eye freeing up the hook.
I use it at work pulling cable - fishing- tree cutting✌🇺🇸😎
I mostly use a palomar knot but I will give this a try. Thanks from New Orleans 🎣
Lifetime palomar guy here.
Palomar knot is the strongest, Snell knots are weak

Thanks you 👍👍👍👍
This basically is the snell knot but the easier version 😄 Nice!!
It's also a figure of 8 but on the shank
Snelling a hook ain't hard....
This isn't a snell knot. Snell knot you wrap around the hook and 2 main lines (doubled back) then put the tag end through the loop on hook side
Fantastic. Also that fishing line ain't shabby either. Respect and love for this tutorial thanks.
That's dope! I'm learning more knots and getting better. I used to be lazy and not pay attention to when friends would show me, but this video made it really easy.
I love that every knot that I've learned is the only one EVERY angler needs. lmao

Simple and straight to the point. 👍🏻👍🏻
Such a better/faster & easier way of tying a snell. Can’t wait to try it!
The best tutorial I ever watched, thank you

Just a simpler and more efficient way to snell. Nice work 👌

Excellent tutorial.I think there should be a doctorate course in knotology.Such a useful skill.

Get a book called "The Ashley Book of Knots."
Also what is a "knot doctor," is that like a sailor that only knows knots?
Yes. NOT knowing how to tie the KNOT correctly led to decades of misery.

Terrible knot. Only goes through the eyelet once, and its wedged against the sharp edge of the eyelet opening.
@@forestcityfishing4749 good point about sharp edge
@ForestCity Fishing excellent for straight shank welded eye hooks though, I'm sold.

Looks like the Snell knot. But a much easier approach :))
Easier is to pinch the line and push the loop through the eye of the hook, then wrap the tag end around the hook and the loop a bunch of times, pass the tag end through the loop and pull the main line till tight
I put a single knot in the straggle end to prevent slip through and allow a tidy snip off.
The knot I learned in the 90's and passed on to many when I worked for a sporting goods store.
Этот узел проще вяжется, сначала леску вдоль цевья, потом разворачивается на 180, оставляется петелька, наматывается вокруг цевья несколько оборотов,кончик в петельку и затянуть
