Helpful tip every man should know... Spit on it! Seriously, get spit on the line where knotting to lubricate it so as to avoid some of the friction on the line when tying a not. More of a factor for monofilament, but i still do it when using braided line anyways.

    Very well done video.
We called that a blood knot, but when we tried it on a stress tester (this was way back in the 80s) it didn't do as well as the knot we called Palomar which was also simple and elegant. Important to wet the line when tightening as well since frictive forces weaken the material during tightening.

Always wet your knots before pulling tight, and another great tip is blob the tag end by burning for a second with a lighter, the blob forms as another great back up should you not slip at all what so ever. As for being a boilie knot, it isnt really a hair rig as you go back through the eye with this but its a good knot for rigs if you use swivels or rings for boilie attachment to the hook, good video, just searching some for my little son, as I think him watching them rather than me telling helps a lot as I tend to just do my various rigs and knots to fast when I show him but expect him to have seen lol

Brings warm memories of when my son lumbroscwas little lije 8 years old and I had him tie hundreds of walleye garness rigs and packaged them professionally we used this knot with #4 French silver blade and blue beads. The lure could out fish everything 5 to 1 on lake st Clair. Michigan.
I was good to my boy.
He won biggest fish 11pounds 5 ounce walleye in a tournament for the youth division of the prestigious lake st. Clair walleye association. It was a very warm and fuzzy moment for me as I prided being a #1 Husband, Father and Family Man. Thankyou, Jesus. Go fishing its fun and walleyes taste great and they are good for you plus the memories you make last a lifetime. Thankyou Jesus!!!
