You’ve taught me so much about Pecron and influenced my purchase of the E600lfp I’m saving up to get the 1500 and hopefully to get to where you’re at some day soon. I have built a home solar system with 400ah worth of batteries but it’s permanent and I like the portable power so much better with portable panels. I wish I found your channel before I found will prowse or I would have definitely went 100% with Pecron.

Hi Rambling Bob, you asked what E1500LFP owners were getting for final voltage. After a full charge topping off and settling for 6 hours with AC in connected, the E1500 readout shows 53.4 volts. The app shows 53.7 on the E1500 and 53.6 on the EP3000.

With wifi you can turn the power station off from your phone by going to output and turning dc off. And it once it’s off it will still be connected through wifi which is a cool feature in my opinion because if you’re using solar and the power station isn’t in your room you can just open up the app and turn it on from your phone in your room. Awesome feature and will come in handy for a lot of people.

Hey Bob, my EP3000 battery arrived a few days behind my 1500LFP, which I had already charged to 100%. To get it within 10% as the manual says, I then used the charge brick from my 600LFP to charge the 3000 battery to full before I connected the cable between them. Ive not toyed with the App and likely won''t.

Hey Bob- Just a comment about Pecron App using wi fi. I think to initially set up the app it must be connected to your wi-fi. Once the app is working just go into your phone setting and deny wi fi access. for the Pecron APP. I turned off all Pecron access to camera, wi-fi , Locations, ETC. It just needs to be connected to blue tooth and maybe push notifications. My app works fine with these selections . Hope this helps.

Hi Ramblin Bob, I am currently testing my new E1500 and EP3000 combo. I'm disappointed that after running from 100% to 1% my power meter shows I used only 3504w of the 4602w the two units store. It was a 15 hour test at an avg. of 233.6/hour. Can you help me connect the dots here?

Did you set the serial number on the EP3000 battery?
We are still running capacity tests for the full system (7,690wh) and we are getting 90% or more right now with a 100-200 watt draw on ours.
That is only apx 75% capacity......hmmmm
You should be getting around (3900wh to 4200wh) (85% to 90%) according to our tests. What device are you using to measure the watt hours? a kill-o-watt meter?

I would try another test just for verification. Did you change anything in the hidden menu or settings in the app?

Also, Do you have the battery set to a different number other than "0"
We are not sure, but we think that "0" is reserved for the e1500lfp and not the batteries

Still waiting for my EP3000 so I can't yet comment on both units together but you will never get 100% out. The inverter on the 1500 uses about 31 watts in addition to whatever you were running. That would only account for half of the difference but if you had a large load and the fans were running that may have used additional battery. Was DC also turned on? What was the screen brightness? Was the wifi on?

note: Shipping is never covered by any companies warranties unless they choose to pay for it :(

Hi Rambling Bob, thank you for your videos. They are very clear and thorough.; your excellent review is one of the reasons I bought this unit. I just don't like the idea of receiving a defective unit and then spending more time and money to make it right. Shouldn't these companies be responsible for sending you a working unit you purchased. And, if not, then shouldn't they be responsible to making it it right? Just because a lot of other companies are doing it, does it make it right? Also, for the sake of transparency, shouldn't the warranty policies of these companies be clearly disclosed.
Out of curiosity, did you purchase these units yourself or did you receive these units from the company for reviews? If the later, then how can you be sure that your unit is representative of the units they are selling and not a selective set used for youtube reviewers?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  22 дні тому

We Bought the e1500lfp (full 7,500wh system) & e2000lfp (full 8,000wh system) with our own money. and got the e600lfp & e300lfp free from pecron because we spent so much over the last 2 years. (we always mention this in our videos)
We do NOT work for pecron, bluetti, vtoman, nurzviy, allpowers, milin, oukitel, ecoflow, etc, etc, etc,
      or any other company.
But, maybe we can help you with this. or at least steer you in the right direction to get some help :)
We have helped many people with their power stations over the last couple of years.
(Thousands and thousands of people here on youtube)
*without getting paid for doing this, we just like to help people with this solar stuff if we can)
We have had many people either make a simple mistake and broke their system without knowing it, or just do not fully understand how to use these systems.
We broke one of our small systems when we first started and did not even know that we broke it.
I plugged a solar panel that was too high of voltage (60v) into a power station that could only handle 25v, and burned it out in less than 1 second.....1 flipping second and it was a pile of junk :(
And some people do get defective units right from the companies as well. we did before....
we also received units that were thrown and broken from the UPS & FED-EX delivery drivers
(those videos of this are on the channel)
and we thought it was the companies fault until we saw our security footage :(
      ua-cam.com/video/xSUzmReRumU/v-deo.html
So it is not always the companies fault with a product and sometimes it is.
It is "EXTREMELY" easy to break one of these power stations without knowing it :(
      1. hooking up the wrong solar panel
      2. charging something the wrong way
      3. using the power the wrong way
      4. wrong settings in the firmware
      5. wrong cables
      6. wrong cord
      7. popped the fuse and didn't know it
      8. short in a cord of what you plugged in
      9. wrong setting in the app
      10. letting the system get too hot
      11. using a system in the wrong way
      12. etc, etc, etc...
Either way, we always try to help as many people as we can in learning about these things, so we can all enjoy our new hobby together as a scriber family.
Because nobody was there to help us after we spent thousands of dollars on this stuff over the last couple of years. and we had to learn ourselves on most problems or questions.
We even started a database and this channel to try to help more viewers understand that changes will and have been made to almost every single power station made by every company out there or that it was so easy to break one of these things without knowing it.
So when a company changes something, we always try our best to get that information out there the best we can to let people know before they buy it or after they buy it.
Our database to help people with pecron power stations specs and changes is located here....
      buymeacoffee.com/ramblinbob/pecron-solar-power
What is defective on your unit?
What does it do or not do?
Did you plug something in the wrong way, or was it defective right out of the box?
Maybe we can help, Did you talk to the pecron about it yet?
Most of the time, if you just tell these companies something like.....
I need you to send me a exchange/return shipping label so you can replace your mistake...
(Just be firm with these companies without yelling)
I remember when oukitel said that we had to pay $100 (x2) to ship 2 power stations back to them, and we were shocked also, that is also why we mention that story many times in videos on youtube and try to help as many people as I can before they buy anything from any company.
Plus, If a company ever sends a power station to a youtube person, they usually get the 1st generation or even pre-production units.
(Those are the ones with the most mistakes or problems because they are still working the bugs out, that is why the send them to youtubers to test & review)
So when they find a problem, that company can fix it before the next run is made.
DIY with will prose & Jasonoid & Hobotech are awesome at finding problems with this technology and teaching us many things about solar power.
(we watch them everyday to learn more & more)
BUT, The biggest difference between us and a lot of other youtube channels is....
We do not make commercials. we are just average people who are trying
out this technology in real time.
And we are brutal when it comes to something we do not like. We have made some of these companies change their products for the better, because of our harsh reviews and complaints.
That is why my videos are SOOOOO long. We are learning this technology in real time in every video. and make many mistakes along the way.

    • @CJ-eq9hh
      @CJ-eq9hh 22 дні тому

Hey Ramblin Bob, so glad to hear you are testing production versions. Makes me appreciate your videos even more.
I am trying to understand the business/warranty practices of these companies and their youtube review policies. If they sent you a unit with problems/defects, they can always chalk it up as pre-production problems. Surely, they don't expect you to send it back for repair at your expense. If some defect make it through in production, Pecron do expect the consumer who paid for the unit, to return it at their own expense for them to correct the problem.
You mentioned pre-production versions, they can ofcourse make changes to correct any problems. But could they not also make changes to the spec (i.e. reduced capacity or performance) prior to production? For the reviewers that received these units directly from the company, could they have received a selected "pre-production" model with diffeent specs?
I do own two of these units, among a few others as well as multiple DIY setups (my hurricane prep). The problem is the two units do not have the same battery capacity. The problem one also has an inverter that would not work above 1500w. I changed the fuse per your advice, and it doesn't help.
Every production process have some manufacturing defects, how does the company handle their warranty service?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  22 дні тому

You own 2 e1500lfp's with 2 different battery capacities? We have never heard of that before...
Yep, we are still learning as well. every company has their own policy on exchanges & returns (just like amazon, ebay, etc)
As for us reviewing a system, we tell people what we like about it, and what we did not like about it.
that is it. and we only offer our opinions, we are in no way professionals.
we always say that on every video we make in the description.
and we don't work for any of these companies.
(But we also, for free, try to help people enjoy their systems by helping them with any
issues if we can because that is a nice thing to do)
Sometimes, a youtuber will review a product like we did with the e2000lfp and then they changed it to a newer version to include that RV plug. and we did not even know that they did that until a scriber told us that.
They also changed the solar charging specs of the e600lfp fromm 400 watts to only 300 watts. we made a few videos talking about that to let people know. But it is not just pecron, all these companies makes changes to their products and don't make official notices on their websites sometimes :(
So when we find out something has changed, we always try to get that info out there to help people decide if that product is right for them or not. but at the end of the day, we only can review the items that we bought or if somebody sent one to us. again, we do not work for any of these companies.
See, I think the real headache is, all these companies are over seas and have their own policies and they can change them at anytime I think.
But, yes, there are companies that make you pay for returning a products to them. There was even one company (when you read their warranty in the owner's manual) DOES NOT EVEN COVER THE BATTERY IN THE POWER STATION, JUST THE OTHER PARTS OF IT...That was a crazy warranty. the battery is 90% of the cost of the power station.
But, like I said, these are all opinions since we do not work for any of these comapnies, we just like the technology and help people learn about it :)
