    I have this unit that is just a bit smaller and use it fairly often around the property over last year or so. GREAT unit and could not be happier with it. I became a big fan of Pecron.

    I love mine. I have been running my own tests at home with my appliances. Definitely worth the money as a add on to a small generator. No more noisy generator at night and you save alot of gas. 2hrs to charge this with gas alone.

      @Hammondguy88 I have been running my fridge off the pecron which lasts up to 10hrs till its out of juice. The small generator last about 9hrs till empty on a full tank of gas so thats four 2hr charges to the pecron to get 40hrs of run time on 1 gallon of gas. Not including the 400watts of solar panels I have here. So yea this things is DOPE AF for an add on to a small gas generator to extend that gallon of gas in a low light situatuon or stormy days.

      Are you charging he Pecron with a conventional gas generator, or does it require an invertor generator?

    Great review really appreciate you going into so much detail. I now have this unit with the EP3000 and so far it's worked very good for me. HOBOTECH AC capacity was 84% which was average for the industry. It doesn't appear that AC capacity is a strong suit of this unit but as you mentioned for the price it's a really good product.

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  10 місяців тому

      The price is definitely very competitive on this. Overall, it's worth the money spent.

  • @ctprepper69
    @ctprepper69 10 місяців тому +1

    Strange your tests show the AC output in the 80's. Many of the other reviews on this unit were raving about how high it was in the 90's, even better than the DC output. One thing of note that I have seen mentioned is that if you leave the AC power on without even drawing anything the inverter does use a fair amount of power. Worth noting and could skew efficiency numbers. I ordered one that is arriving tomorrow and it will be interesting to see what kind of results I get.

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  10 місяців тому

      AC capacity came in lower than I expected it would. DC was absolutely the best I have tested. Usually, the DC is lower than AC, so it is strange. Please share your results if you get the time. Much appreciated 🙏

    Excellent video, you made easy to understand, answered my questions on buying this unit. I was considering e 2000 but i think i will be purchasing the 1500. I did not like the change to e 2000 with the 30 amp plug and losing two plugs, instead of 6 now it has only 4!

    I have 3 of their e2000's. This unit has a high capacity inverter for the battery size tag that with the extra bells and whistles your capacity wont be as good. I prefer the e2000 but I am more interested in higher solar charging and battery capacity. Not interested in apps at all. The e1500 also has a 5 yr. warranty as well. I have dealt with their customer service via email and was very satisfied. Solar stations are mostly made in China so great customer service is huge and they will make things right for you. Great video really enjoyed it and subscribed!

    I have this same power station on the way. Wondering if you could do a video on adding a non proprietory lipo battery to extend the capacity. Also what size charger to recharge the non proprietory battery. New to your channel and love your information.

    Is it possible if you could try to charge it via solar with 800w panel? Some say it just limits to 700w but I want a confirmation. Also you can hook up another 100w in connection (+700w) to achieve 800w max solar charging.

    First time watching your channel. Great video on the pecron. I'm wondering if it would still run your dc compressor on a load inflating a tire. I'm sure if you made an adapter with the xt60 connector and a 12V cigarette plug or two it definitely would run the dc compressor under load. Would be interesting to know if you could power up to 12V fridge/freezer using a splitter. Thanks for the video.

    Is the unit too loud when charging at a wall outlet? Is there a way to adjust the watts input when charging it from a wall outlet? 1400 watts seem too aggressive to the batteries.

    Hello: Pecron sells a cigarette adapter with alligator clip cable!! What is this cable for? I thought to maybe jump start a car, but they said no, you can't use PowerStations to jump start vehicles! So what is the cable used for. It's not for charging the Pecron units! There is no input for cigarette 12v input for that>> Thanks

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  9 місяців тому

    Any thoughts or ideas for adapting a 90 degree elbow on the 700 Watt solar charging input cable (GX16-5)? Seems like a flimsy connection that sticks straight out & not secure. This is even more of a concern if one is considering using the DC/DC (higher wattage) converter for charging while driving. Also seems like they are running a large amount of current through that GX16-5 plug?
