I purchased a Montana Sapphire ring years ago. It is set in white gold with a diamond halo. It is in a circular pattern with every shade of the blue sapphire. The darkest is in the center and then it circles out to pale and then diamond. It is a beautiful ring.

Great video! I enjoyed learning about gemstones in the USA. However, it seems like there's a notable omission when it comes to California's gem treasures. California boasts the stunning state gemstone, benitoite, which is essentially exclusive to the Golden State (with small amounts found in Baja California, Mexico). Additionally, places like the Ocean View Mine showcase a diverse range of remarkable stones, from tourmalines and aquamarines to even kunzites. It would be fantastic to see a follow-up video highlighting California's rich gemstone contributions. Keep up the good work

I'm glad that I got my 51/2 ct Bixbite when I did. Mined in Utah, cut in India. Now really small stones cost more than what I got it for. Get it when you see it, like you said ❤

I am happy that you all finally talked about *Idaho* star garnet! I sent you all (Rebecca and Bill) an email 2 months ago, after asterism vid...with photos of many ISG gems I've been cutting.... I hope the email/photos ended up getting to you... would love to hear what you think!

I love telling my fellow Idaho rock enthusiasts about how the state gem was changed in 2018. It used to be opal.

YAY!!! Rebecca and Tom! See, this is what I really enjoy. Enthusiasm, stories, education and the chance to buy. But the selling isn't the emphasis. You are awesome. THANKS!

Found a ring, that's big in my opinion. It's called a statement ring. It's real either Ruby and Red beryl or really dark garnet and Ruby's or pink beryl. Way bright , real stones. It's really old. So in my opinion hand carved and it was dipped in gold. I used to live by the sleeping beauty mine outside Globe Az. My dad was a foreman and retired from mining at Sleeping Beauty. I grew up in Globe. Anyway I have a really good treasure here . I would like to see your opinion. I know it's a great find!

Turquoise is such a beautiful Gemstone, does it come in other colors? The Olmec Megolithic Temple, has a Turquoise floor, yet it looks more green. They say it is also from the South West U.S.A.!

Turquoise does have a variety of shades and can appear more green or yellow. It can also be dyed a range of colors.

Great video! Would really love to see a clip comparing transparent rhodochrosite to transparent rhodonite since both are colored by Mn. I've also often wondered if Bixbite is the super saturated version of Morganite as both also are colored by Mn. Finally, without a transparent chain-of-custody is there any other way to establish true Sleeping Beauty turquoise origin from other undyed, untreated, non-composite turquoise of identical coloring? Thanks as always!

Gotta take another look at that green fluorite paperweight from NH. That is truly rare. After many years of JTV shopping it's one of the few things I don't already have.
Looking good, Tom. Keep up the great work.

@@gems You could really make an entire episode about them. They are diamonds that, after formed, go through a second process. This makes them actually harder then other diamonds and gives them unique properties among diamonds. Thanks for the reply! I subbed and am ready to watch!

Nobody uses the name "Bixbite" because it is confused with the mineral Bixbyite. Also, Red Beryl and Bixbyite can grow together, which is why the name "Bixbite" HAD to be dropped, and Red Beryl was approved as being correct.

Diamond should be a lot cheaper than ever before then! Why are they so valuable if they're made by man? It's no different than a tire or a car, they are all production made

Check out our video on the lab diamond growing process. It’s incredibly complex and requires a great deal of technology and energy to replicate the conditions in which diamond forms. Plus, as far as we have come, there’s still no way to guarantee that you are going to get those carbon atoms to arrange themselves in a diamond lattice each time. There’s still a bit of luck involved.

First I want to thank you guys for the best Gem Show on youtube. Almost otherworldly, but since you create such a nice atmosphere in the show, this is probably earthly. (🤭)
    - Secondly, I apologize for not being able to get all the videos. I appreciate the work you do.
Thirdly, I definitely need to bring my family to the US of A again. For a super Gem Hunt. 🇺🇸❤🤍💙🇳🇴
Btw, I like the inclusion in the display glass table 😁
