Every honest taichi practitioner should watch this. Because if fighting styles don't evolve, this is what happens. What this guy did should end up being the thing which saves taichi as a fighting art, not destroys it. No excuses, no cope, no ego, no patriotism, just adapt. It's actually in the taichi principles themselves: flow and adapt, don't remain rigid as you'll break. This applies to your ego and traditionalism as much as it does your moves.
I'm watching this and I'm wondering, is this supposed to be a comedy or something? It's clear that those Tai Chi techniques are only effective in movies, Frankly, it's embarrassing to watch. If I had known that this was going to be the end result, I wouldn't have even bothered watching it.

This stuff is such a joke. These dudes make Tai Chi look bad. Tai Chi IS a "real" martial art. No, it is not formally meant to be used offensively, yet it IS built around Chinese sword fighting movements. Any long-time practitioner, who actually understands what the movements are, and what they're doing, would not get punked like these dudes are getting so badly punked in these videos everyone gobbles up. I took some Tai Chi in college, and our teacher (a woman), showed us the forms at full speed, both empty handed, and with the sword. Looked like it could fuck someone up pretty well, if you actually know how to apply it, to me. She also demonstrated how certain movements could knock the wind out of someone, use their momentum against them, knock them flat on their back, or even break their arm. IF used right. IF the person doing it actually understands the basis of the movements. I'm not saying Tai Chi is the baddest style on the planet, again, it's PRIMARY basis is health, meditation, and energy flow. But it IS also a martial art that could legit kick someone's ass, in the right hands. These "Tai Chi is a joke, look how MMA fighters destroy them herp derp" videos, are a disgrace.
i hate how everyone thinks that all these fighting styles are useless because they lose to a mma fighter...its not exactly a fair fight now is it...its 1 fighting style vs a bunch of different fighting styles. for people that dont know, mixed martial arts are different fighting styles put together to form a well rounded fighter..its basically 1 weapon vs like 5 weapons...like a guy brings a pistol but other guy brings a pistol a rifle maybe a sword, throwing knives and a bullet proof vest which is like a strong defense .plus the mma fighter only had to prepare to fight 1 style while the tai chi guy had to prepare to fight a number of styles..all these different fighting styles, well a lot of them were not meant to be used by themselves in battle..they were meant to be mixed with other fighting styles on the battle field much like how BJJ or judo wasnt meant to be a head on primary fighting style, it was a last resort if a tussle went to the ground...so i dont think this is a fair fight.. let the tai chi guy train a year or so in MMA and i bet he would be way more effective with his tai point is, the MMA fighter shouldn't feel so special for winning
If he wants prove certain martial arts as fake, he should fight younger opponents his age. All he has proven is that younger fighters can beat up old men in their sixties.

@@Deeznuts-qr3zs first there's really no such thing as a "master" in combat arts. You can get really good at techniques sure, but that doesn't mean it you'll be as "masterful" when subjected to real violence. You need to stress test it. Tai Chi isn't stress tested, and it's moves are not all practical. It's why you don't see traditional martial artists fighting competitively. They're not practical, and are completely useless in one or more scenarios, especially ground fighting. So Israel can be a "master' of Tai chi, but maybe only 5% of those skills would be useful in very particular scenarios during a fight.

This MMA fighter can come and stay with friends of MMA in America…I am sure they could all band together like the brothers they are. He did great and I salute him!!! He wasn’t in it to insult. He simply gave Thai Chi Master some lessons on self defense.
the tai chi master couldve easily won if he used his spiritual pressure to knock away the mma fighter and then while he is on the floor he should fire ki blasts at him and fly away
Is there any sparring in tai chi?
No one's thrown hands at him like that ever ... Till now
Every honest taichi practitioner should watch this.
Wtf did you think was gonna happen?
João Salsa I thought the tai chi guy was gonna leak every place. So I predicted correctly.
I wonder what Bruce Lee would think if he saw “Masters” losing to MMA fighters.
Im pretty sure that a drunk hobo would last longer. Tai Chi is not for combat.
Remember these are the same idiots who thought that they were literally invulnerable to bullets during the boxer rebellion.
I came here from joe Rosen shorts
Bro thought he was in the dojo 😂😂😂
I'm watching this and I'm wondering, is this supposed to be a comedy or something? It's clear that those Tai Chi techniques are only effective in movies, Frankly, it's embarrassing to watch. If I had known that this was going to be the end result, I wouldn't have even bothered watching it.
Not enough cameras.
I've watched this like 10 times and its always amusing
there was no way to prepare myself for how one-sided this was going to be 😂
There should be a movie called Kenshi (MK deadly alliance version), and this should be the opening scene. And the mma fighter is the antagonist that Kenshi, the student of the Tai Chi master, fights.
He had to go into hiding. Mma fighter
Whos here from Joe Rogan?
Wow no gloves
Pretty close to a real fight
Who's here from Joe Rogan?
damn right
Difference is one style is for show and one is for fighting.
Guy definitely watching to much IP man
i hate how everyone thinks that all these fighting styles are useless because they lose to a mma fighter...its not exactly a fair fight now is it...its 1 fighting style vs a bunch of different fighting styles. for people that dont know, mixed martial arts are different fighting styles put together to form a well rounded fighter..its basically 1 weapon vs like 5 weapons...like a guy brings a pistol but other guy brings a pistol a rifle maybe a sword, throwing knives and a bullet proof vest which is like a strong defense .plus the mma fighter only had to prepare to fight 1 style while the tai chi guy had to prepare to fight a number of styles..all these different fighting styles, well a lot of them were not meant to be used by themselves in battle..they were meant to be mixed with other fighting styles on the battle field much like how BJJ or judo wasnt meant to be a head on primary fighting style, it was a last resort if a tussle went to the ground...so i dont think this is a fair fight.. let the tai chi guy train a year or so in MMA and i bet he would be way more effective with his tai
point is, the MMA fighter shouldn't feel so special for winning
Why would he even agree to doing this? Clearly he has brain damage beyond repair. Hopefully those blows to the head knocked some sense into him.
He asked for it.
But *why* though?
Seems like this practice relies heavily on grabs and hoping time will slow for your OP to let you do exactly what you want.
E mais um mestre da arte do caranguejo invertebrado pro ralo.
Ayo who’s iPhone is that?🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿
Tao chi masters beat mma fighters
In movies
guy already on the ground, why continue to rain punches on him? out of control and potentially fatal fight.
A fight either ends by knockout or by submission. So as long as neither happened it is totally fine (and common) to keep going.
1:36 start
Camilo Uribe thank you
2:00 end
What is his name
If he wants prove certain martial arts as fake, he should fight younger opponents his age. All he has proven is that younger fighters can beat up old men in their sixties.
Yeah, the guy is a bully and a coward honestly.
@@mistergekiga2455 1. the chinese are the people who set up the fight
2. you cant call yourself a tai chi master then make excuses like "being old"
also how are you calling him a coward when you're not doing any of the fighting?
@@crud8177 I'm gonna assume you're in the crowd that calls Tai Chi a fake and inefficient martial art?
@@mistergekiga2455 im gonna assume you have no clue what you're talking about
@@crud8177 Do you? Or are you another armchair martial artist that takes a couple of pre-packaged styles everyone tells them to take and calls himself an expert, then fails to see the irony of it all?
That MMA dude look ( the way he dressed ) like he just came off from strolling on the beach, or was eating in a Chinese Restaurant next door minding his own business, and some one say ' HEY, a Tai Chi master want to challenge you in the next room '!! lol.
tai chi master is known to have defeated a water melon.
I heard it was 2 at once. I might be wrong.
I mean man’s is pushing 70 so it probably wasn’t a good idea
何千年の歴史だったのだろうか

Is the mma fighter still alive?
Aight but imagine Israel adesanya a master of tai chi fighting this guy
He's a kickboxer that kicks and boxes in a cage for a living. He probably cools down with tai chi lol. But that's about it.
@@ricardon.2641 I meant like what if adesanya with his body strength skill was a master in tai chi and fought this same guy what would the result be?
Was that mma fighter also Chinese
gotta love seeing that fake p.o.s. get wrecked in 10 seconds. looking like he was about to cry as that girl came running over with the towel lol
Audience: "Should we be clapping?"
MMA fighter: "You can clap."
I know this man don’t have a 50 cent shirt on with Kanye west on it😂
I read somewhere a while back that the mma guy was getting death threats and public shunning from his Chinese community despite being Chinese himself and a large success to their culture in the mma, but they saw this as a major disrespect to the art of martial arts in china which is a huge part of their heritage/culture and what not
The Precision calculate distance and attack
I guess it’s best to know both Tai Chi seems like a fighting game that isn’t the most effective fighting style it amazes me a little bit that they themselves do not potentially know this fact has no one tested it before in their country?
Not fail the MMA fighter is twice his size.
His form must've been off.
