Can the Ti-84 solve such equations as (x-4)^2=4 or 2x^2 -9x+7=0, which give you two different answers like 1, 7/2?

I've entered the last problem twice and I keep getting 3.605551275 not 11. I don't understand what I'm done wrong. Can anyone help?

Same. Have you figured it out? I get the same thing because my calculator puts the whole equation under the square root, rather than stopping the square root..
