@@thenostalgicpodblast Yep. I'm 60 and watched Dave from the beginning in 1982, on a little black and white TV in our dorm room. We knew that we were watching something incredible and new. Dave remains unrivaled I also binged yesterday on Smalltown News and Viewer Mail.

I've met a lot of people who remind me of Dorothy Letterman in Indiana. It has its fair share of not so nice people, but there are more than a few that are warm, decent, and loving there. RIP Mrs. Letterman.
Let this be an abject lesson for every aspiring mother out there: Here is the one mother we all should look up to her in Indiana and say thank you so much for giving such a gift of Gabby Hayes to Broadcast television. Although we didn't like it when he threw the tv off the top of the building and UA-cam wouldn't let us show it.
Those look like some great pies in there. I could go for an apple pie right about now. How about you, Larry? 😁 With that in mind, we'll be right back with Lea Thompson. Stick around. 😁
She was just a lovely soul, these bits were always heart warming.
Dave at the absolute top of his game, and with Mom. There was nothing better.
Totally agree.

Not true: we wanted her to have her own show and let Dave stay home and bake pies.
A great age...the pies didn't do her any harm obviously
I wouldn't want to see the creator of Sopranos with his mom
This and her appearances at the Olympics were my favorite bits of Dave's Mom.
Rest in peace, Dorothy Letterman. 🕯
🕊️💞🙏🏽Yes & Amen !!

I always looked forward to his mom on the show!!!
Loved the segments with Dave's mom Dorothy!

God bless the soul of this wonderful woman.
RIP Dorothy Letterman ❤️🌹🥧
She pretended to accidentally almost say pumpkin pie. Dave's sharp, but she still got him.

Dave’s Mom was always such a delight. RIH, Dorothy … 🥲
Rest in Pies(and peace) Dave's Mom!
"I have an idea for a segment, how about I call my mom, ask about the weather and guess what pie she's making?"
Dave's Mum and her pies were a wonderful part of the show....🥧
Never even heard of a hickory nut, let along a pie.
I think the world should have one day off per year for international pie day.
If my math is right, Dave is almost exactly the same age today as his mom in this video

No David
Some say she’s still alive today, baking lobster into corncob pies
Hi David.
I like a good apple pie. What pie do you eat, Chester?

Cute
❤Dorothy
"Pies" in Polish means "Dog", therefore the title is pretty disturbing to me....
WTH is a hickory nut pie?
I had to look it up : The Hickory tree grows in eastern and southern USA (among other places). The hickory nuts taste similar to pecans.
