For my money, The River was the best song in the whole series. I couldn't help but feel just a little bit cheated that we didn't get the whole performance of the song... it was truly stellar!

I always thought how sad it must have been for daisy to know that billy only came to her whenever he was in his low. I believe that's what she means when she tells him he's drinking again after he kisses her, almost as a realization, because if he was sober and happy, he wouldn't have a reason to do it.
He wanted to be broken with her and she knew that when he came to her like you said...that meant he was feeling broken.
You’ve probably met people in your life who don’t do well - at all - single. That’s William.
Also the fact that it’s the only time he could, like we know he was in love with her but sober Billy couldn’t act on it. However drugs and alcohol lower your inhibitions to almost nonexistent so he gave in. It’s more complicated than just seeking her out because he’s feeling down, plus she probably tasted the whiskey.
This is so good. When he starts drinking again I was like: "Nooooooooo!" at home. It was so sad.
It's an amazing song, but when Simone starts singing the chorus I just go nuts. I can't stop watching this is loop

@matthew Driver they could cover the Daisy Jones version of the Fleetwood Mac reunion/The Dance. The showrunner already said he's plotting a season two so it might be a possibility 🤞🏼

In the book it is alot more calm but i realized they upped the ante for drama lol
