Normua mentioned MF was cut from Vanilla BBS's Japanese release for being too hard and was readded during the english release and onward so they were aware how unfair the boss was
Oh the playtesters did. The Osaka team however did not work on the final mix secret bosses, apparently it was mostly made by the coders of the mirage arena. ...which honestly explains how miserable it is

@@chilee8809 Don't dare impugn me honor after the shit I went through beating him the first time. I use the cheese for farming Manifest Illusions, because a 2 minute cheesed repeatable boss is much more preferable to 30 minutes of synth material grinding just to make one damn item. The point is, he has the easiest cheese in the entire KH series. I'm not gonna go through more stress than I have to, I already got enough of that shit as is. Cheeses, just like super bosses themselves, are optional. You can cheese the fight before or after beating it regularly. And if you don't have time to learn all the gimmicks in a fight (because life), then clearly the cheese is at least a short term solution. Edit, 10 months later: Still have a profound hatred for LW. On the other hand, MF is at this point one of the only secret bosses in BBS I actually enjoy. Odd.

I had to take a moment to actually see how close that was, so i went frame by frame, and the move hit Terra's guard _literally_ the frame after Terra's block animation started
It's no coincidence that Sham finds cool stuff on MF and KBM finds cool stuff on Young Xehanort in DDD, both of whom are the same character in the command deck games.

It's funny how there is pretty much no way to avoid taking damage from the laser balls as Terra, it's like you have to rely on SC+OM and Cure to get through it
Still a very badly designed fight but it’s cool to see that it’s still possible to beat him with Terra & not spam surges. What is MF’s stats BTW, I know his HP is 1,000 but the wiki show his attack & defense as “?” Is it like 90+ attack and a defense that’s pretty low for a secret boss?
Does MF have some telegraph or pattern to the rewind move, or does he just negate your damage when he feels like it? Sounds like something BBS-DDD era Osaka might've done.
It just happens when he's hit with a physical attack and its rng basically. That won't happen if it has a magic associated with it (like surges and dashes, it just does the shield thing). I could be wrong tho

I always thought Blade charge was cool but this game makes it so damn hard to use it alot of times so this is cool to see you make it work more consistently.
Im pretty sure i have Terra clips of Mysterious Figure doing 5 Death Rays back to back AND another one when i defeated him, and he did not use the "X" Attack a single time. Why is that??
Mf changes his attack patterns based on a variety of factors Your command deck, action commands and the positions where you equiped them will change his attacks
The only thing that they had to do to make this fight at least decent was give him a window where you can block a specific attack that makes him stunned for just a little bit so you can wail on him even for a second.

i think its because they kept hearing people loving or wanting harder boss fights. so they made this.

It was intentionally designed to be completely unfair. so much so that it was nerfed in every subsequent release of the game.
Fun Fact: this is the ONLY boss in the entire series that had to be nerfed for re-releases.

Don't know what his def is but his atk is irrelevant. On crit all attacks bring you to 1hp.
