its impressive how fluid all the movements are in these games. I remember all of these games and wish they made the fifth one already...
Same the only sly cooper game I was ever able to play was sly cooper 2 on my PS2 but now my PS2 freezes but now I'm able to play all the sly cooper games on my PS5
Sly's games have a big following and its not that the devs don't want make a 5th, they're all for it, but Sony just doesn't wanna greenlight it, at least that's what I heard a few years back.
I like to think that everyday Sly 5 isn't announced is another day Bentley and Murray spent trying to find Sly and if another game ever got announced it means they found him.

He's the best. Period. Underrated and quality franchise with great story and lore. Charming, yet more mature than you'd think by its appearance but not like Jak 2 "mature"
Me and my old man grew up playing this racoons sneaky games so it's always cool seeing people keep playing em to this day.

It sure is heartwarming to see Sony do a remaster of the first Sly Cooper game once more. Why would they do all four Sly games it’ll be great too. But if Sony acknowledges that everyone wants Sly Cooper again there might be a good comeback where we’ll finally get a Sly 5.
Sly, a game I've played for 16 years now non-stop on whatever I can get it on. I love this series to death.

we actually share a similar memory, when my little brother was born in 2004 my mom asked around for name suggestions, my suggestion was ofcourse sly, started on nintendo 64 with mario banjo and donkey kong, but nothing stuck like the sly games did, the amount of hours and memory cards full of sly 1-3 saves🔥
13:06 Bruh I love Sly Cooper, I had crushes on Carmelita and Neeyla, and while I haven't played the games in *years* (partly due to still only having a PS2) you were making some rookie mistakes. Also, I used to hate the submarine one as well, but there is a much, much harder level that all Sly fans know. It's when you have to collect the computers that fall from the ceiling while using the vans battering ram on the lava slugs. Of course that mission is all the way in The Cold Heart of Hate. By the way the flashlight guard in the cunning disguise. He got you twice because the first time, you were still walking while in the barrel, the second you jumped out right in front of him. At least in Sly 2 you gain the pickpocket mechaninc.

Ah, my childhood. Both the sound of the PS2 booting up, and the Sly Cooper games.
The PS2 era mascots are the biggest items on my wishlist for Sony to re-release on their Steam page. Hell, if we could get the inFamous games on PC as well as Resistance and Killzone, I think a lot of people would be over the moon.
Absolutely and I don’t really understand why they haven’t. The only way we have to play some of those games is either by original hardware,emulating or streaming which can be miserable to play.
@Luckyyleo if my only option is emulation, then I'm setting sail. Sony lost me after the PS4 because I finally switched my main platform to PC.

Lots of people say they want Sly Cooper to make a comeback. And i'm not okay with that. I don't want Sony to ruin my childhood like so many other studios have ruined my other favorite games.
I can see that and I’m torn, this is my favorite video game franchise and the last game ended on such a cliff hanger so I would like to see a real end to this franchise because it deserves it but I know that comes with the risk of it being ruined.
I agree 100%. People are begging for a sly 5 after the shit we got from sly 4?! Sly ended at sly 3. People need to grow up and accept it's over. That's not a bad thing.
@a.r.m.ycypher6645 i was fine wĥen it ended at 3 , it was perfect . But we got 4 , we need 5 to redeem the game again lol , also that ending wasn't fair for sly ( to be lost forever ) so i need 5 just for that , however if it will be like 4 then naaah im good lol😂

The roll is actually pretty good, it’s how you use it, down hill primarily.
i never beat my brothers copy of sly cooper because he had the good controller, and the other ones each had 1 broken button, and i got tired of switching controllers back and forthe
Honestly the first game was super hard given the classic powerup style play with the lucky horseshoes. Much like Mario needing a Mushroom or Sonic needing a ring, you could die easily if you didn't play carefully. Sly 2, 3, and 4 all had health bars which were at times more forgiving if you didn't play stealthily.

I absolutely hated that treasure chest minigame. I swear, nobody actually playtested it.
I just need them to either retcon 4, make a really good Sly 5, or give us good emulations of 2 and 3 to go with 1 on ps5

theres a glitch to enter the cannon without any keys its used in speedrunning strats its pretty cool how many skips and glitches this game has not sure if its on the ps4 and ps5 version though.

If there was ever a reason to casually bully a company into making a game that'll redeem another company's attempt at continuing the franchise the first company started. It would be right now in that we bully Sucker Punch into making the final installment, the very last installment. I'm sure even they're disappointed in the ending Sly 4 had

@@Luckyyleo I'm an Xbox guy and I only own a PS4 pro to play Until Dawn every year or so. Are the games out on PS4 or do you still have to do that stupid PS Now or whatever that stream of a game was called?
The first game is out on the PlayStation store for you to actually buy now and not have to do that streaming junk

I'm mad but also grateful that we didn't considering what 4 was like. Now sure I do know that it is possible to make a good reimagining of Sly cooper in new engines and platforms, but as for developing it and respecting the past? Hard to have faith in that these days.
If im remembering correctly, this was the first game i ever beat as a kid. Also.... Playing this now made me realize how bad of a gamer i was back in the day. 2nd also, the raceing level in the 2nd world was horrible.

Okay bro in the part where the platforms sink as soon as Raliegh lands on them, you don't have to count his hops, you just go in like a half circle around the middle pillar. *Breathes deeply* I'm not trying to Heckle you, but I am also a Sly fan, and with all the ways you kept dying in this. I worry about how you'll do in the next vid with Mugshot, because each member of the fiendish five is usually tougher than the last. Seriously though MORE SLY!!! We need to get all the games returning. To be fair though I wanted to say this sooner... You should play what you love dude. If you love Sly and want to show off that love, then do it, and I'll hit that subscribe button right now.

@@Luckyyleo Cool, I also almost forgot that between the Treasure in the Depths, and the lava slug fight, another challenging one is when you got to kill chickens for a ghost to get a treasure key. That one's on a time limit. But yeah, you don't die much so long as you take your time and pay attention. Specially if you're facing Miss Ruby. Of course, if you don't pay attention not only do you get voodooed, but also you can get a "Firey Wheel!", "Bomang Chop!", and of course the ever classic "Palms of THUNDER!"
Possible re makes with the others? 👀👀 maybe? hopefully? Fingers crossed. I'd love to actually own the full series and not just stream it.

Okay Leo as of last night I dug out the old PS2 and started playing the Thievius Racoonus, and I might have already died a bunch. At least I had the golden horseshoe when I fought Raleigh. Anyway, currently tackling Mesa City. with two treasure keys atm. I kind of hope you post part two before I reach Mugshot. I'm also betting you're either halfway through or already completed the Hati job and took down Ms. Ruby. I just hope you didn't have too much trouble taking out the chickens for that ghost.
Haha this is awesome, unfortunately as of writing this I have just finished mesa city and that’s where part two will take place. I have some other projects in the works but sly cooper will be coming back I promise!!
@@Luckyyleo Leo buddy, I just beat Mugshot a few minutes ago. Died multiple times cause my old controller kept messing up on me like bringing out the binocucom. Least I saved the chase with Carmelita as the last mission before taking on old Meathead Muggshot.

Piranha Lake and Down Home Cooking are the most annoying missions in Vicious Voodoo. Oh btw Leo, did you ever hear of or play the Xenosaga trilogy?
I had to buy a 2nd version of Sly 2 because i played the original so much i scratched the first disc. Ended up emulating it so i dont scratch the 2nd one.
Is this the Sucker Punch version or the Sanzaru version? If i recall the remaster messed up the timing between the music and gameplay.

Its an understandable sort of issue that people dont want the franchise to be ruined by woke shitters. But there is some hope with remakes like Spyro and Dead Space but the chances of it being remade as those ones were, is very slim.
What do you think of Thieves In Time?
I know that thieves in time gets a lot of criticism and it is definitely different than the other three games. But I really enjoyed that game and that could have something to do with nostalgia. But I do love that game and I will probably eventually make a video on it

Look 4's story wasn't even worth 1 coin on thiefnet. Gameplay was great. If they make a 5, just make the game play great and honestly. All is well to me.

The original trilogy being released on new gen consoles is something to be hyped about. Sly cooper getting some sort of attention again alone is exciting and is a step closer to us potentially getting a new game

Personally I'm not a fan of the last of us . To many spots where you can choose stealth followed by mandatory combat where enemies from the previous area immediately just immediately wreck you
