I'm sadly at the bottom of my Springbank 10 bottle. It's definitely one of the best whiskies I've ever had. What a beautiful finish. You can taste the quality of how they do things there: in house, by hand. Glad you both liked it! I'm gonna just stare at the low level in my bottle now. I'm not crying... YOU'RE CRYING!

You guys are great and so is the music! Springbank is wonderful and not too hard to find in my area. It is moderately peated by the way. If you ever see the 15 just buy it. I like it even more than the 10.

I love the channel, especially Kalyn! She reminds me of Christina Applegate, who was fantastic on *Married with Children* when I was in my 20s. Now, as I approach my 60s, those memories of my younger days are so powerful!

Springbank and Campbeltown in general is known for their balance between the spirit and an oily, industrial peat. Where Islay is more of an intense bonfire, Campbeltown is more like mechanic's garage or a coal plant.
AKA, the Campbeltown Funk
The only one I’ve had is the 12 cask strength and it is wonderful. Highly recommended. Definitely want to try the 10 and the 15.
Don't forget the other Campbeltown gems: Hazelburn, Longrow and Glen Scotia as well as your noted Kilkerren. Campbeltown Loch is quite nice but a little on the expensive side for a single malt blend. For an offering just as good and maybe a little better (but at $30), I would recommend MacLean's Nose which is a blend of Ardnamurchan, Glen Scotia, and a few others.

This is a bottle you should come back to in a month or two. The 10 really opens up with a little oxidation.
One of my favorite Campbelltown whiskies I’ve been able to try so far is GlenScotia Victoriana.

Springbank uses a bit of peated whisky in that bottle.
It’s kinda funny to hear you describing it as a “good clean malt whisky”, because amongst whisky geeks (at least on the European side of the Atlantic) Springbank is considered a poster child for a “dirty” and “funky” Scottish single malt. For the sake of the flavor chase, consider tasting the Springbank 10 next to a “light and fruity” Speysider. Oh, neck pours can be deceiving, underwhelming or “closed”. Give this bottle some time to “breathe” and it will open up magically…
That is interesting...I also probably drink way more peated than unpeated scotch so I'm sure my palate is slightly off center in that way 🙃 Definitely will continue checking in on this bottle over the next few months!

Curious to see what you say. Springbank 10 is only available at one store in my state and it's $100. The 15 is $150. The store has about a case of each in stock at all times.
I've found the Campbeltown blend disappointing. As have I found some batches of Springbank 10. One batch of Springbank 15 is the best whisky I've ever had. Longrow and Kilkerran (also made by Springbank) have always been amazing, in my experience. Springbank is batchy. Which is cool, but also makes it somewhat unpredictable. I never pass up a Springbank if I haven't had it before, or if I've had that batch and it's amazing (which it usually is). Springbanks are pretty hard to find. Not impossible, but you have to get pretty lucky.

I bought bottles of Both the 10yo and the 18yo. I didn't care for either one. I don't get the hype.
Sure wish I enjoyed this bottle, but the farminess funk was too much for me. Smelled like a silo full of wet grain.
