As an aspiring showrunner/filmmaker, I would like to not only make my own 2D animated shows but also one or two 2D animated movies. I think the key for 2D animated movies to become successful is to have a strong and appealing concept with good marketing, and I got an idea to adapt a broadway musical that could fit that description.

Hollywood killed 2D animation because their budgets were becoming insane and 3D was cheaper to produce. They manipulated the general audience into thinking 2D was an outdated style and 3D being the hot technologically progressive thing.
Hand drawn is the reason for cgi And I chose it to begin with hand drawn. Disney needs to take that lesson seriously to make an inspirational project towards the spider verse in competition. I swear to god cgi is aging quite badly in recent years for being cheap.
While the animation in most hand drawn animated films still hold up decades later, but with a lot of CGI animated films the animation has aged poorly, they look primitive by today’s standards, there are some scenes where you can see the backgrounds right through the characters.
