How many people here after the ledger debacle ?
Yep….
Thinking to get this one or Ellipal Titan.
@@pkavics9182 I hit this one. MetaMask integration is good here.
@@fromagperspective9428 Thanks. I prefer Keystone Pro now for sure over Ellipal. Keystone is open source while Ellipal is not, so that is also another reason. BTW I decided keep my Ledger for now. But If I buy a new one, Keystone.
@@fromagperspective9428 that is interesting. Are you saying that every receive a QR code on the Keystone is new each time? That’s great if that is true. I would love to know more about it.
So many videos just showing the setup without any demo using the wallet. Thank you for being so thorough.
Thank you Rex, I was looking forward to this, it was so useful.
Another great video! Thank you for your time. You explain in a very pleasant way and you are still the best. Thanks again. Joseph
OMG...another hardware wallet. Security is number one; but slipping fast to number three while our country goes to heck. Mahalos again Rex. Tomorrows yo. 😁
Excellent! Thanks.
Thank you, useful
Nice video. Like Keystone 👍
Thank you !!!
Great video, is there a way to add the 25th word, passphrase like you did with Ledger tutorial video? Thanks in advance.
Does the D'cent keystone pro (not pro 3) need another update? ive only done one update when i first got it about a year ago, then put it in the safe and forgot about it, now wanting to move more crypto on it ? Thank in advance for any help 👌✌️🙌
thank you Dad
I had no idea one of his kids was watching this video 😁
00:28:14 what do you mean by "ethyrium network" you mean the crypto stock exchange where you have the ethyrium coins right?
Hi Rex - If I want to load crypto from my Ledger nano x to my K3P via my OKX wallet, do I have to input the 24 word recovery phrase from my Ledger into the K3P when setting it up....???? I keep getting an error msg.... "Something went wrong - Please check that your hardware wallet is set up with the recovery phrase or passphrase associated to the selected account"
My personal experience with Keystone is that the batteries burn up so quickly for short transactions that if you don’t have a bunch of fresh batteries on hand when you really need to use it, you’re not getting access to your crypto. I am surprised the company wasn’t embarrassed enough by this flaw, and they went ahead and put the product out anyway.
I have noticed that too. It seems to suck the life out of batteries quicker that any other gadget I have. I will generally just charge it with the USB cable before use. (got tired of buying new batteries)
I noticed that towards the end of the video in the last couple minutes, it seemed to take a little while for it to read your fingerprint. Was this happening every time? Or did your finger not make it to the little circle quickly? How did you find the reading of the fingerprint? Was it responsive?
Normally it takes 0.5s to unlock the screen.
Hi crypto dad .It’s always great looking at your videos. They are so through and I like them.I have a question .I set up my multi coin app. on the device. I have Shiba Inu on the app.,but I am not seeing SHIB on the device. So how do I authorize the transfer from the app .when I am not seeing it on the device. Thanks in advance.
Thanks mate. Does usdt on Tron trc20 work?
Another great tech vid !! Question: which budget cold storage hardware wallet do you recommend (medium advanced user): Ledger Nano S plus, Tresor 1, or another?
I would have to go with the Ledger Nano S Plus. (Just my Opinion) Most bang for your buck
@@CryptoDad Have you changed your mind since the 'Recover' debacle?
@@mitchsmith71 What do you think
@@njb7319 errrr, what do YOU want?
Hi Crpyto dad do you offer one on one help, learning to transfer to the keystone pro ? Thanks.
can you make video, in case Keystone is lost or broken, how do I retrieve my assets? many thanks
Is there a tutorial for SD card transaction signing?
Can you sell directly from the wallet?
@CryptoDad @keystonewallet
How can we be sure that the generated wallet / recovery phrase was not already copied by the manufacturer before leaving the factory?
Let us please know if the generation process had some sort of randomness (like Ngrave Zero has), that maybe was cut out from this vid... ?!? Thank You
If you have doubts about the randomness of seed phrase generation, we have a feature that support generation by dice roll. You can generate your own seed by rolling dice:)
Hi CD, is it correct that the keystone plus can only be used to sign a buy or sell order. it can not be used to store your crypto coins on?
No wallet stores your coins/tokens. Your asset is on the respective blockchain, your wallet controls the private key to access/move those funds
Looks very much like the Cobo Vault.
Yes, same team. They actually left Cobo and started their own company because Cobo wasn’t supporting their wallet division.

@@CryptoDad not a bad wallet, biggest drawbacks were touch sensor, fat fingers (me) and lack of coins. Thanks for the response. Keep up the great work.
@@CryptoDad So does this device take XRP cobo? I'm using hotbit to buy xrp but they love to do node maintenance alot so the other chains are closed.
So they only have xrp cobo chain to withdrawal so my sending of xrp comes with a tag. Before I buy this does it have xrp address with tag? Thanks.
@@solonepeon5805 you don’t need a tag when you’re storing XRP in your own wallet. You only need to use the tag when you’re sending XRP back to an exchange. In that case, you do have a tag field available when withdrawing from the XRP wallet.
@@paulvincent1494 what coins dos it lack? I checked and it has a bunch.
So you download the firmware, drop it in the micro SD card THEN you open it ? So confusing.
Nice video
Is Keystone openn source?
Thank you
Yes we are.
It’s hard to believe the set up process can be aired gabbed after all the online verification. I’m pretty sure there’s a different way to do this that could prevent hackers from walking you through the whole process.
How do I add other tokens?
I’m living in Thailand. I notices caution: Products with electrical plugs are designed for use in the US. Outlets and voltage differ internationally and this product may require an adapter or converter for use in your destination. Did you buy the EU adapter also?
Hey buddy, you may refer to below parameters. due to the charging protocol, our battery does not support fast charging, it is recommended to use a charging head below 5V2A power, the charging cable needs to use typeC (2.0) or (3.0), and it must be a Type-A to Type-C cable, you cannot use a type-C to type-C charging cable.
We can only accept 5V1A or 5V2A small chargers, high power chargers will not charge and may damage the rechargeable battery.
Because the battery has overcharge protection, if the charger plug/charger default output voltage exceeds 7v, it will burn out the TVS tube on the battery board, resulting in the charging lamp not lighting up and can no longer be charged.
Hope this answer would help and feel free to ask if there's any problems on that;)
@@KeystoneWallet Alright. Thanks for the helpful answer😃 I’ll definitely check it out and let you know later. Thanks again🙏
@@mintverick cool, let me know if you still got a problem. Always here for help:)
Sorry, but a question off-topic, Can you cover how best to store Aptos atm, or until Ledger can store it?
Hi, Keystone is already integrated with Fewcha wallet which makes Keystone the FIRST hardware wallet to be compatible with the Aptos ecosystem
I am looking at purchasing a Keystone pro. Any chance you would hook me up with a discount if I make my purchase?
To complicated wallet Rex!!!
There’s always a balance between security and convenience.
In what way is it complicated?
Good afternoon
After updating the firmware, do you need to remove the mini SD card from the wallet?
You don't have to, but yes you can remove it and plug it in next time you need to update the firmware
@@lerayyang9723 can I use a 1 tb SD card? Is that enough space for the update?
@@davehanks7861 Hey, 1tb will be too much. The capacity should be within 512GB. My SanDisk 64GB works perfectly fine.
@@lerayyang9723 thanx I just found a 16gb
Do you have a promo code?
where do you get the microsd chip?
I ordered it on Amazon
😃👍🏼👊🏼
It doesn't support alot of coins tho.
Can I take out the micro sdcard after i update it?
Yes you can
You can but if you want the signing info to show you need to keep it in there.
I am thinking store some on my SOL on keystone but not sure how safe is to connect third party wallet as Solflare to my Keystone. IS it safe?
Why can you only use a micro SD card under 512gb?
The SD card is used only for firmware update because Keystone has no direct connections with PC. 512GB+ will be more than enough
What about passphrase? 2d Account
Passphrases are supported. The latest model allows you to mange more than one wallet.

Why is keystone not showing up on the wallet
If your talking about the native Keystone app, they no longer support it. They decided to move to 3rd party wallets only in the interest of decentralization. Now, they only focus on the hardware and no longer make a native wallet application.
@@CryptoDad thanks for the reply .
So how do I move my crypto from ledger nano s to the keystone pro?
Does the keystone also not support trust wallet ?
Why doesn't it support BNB?
Keystone does support BNB. You can check out their tutorials on site:)
Hello, CryptoDad, today I heard a security expert express his serious concerns, that Keystone is forced to comply with CCP's regulations, and must provide the government with decoding Data that would give the chinese government access to your assets if they wanted to. Do you think this theory is too far fetched or do you think those coulld be real issues of concern?
Hi there! It's always good to consider security concerns when dealing with cryptocurrency hardware wallets. While I can't verify the specific claims mentioned, it's important to conduct thorough research and assess the credibility of sources before making decisions about which wallet to use. I personally believe that the Keystone Pro is a secure and reliable option, but as with any product, it's crucial to stay informed and make the best choice for your individual needs. If you have further concerns, feel free to reach out to Keystone's support team for more information. Stay safe and happy crypto-ing! #CryptoSecurity 🔒
The pro version is less safe. Anyone could make a copy of your finger print.
You can just use the pin code if you want to. You don't have to enable finger print.
Pity they are so expensive.
But it's Chinese
kinda NOT simple
You need to inform people Keystone hardware wallets are made in china.
Made in China and what's the problem?
....SO IS THE PHONE AND COMPUTER YOUR USING DA🤭🙄🤦♀😜
They are made in HK. So what? iPhone is made in China is that also a concern?
This man is not the true Crypto Dad! He’s a scammer ! Do NOT trust him. He’s a thief!
Man this thing is a little complicated, sent btc not showing up in app have to change derivation path of the device, hassles. ETH worked fine
