guy why not mentioned the new Ledger Nano S Plus?! open-source is not always great since it allows attackers to find bugs faster.
is Windows/MacOs/iOS open-source? the last point Trezor does no have HSM (Hardware security module) hence its more susceptible to hardware hacking
you really don't why auditable open source is better.... guess why the best security tools are all open source, including most sucurity hardware (firewalls and routers). Just try to understand
@@tyyuuuihycyctct its a myth people think "oh open-source it must be secure since 200 people looked at the code and 1000 downloaded it" wrong having it open source allows hackers to make custom firmware. the best security tools are all open source? perhaps but we are not talking about offensive tools only oparating system. Are Pentagon's security cameras open-source?
@@tyyuuuihycyctct
No, the best security is not just open source, it's audited source
The military does not use open source unless it's vetted and they roll their own
Nothing wrong with closed source as long as it's independently verified by credible sources
Open source just means more eyes viewing it which increases the statistical odds of an exploit being found, that doesn't make it more secure
10 high quality reviewers analysing closed source could certainly be better than 20 less qualified people reviewing open source
Just because it's open source doesn't make it secure by nature
@@stultuses who decides which reviewers are credible?
How do we know they aren't working with an inside bad actor?
Let's hope no bad actors ever think to put an inside man in the fab facility that manufacturers HSMs......
Trezor model T guy here! Passphrase protected. The security is amazing. Sleep like a baby knowing it's impossible to wake up and realize you were robbed... not gonna happen
I’m ordering the Trezor Model T thanks Guy!!
To be compared to hardware wallet of Ngrave named ZERO. Is this first crypto hardware wallet with the highest security certification in the world (EAL7) really has better security?
Does a hard wallet that connects via Bluetooth actually comprise the wallet’s security in some way?
I heard KEEPKEY wallets are no longer in production. Is that true?
SafePla is quite popular nowadays in crypto community I would love to hear Guy's opinion on that new mainstream device.
No new information in this video basically a copy of the previous Guy's video from the last year.
Thanks for the Video, although, i was also expecting you to have included the ELLIPAL TITAN cold wallet...?
D'cent hardware wallet is an excellent choice. Surprised it wasn't on here with all the features it has.
Thats the one I want
D’CENT is the best one in my opinion. Ledger NANo is wayyyyy overrated
Can it store XRP XLM XDC ALGO HBAR and FLARE?
@@SolidGeddoe everything except algo
Just last week, Ledger said they will soon stop offering support for Ledger Nano S.
Where is the Ngrave cold wallet ?
I can't believe ledger forced me to come here for another one
Can you please do a review on air gaped wallets such as the Ellipal and N-Grave, also biometric wallets such as Dcent. Thanks
Great content, looking to buy a wallet, I still have some concerns however: I understand opensource is great when you want to provide transparency for a blockchain project, an NFT project, ICOs and so on... But doesn't opensource make it easier for attackers as they have the code in front of them?
Dragonwar is a very hot game, it’s lauched today and very stable. Game has Arena mechanism, if u want to join u must buy a Genesis chest, u will get 5 dragon from this to build your army (about 30$). The mainnet and Arena was released, so check this now because after that you can’t buy any CHEST !!
1/ method of loci. Back up for back up. Seed stored in your mind.
2/ in US smallest safety deposit box is about 70 a year
Would love to hear your take on BC Vault, thank you.
It’s not in his top 5
Hi Guy, can you please do a review on the BC Vault hardware wallet.
you are one of the rare tubes i follow. Keep up !
Coin Bureau, any chance of a a video covering the best/safest mining programs to use to go along with this wallet video?
Do you have a review video on arculas?
Good going Guy. Spot on. ...especially with bankrupcies. Staying alive, staying alive...
Very thorough from the Beuro.
The cheapest and my favorite offline wallet is a paper. You generate your seedphrase, then write it on a paper, and never save it digitally. All you need is a pen and a piece of a paper, and of course a secure, physical storage for the paper.
Where do you store your cryptos?
Very Insecure.
@@zak00101 How?
Neko's hardware wallet will be an excellent defi-born alternative to the usual suspects I see here. Should be available in the fall! I have a ledger now, but will definitely pick a Neko up when it comes out.
Looks like a good pick indeed
How do I find out more info about this wallet?
@@CIK360 The Neko!!!
Yes, patiently waiting
I'm also waiting for Neko's wallet 🙌🏼
ELLIPAL is air gapped would love a review on that
Is there any way to split my master private key in N parts where it can be reconstructed only if someone gets k < N parts ? (and so I can store it in multiple locations and have one of them stolen/ lost)
Great video as always. I like Trezor and Ledger. I have both and I've been using them for almost a year with my netcoins exchange.
Friend can you combine ledger and trezor with ngraver zero?? Like you can combine ledger and trezor?? How does it work to combine ledger nano x and trezor?
Hi Guy, will appreciate step by step on how to transfer AVAX C-Chain from Trust Wallet to Ledger Nano X ....TIA
Always love your content. Would love your thoughts on ARCULUS. Love the concept. It’s newer and has limited coin support.
I have one, it's awesome.
Don’t have any wallet and have considered ARCULUS because I only have my iPhone and no computer. Does ARCULUS support QNT ?
Guy! You totally missed a crucial hardware wallet. There is only one hardware wallet that works seamlessly with metamask mobile. Keystone! It’s excellent and was a real game changer for protected defi on the go.
Too bad it's so dang big and a battery hog. Love it otherwise. Hopefully Metamask mobile opens support for other cheaper/compact airgap wallets like SafePal.
Why no NGRAVE Zero?
Not in his top 5 obviously.
I have a question about the Ledger nano x.....Where is the actual crypto stored? Is it on the device itself or is the device a kind of bridge and the crypto is stored somewhere in the world lol.
Ngrave’s AEL7 device is the only one with that high of a security.
Thanks for this great video.
Can you explain the “seed redundancies “ on the Trezor T?
own over 30 different cryptos and was wondering if I can put them all in the hardware wallet
Get neko. Buy the NFt and you’ll get the hard wallet. Then all holders/stakers will get a % of all the transaction fees common in all wallets
Never mind with my previous question earlier regarding Yubikeys etc! Reviewed the BC Vault presentation, which completely answered my questions as to the important use of cold wallets for cryptocurrencies! Thanks
I'd like to see your review about the Safepal S1 which has air gap and backed up by Binance. Unfortunately closed source. QR code technics seems safe.
QUESTION: can I replace the original USB cable for my Trezor Model T with a longer USB cable? Thanks!
yes
This truly aged very well. I`ve got my Ledger Nano X since 2 days and I absolutely love it and the security feeling that comes with it. Thanks for the detailed review, Guy!
my beautiful gf got me a Nano S plus for xmas and i couldnt be happier. so much joy knowing my money is safe and secure and put all in one tiny device!
@@DEV3N87 Hopefully she bought it directly from the manufacturer
This aged very bad
@@east9z No, it didn`t. Users are just too stupid to recognize the difference of a compromised product or of an optional service.
@@Irgin however it is only optional , until it is not :) the company can upgrade the firmware at any time and while I personally find it far fetching , it is not impossible , plus personally would feel more secure with open source software
Great info! How about Safepal? Ellipal Wallet?
