Thank you for the content!!! All we need is the right advice on how to invest in crypto and we will be set for life , made $24k from trading last month and so happy about it.
That's huge!! Been trying to trade on my own for a while now it isn't going well .few weeks ago I lost like $7000 in a particular trade . Can you please help me out or at least advise me on what to do?
Well , I picked the challenge to put my finances in order . Then I invested in cryptocurrency stock through the assistant of my discretionary fund manager, Amenia Rose.
Such a genuine personality !!! She is really a good investments advisor . I was privileged to attend some of her seminar. That's how I started my crypto investment.
Is there a soft wallet that allows me to see all the crypto and balances. I live in the US so i can’t use OKC. I don’t want to install wallets that want my seed to my keystone pro 3. Any advice sir
Sparrow is a software wallet, right? I always thought that software wallets offer a lot of attack surface so that the assets can be stolen? That's why I bought the Keystone as a hardware wallet to store my assets offline. Or should Sparrow simply be seen as a kind of “mirror” that displays the assets but has no direct access to them?In other words, couldn't Sparrow be hacked and someone else get access to my assets? Sry, I'm new to the Bitcoin space.
The first Keystone wallets had a replaceable battery (plus an extra battery container that could be attached which allowed users to power it with four AAA batteries. Eliminating these options is a step backwards.
Glad you found it useful! Bitcoin-only firmware just has less potential attack surface than more complex firmware. Is there a case I can point to where this has actually mattered? No, but that’s the idea.
TOtal newbie here, just bought K3Pro yesterday. I don't get that page with the green/yellow blocks on my Keystone 3 pro at all. Do you know what is going on?
my comment disappeared before I could finish - If the battery is non-swappable, what to do when it dies? Can it be run off of the usb-c cable even if the battery is dead? Also, other articles indicated that cables NOT made by keystone might NOT work. This is nearly a deal-killer if true. Can't charge it if you lose the keystone cable, and when battery is dead, you won't be able to run it at all if you lose the cable. I don't see extra keytone usb-c cables for sale at their website either.
reviewer cyber scilla says when battery dead, it can run off usb-c connection. But non-swappable battery seems a bit dangerous. You know what happens to batteries when they get old - leak acid all over the place. But you don't want to open non-swappable pro3 to get rid of dead, leaking battery because the anti-tamper design will probably grenade the wallet if it senses a tamper attempt. Or - will the anti-tamper feature work if there is absolutely no power in an old, completely dead battery? Would be nice to get some answers. Reviewers at "the medium" says, not all usb-c cables work with previous keystone wallets. Maybe the pro3 is better, but it's not clear.
more info: review at unchained capital says that the anti-tamper mech runs off a button battery w 2 year lifespan. So if you want to keep anti-tamper in operation, need to replace button every 2 years. But not clear if you can open this thing to get at the battery. It appears to be designed not to be opened.
@@dagee234if you ever have trouble with any wallet you can pull your crypto up on another wallet. It only hold your keys. Your crypto is always stored on the block chain. You only need your passphrase to do so.
Ian, love your content and trust your work. Can you please research and review the BC Wallet please. Seems to be a very secure long term solution w a variety of security features but it’s not open source. Would really appreciate your review. TY 👊🏻

sparrow seems great but i dont own a webcam to scan and it looks like its desktop only. i have a keystone 3 pro and currently pair with OKX wallet, im looking to setup an umbrel node with keystone 3 and maybe blue wallet? tutorials on this seem scarce
You would need to pair your Umbrel node with something and then pair that something with your Keystone. That something can certainly be Blue Wallet though I haven’t done any videos with that exact configuration (though have one for Umbrel if you want to check it out)
Additionally I’m pretty sure you can still do airgapped with Keystone except with files instead of QRs? So you’d need to pass a microSD back and forth which can be a pain but pretty sure this is possible (that is if you wanted to use Sparrow on your computer)
REMEMBER, 12 WORDS IS ENOUGH FOR YOUR SEED PHRASE Because Bitcoin elliptic curve security is only 128 bits anyway, as Andreas Antonopoulos and Adam Back said. Using 24 words is like typing a 100 characters long password, when the machine will check only the first 20 characters of the password anyway.
Keystone 3 pro is a scam hardware wallet because there firmware update only last 3 years after that you need to buy their another new hardware wallet. There old hardware wallet stop release new firmware download.
Interesting - will have to look further into this. I could understand some sort of backwards incompatibility being possible with a significant change in the hardware that happens very infrequently but any sort of “planned obsolescence” would not be great
Is anyone else having an issue charging there keystone 3 pro. Mine dropped to 0% and won't charge up. It won't let me do anything unless it's at 20% charge. Wondering if anyone has been able to solve this? Right now it's just a waste of money unless I can fix it.
are you using the cable that came with the wallet? There are other reviews on the web saying that USB-c cables NOT made by Keytone do NOT work for some weird reason.

Great video. Why would you choose Bitcoin only firmware? Is it safer?
Glad you found it useful! Bitcoin-only firmware just has less potential attack surface than more complex firmware. Is there a case I can point to where this has actually mattered? No, but that’s the idea.
Is Keystone planning on supporting Liquid Bitcoin wallets? (compatibility with Green Wallet)
It’s a good question but I’m not sure!
Good question, will pass to the team and check if it's in our pipeline.

Hello! Ian: would love if you could answer my question ? Many of us are wondering about it.
Hoping I addressed it but let me know
Is this wallet considered as safe as a bitcoin only Coldcard for storing BTC only?
I think the bitcoin only firmware is comparable and both are open source (source viewable at least)

Kinda true. The wallet doesn’t have updates. The last update was 3 years ago. So probably there won’t be any until a new Keystone wallet releases…
Does a sparrow only work for BTC. Got my KS pro 3 yesterday but I want to see all the balances of all my crypto

I think this is a known issue that is usually resolved by updating the firmware

This thing is made in HK, doesn’t feel trustworthy to me. First thoughts are back doors. Maybe I am just exaggerating. Only time will tell
This device is too big and too heavy.
I like it! Tiny screens can be risky when it comes to hardware wallets. But to each their own.
